From 250 straight down to 62 in 6 months. What a stitch up!
Anyone want to pretend it's anything but that and put up a plausible explanation for VIC' lead ballon performance or why it was ever floated at such an over-inflated price to start with..... other than to sucker PI's!
Lmfa!
This stock has been unfairly beaten up, so I've added on today's share price weakness.
And what a day for it - just as Putin goes 'full tonto' with Ukraine.
I'll refrain from commenting on the politics, but as to the update I believe VIC are doing the right thing by absorbing some of the cost rises and protecting hard-pressed customers, even at the expense of a short-term hit to margins. Long-term this will be fine.
Who know's what's going on, was it the float price was too high to start with and the city think about the £1 mark is more correct. Or maybe it's something to do with the CEO having 46% shareholding and that means theres never going to be any takeover offer and the stocks too stable.
This must be worth £1.25 at least.
I would really love if someone could explain to me why VIC is trading at these levels. The fish you get out the chip shop takes less of a battering than this stock. I just don't get it.
The revenues are up impressively and consistently every year, liabilities are in check, margin is healthy, PE is very fair, Price to cash flow is great, it's in a sector where demand isn't going to waiver and pricing power is good and to top it all off, the CEO is loading up like there's no tomorrow.
Honestly, what gives? should I have my brain examined by a specialist or is this not a screaming buy at this price?
Cheers.
Would be worth buying these if the spread would come down more.
I guess Mark Radcliffe is expecting a very very large Divi payment for his 46% holding . !!!!!
£19.7m v £289m mcap, with over £30m free cash flow.
Me too. Thought I'd picked up a bargain at 98p lol! I still think it'll come good with time, but it would've been helpful to get in 15% lower.
Thought i'd got real bargain with this share but down almost 25% in a month. Turning into a bit of a dog... fingers crossed a reversal is on the cards?
* I should say reputed to be doing over at THG
Radcliffe was handsomely rewarded by way of an overpriced IPO. He's not going to take it private again within months using a fraction of the money he's received. That would look well dodgy.
On the other hand, better not to be too definitive as this little wheeze is pretty similar to what Mr M. Moulding is doing over at THG, the only difference being that Moulding needs PE money to bankroll it.
It's a mad, bad world out there...
Trend reversal?
I have been following these for a while now and don't really understand what's going on with Mark Radcliffe. He now ownes some 46% of vic and does he intend to buy the rest and take it private in which case he could buy the rest for probably £1, or does he just want to be the biggest shareholder with control and let the SP go much higher. I am temped to buy now and see what happens but what's the point if Mark buys it all for £1. any views?
That post didn’t wear well!
Back in at 93.4p.
Happy with that.
Very.
BOO, MADE, JOUL, STU...... on it goes... We could do with a change of sentiment, or luck, or something!
You and me both mate, THG, Ocado ASOS you name it, getting walloped on the lot of them. Painfull :-(
Can't quite believe the extent to which online retailers are getting walloped atm - down 50-80% in a year would be a typical performance for many. Sadly, I'm in a number of them, lol.
106,500 buy @ 103.0
Directors buying again?
it's going the opposite way!
Hope this raises above 120 tomorrow.
yep thinking this has bottomed and HTH with a sub £1 average cost. Hoping for 140-170p the level it was at less than a month ago would be first target.
110-116p?
Tried it a few times now... bought at 99p sold at £1.17.... bought back at £1.09 sold at £1.13....... then bought back at £1.07... still holding coz its £1.05...... I have a lot more shares than I started with... but timing not great for the last punt.... its fun though.....B
