I watched this share for a while before investing. I tried to mitigate as many of the 'risks' and got in just as the new equipment was being commissioned. I had hoped that the JORC would follow quickly after, and before the first offtake sales. The bridge failure came out of left field for me and I doubt any investor could have seen that coming. I am now expecting a good run of news before winter sets in and slows things down. Feeling more positive of late. GLA
morning all.................. I do not expect things to slow down during the winter as I recall AP stating that being an underground mine means they will not be affected by weather..... apart from the miners of course as they have to be able to get to work.......... looking good. I did have the AP pinky promise that the JORC is still on schedule for October, so that will mean less than 6 or 7 more sleeps ........ lets hope we can hang on to 20 today, good springboard for the news........ B
Yrabsmurruc agree, this is different its underground..
Not wishing to appear negative but the railway tracks are outside. It is the distribution network that is usually the first to fail in bad weather. Lets hope for a mild winter and no excuses from the Board.
Stu, you are correct, however VAST have better prospects than above ground mines that have to close.... so not even Andrew controls the weather, but he can do his best to keep the distribution lines open and I am unsure if Romania has very cold winters or not, but Andrew as CEO has responsibility to plan and mitigate... oh gawd, I dont believe I just presumed AP plans and mitigates........... time for a lie down. B
looks like another good volume day......200M in the first hour............ nice. B
Good shout yrabmurruc, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. As Sarahlamb pointed out we can't afford any unnecessary delays. I suspect we have a fantastic resource here but it is no good if there are constant delays getting it to market. No wriggle room for the Board from me I am afraid. Lets get this done!!
Stu, you did get me thinking, so I asked my friend Mr Google about the weather...... this is what he told me:
In the coldest months of winter (December and January) the average temperatures are between 3°C and -15°C. During winter the sky is often cloudy and snowfall is quite common. In the plains of Romania there are about thirty days with snowfall per year.Winters are quite cold, with average highs even in lower-lying areas being no more than 3 °C (37.4 °F) and below -15 °C (5 °F) in the highest mountains.
So Andrew if you are watching, please buy one of those machines that keeps the snow and ice of the tracks.........or should I assume he already has one of those in the garage. B
Yrabs, don't forget that Baita Plai is in the Apuseni mountains, on the edge of the national park, it's at or below freezing for three/four months if the year - however, compared to this country, I'm sure it will be better mitigated as it's a regular occurrence

I wonder how many posts throbbie will have removed before they finally ban him :)
Stroooong price action here, JORC could blow the roof off of this , first sales is a landmark event, and diamond mine joint venture is a complete curve ball that could drop any day
Anyusername - Calling himself Rotten should have been a giveaway for admin at the registration process...
Usual claims of only here for your own good are just a cover for his disruptive behaviour - seen too many of these characters on here over the years - its what the filter button was created for...
If he does own any shares they are so far under water and has left him full of hatred and bitterness towards everything Vast related...
Ignore the Rotten one...
