#UJO ChristineTaylor5 on @UnionJackOilplc LSE comments on dividends:
'Anything over 0.2 will be money waster imo, when it could be spent on another well.'
Is she thick or something when the board earn £500k/year an share price still down on last year's price at AGM ?! 😂🙈
Agree with Christine 0.2. 38.5%
I want 0.6 or higher. 61.5%

At the same time I bet😂
You're bound to win, sadly I don't have access to family accounts to fiddle the vote.
" Oh, give me a Roger-ing "
Is that another rabbit?
0.6 or higher only way any long term holder will see any return, need two more wells or wn which is unlikely to see 30p plus.
This will easily break 30p in the next few months, of thatI have no doubt.
Hence "polls" not polls. Purely delusional.
CT5, I favour higher divi, but agree that neither buyback nor divi should be at the expense of profitable development.
Milnrow, there's no doubt in my mind that a little divi is a good sign for both the UK & the US market. But now and then when there's some spare cash is no encouragement to invest imo. Dividend payments tend to favour large shareholders who can appreciate a few thousand pounds. To the average small shareholder it is literally beer money and in all honesty every penny increase in my shareholding would be a case of brandy and more. So for me, establishing oil production, solid revenue streams and a much greater share price on the back of these is a far better option than coughing up cash right now when that money could drill the next US well. Demanding 0.06 to a penny right now is ludicrous and as Grey Panther said, unheard of from a company with such a small market cap. For all the good it will do me, I will be more than happy with .02 and see an RNS confirming the Andrews-3 well 😂. Union Jack has made a strategic move away from all the restrictions and liabilities the UK has imposed and it needs to build a strong presence. The Yanks will like the fact the company is paying a few divi's. Right now it is a babe-in-arms with it's US strategy, let's see that strengthened and supported before we give the operational cash away.
I appreciate a few thousand pounds! You never know it might buy some more shares, or at least reward for indeed investing more than a few thousand pounds, rather than making a lot more in a savings account. Trust me you wouldn’t want me to sell; although I have no doubt there are those whose game that is.
Heid is relentless about her family being upset. The minute they, if they exist, get.06 they will sell and be gone. This is why I would prefer to see regular decent dividends, not intermittent payments with shareholders not knowing when the next one will be. This can only he achieved if the company have multiple producing assets and are not a one trick pony with just Wressle to pay the bills. If Wressle stops for any reason, revenues dry up and the company cannot make resolutions to pay a regular dividend off the back of one asset, with 3/4/5 or more producing wells in Oklahoma, twice yearly, decent dividends would be more likely imo.
Just curious - how would shareholders feel if UJO paid a scrip dividend using shares held in Treasury?
Would it be any more beneficial to just getting the cash and buying more, rather than increasing the shares in issue again itsawrap?
I dont think it would make a lot of difference for shareholders (not sure about the tax implications), however it would allow the company to keep the cash for other things eg the US. the downside would be more shares in circulation but with UJO on an upwards trajectory, I doubt a couple of million extra shares is a big deal
I could live with that
