Killing off the small companies comprising the UK OIL and GAS industry.
Dear Minister,
Not all oil exploration is done by BP or Shell and the major producers. You will be aware of this by your former pre-MP career in investment banking. The current tax burden is 'Killing off the UK oil and gas industry' particularly the minnows in the industry.
The small companies are being sacrificed for political dogma. Politicians appear to support the IMPORT of OIL and GAS from abroad by supporting a punitive UK tax; the impact of which is to suck money from the smaller UK companies' balance sheets. In the current climate the small UK Oil and Gas industry cannot survive much longer by rights issues and failed farm out attempts. Anyone brave enough to invest in any of the smaller UK companies needs to understand that the risk of losing their investment is very high. Union Jack Oil plc has decided to invest their well earned cash, derived from a successful UK oil field, in the USA rather than in developing potential UK oil prospects.
CHAT (Full name supplied to the Minister).
Email the Energy Minister, who can be found as follows. Claire.coutinho.mp@parliament.uk - It may not do much good but sometimes it can make the MPs think about UK OIL and GAS. So I'll start a campaign.
Let us call it 'Killing off the UK oil and gas industry' The theme being that not all oil exploration is done by BP or Shell.

I agree and with the German operation to the future looks promising.
Hopefully we can put a choke on domestic operations until our government wake up and realise they are morons!
FYI Pboo. Here you can learn all you need to get a job as a geologist by this evening 😂
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y29a6YLnUO4
I taught myself
You can read seismic now Heid?
When did you learn to do that?
I read the seismics an it is clear they hit the target.
All is on the way up no stopping the oil now of course we can get the odd duster but one in three is a winner every time.
Its a go USA and the first one a winner to start with. What more can a investor ask for Steady home production and monies to make it big in the USA rather than filter it away in the UK with taxes Nimby's Greenies and the Odd balls you get here doom and Gloom Brigade. Into the USA Up Up And Away.
Pboo, you keep focusing on tje depth they stopped at., but further to the completion David declared it a major success. He could not and would not make such a statement if they stopped due to any problems. He wouldn't get ot past the nomad. A 'major success' is not suggestive of stopping drilling due to issues, to me it's a declaration that they either hit the target earlier or made an unexpected discovery.

How can it be a major success when testing is still on going. When and if they release an RNS informing the market that substantial oil is flowing, then you can call it a major success
The actual drilling of the well might have been a major success but there is doubt in that, as they stopped 600ft short of the announced target depth.
Pboo already has so much egg on his face you could chuck him in the frying pan and make an omelette, the cheek to mention Turkey after telling everyone how good it was looking only for it to be a total failure.
Agreed, but the sentiment I have seen by people who are not just about slatingntje c0mpany continuously suggests a belief that this well will come in. A predicted 75% pre-drill, everything seemingly going to plan, if Imwere a betting girl I would bet on success rather than failure x
CT , its only a success when flow rates are established
Pboo, the Andrews well has already been declared a major success, the only person getting egg on their face will be you with that comment, allmthe positivity comong from the company on X is a strong enough indicator for me that all is good and that is good enough for me.

You are going to have egg all over your face if the Andrews-1 well does not come in and a big loss on your share holding.
UKOG went to a certainty in Turkey and look where that got them.
Good point Kawasaki .. I think the only hope if Labour gains power is with the Unions - they are already putting pressure on Starmer / Miliband etc. to ‘get real’ and reverse or at least temper some of their anti-oil & gas policies. Particularly in respect of job losses, Aberdeen, energy security - I’m not sure it’ll make a difference, but the Unions are up for a fight, there’s a lot of politics at play.
Kawasaki, I think i misinterpreted your post. Sorry 😬
Kawasaki, I believe the move into the US was on the back of the situation evolving in the UK. THAT is where they will get the revenue from and I do think present operations in the UK will continue, just no new ones.
Without the oil and gas industry which the government is claiming millions from in taxes. When all this is phased out in the uk where will they get all this revenue from.
I bought another little bundle today, so confident for 2024.

Who thinks the Andrews1 well will be a commercial discovery and produce the expected 150 bopd? Production testing must be nearly complete and an RNS due soon. We could get news on the gas being produced too as the gas recovered to surface will be sold into the local network. Can't wait to hear what's going to be revealed from this first well in the US 💪
Is from you Funstar. You contribute nothing but uour silly comments that I am someone else. It wouldn't matter if I was Warren Buffer posting here, I am invested, I declared my trade last week, just because I am confident in my investment and say as much does not make a ramper. A trader ramps, I won't trade this, I believe in the management and the assets, simples. Please just go away and leave me alone.
Maybe?
