That's what I'm holding on to ohs. Surely they are holding in the hope/belief the sp will be much higher before long.
Does anyone else think it might be Serendipequity?
I honestly can't think what the CEO does Mon - Fri 9 - 5 for his salary? It's always bugged me that the Company is UK registered, trades on the LSE, has a warehouse in Italy and has it's CEO in Thailand. Has there ever been any benefit to RR living there and working on behalf of the company? If VDTK were selling hundreds and thousands of panels there then fine but I don't know of any business happening in that part of the world. More's the pity.
Whoever it is Roger, if they're still holding they're also at a loss considering the subscription was @ 0.45p per share!
Sorry, that's a contradiction! Shares can't be forward sold AND be being held by Peel Hunt.
Peel Hunt have them tucked away for someone. Question is who and what are their plans for VDTK. We're more likely to hear from them than we are the actual Company.
Unless who ever it was that took that 20% forward sold all their shares.
If it was Serendipequity who loaned the £500k then they can sit pretty knowing they'll make tons as and when the jv is formalised. Peel Hunt may have millions of shares but it's clear they're not dumping any. The handful of sells are imv most likely disgruntled pis.
Unless sales are going supa-dupa the future is looking really bleak. Company has got a good product so it is worth something. You would think that Rooftile Group and Lindab will buy this company as a joint venture but at what price is any ones guess. Even if sales are moderate you would think the company has a value of more than 2M even with the debt. The person who took a 20% stake must be feeling gloomy at the moment.
And just when you think things can’t get any worse with this share…. How low does this drop before it’s wound up?
If vdtk products are being sold then the BODs are curiously keen to remain very quiet about any progress on that front. Or any other for that matter. Product development? Discussions on MOU? Nothing. Utterly disastrous investment and the worst company comms of any out there on AIM - and believe me there’s a lot of stiff competition in that regard.
3 months to the day. Not a word from the company.
Er 'positive' might not be quite the word I'd use to describe how I feel about VDTK...
Roger, your sounding a tad more positive about this share now :)
Nearly 3 months since the MOU with NZV (Aug 15th).
Hope we are due an update soon. As a trading stock it's ground to a halt so all those holding stock are simply waiting for news on this one issue. Peel Hunt don't seem to be offloading any either. One whiff of good news and this will double in quick time.
Ah no, actually I hadn't seen that! How did I miss it?! Sorry.
I'm still curious for obvs reasons though as to who put the funds up. Am hoping it's Serendipequity or is that just too unlikely?
Peel Hunt are the current holder of the shares until otherwise stated. I honestly don't know why it is bothering you so much? Until a TR1 is issued saying they have been moved to another holder or Peel have reduced their % holding through a TR1 reporting threshold, I just don't see why it needs to be mentioned on here so often?
Roger, it seems that nearly every time I check in on this BB you are talking about there being no TR1 for the £500,000 raise they did in September. Surely you've seen the Peel Hunt LLP TR1 for a 16.131% holding?? If so, what else are you expecting here?
Shame the VDTK website isn't ever forthcoming on such projects. One has to be a bit of a detective to find out anything of any interest here.
I wonder how discussions are progressing with NZV..? Been two and a half months since we were told about it. I do hope it's going to be a formal agreement very soon. I would dearly like to see Verditek's outlook transformed.
Another installation by Metrotile at Besford village hall. Only small but they all count.
Still nothing on this which makes me think much of the £500k that recently came in funding was either forward sold - although I just don’t think there was anything like that volume over those two or three months in the summer to cover it - or is being held by a broker (Peel Hunt) on behalf of someone who for some reason either won’t or doesn’t need to declare a TR1 eg are they from abroad?
In my mind the most obvious candidate is SerendipEquity who want to build a stake in VDTK. This would imho be a good thing no? Makes the notion of a JV more likely.
Willetts said the JV could ‘transform the outlook’ for VDTK.
I hope I’m on the right track and that things are bubbling away under the surface.
"The transition to clean energy is happening worldwide and it's unstoppable. It's not a question of 'if', it's just a matter of 'how soon' - and the sooner the better for all of us," said International Energy Agency (IEA) Executive Director Fatih Birol.
We need the uk govt to support companies like vdtk to help this transition. We have the technology and a chance to generate income for a UK company from abroad and indeed globally. The UK govt is, as usual, missing a trick by being far too slow to adapt to business opportunities such as this. Too much red tape and intransigence from the people who should be showing the greatest urgency on this issue on behalf of the rest of us normal folk.
When dealing with roof tiles there is always a time delay as the walls have to be built before the roof goes on. Metrotile are UK based and other installations will be ongoing. Rooftile group have a much larger reach so it is reasonable to say that multiple installations are going ahead in Europe. I for one am happy with the news and feel a lot more confident in the future of this company. Sales are everything, Metrotile and Rooftile group are beginning to deliver. Hopefully Lindab are doing the same.
Ages ago a female poster left a msg here saying the company don’t put out anything other than essential comms because Tom Winnifrith and his crew dissed anything the CEO said and were repeatedly right about how badly the company was run.
Seems to me they just have very little to say or that things are actually much closer to the wire than they would like us to believe (if you can imagine such a thing!). I don’t think anyone has posted the website for months, possibly years and that makes it horribly obvious that money is being thrown at directors’ salaries and bugger all on basics or, perish the thought, keeping share holders informed and up to date.
What gets me about this company is the lack of news. I have just been on the Metrotile website and they have announced their first solar tile installation in the UK which is the Fair isle bird observatory. The fact that Metrotile are up and running with a 100 panel installation is great news. Why do you have to be Sherlock Holmes to find out about it.
1p? 1p??
Right now that would be like manna from heaven twink99. If only a couple of my other stocks could do well I'd be tempted to lower my average even further here if the company put out any positive comms. Slightly forlorn hope however.
If the VDTK technology in these light weight solar panels being incorprated into rook tiles is so good I'm slightly surprised that none of the competition out there, of which there is plenty in this sector, isn't snapping the company up for peanuts. I guess that's where the Directors holding a major % of the shares is a good thing, as they wouldn't let that happen unless things were really about to go belly up or let it go for anything other than a reasonable price.
Roger the company has enough money to survive until the EU starts handing out large amounts of cash in green energy subsidies to compete with the USA. Being the EU things work very slowly, but an announcement is due soon. Also good news that Germany intends to go 80% renewable. Even with good news it is hard to see any rally in the share price going much past 1p.
So much for the MOU RNS in which it was stated this could ‘transform’ the outlook for Verditek. The chairman was absolutely right . Since then the share price has dropped by over 60% and the outlook has indeed been transformed from fairly weak but could’ve ok to absolutely dire and existential. When does the company go bust? End of the year? Not enough revenue from current sales to fund the hefty Director salaries and surely they won’t be able to persuade anyone else to give them cash when they’re performing quite so badly..?
Well the good news today so far is that you are not going to be trampled to death in the rush to buy shares.
Share buys are even smaller though. Nout to be done but take a deep breath and hope for the best. I'd be delighted if there were some Director buys out of the blue but the Directors already have a huge number of shares here.
