Yes, oil and gas prices are clearly due a small pullback, however 100USD per barrel is here for winter, so UJO assets are going to be fetching great prices in the near term and probably beyond.
The crunch is a Brexit led recession coupled with high energy bills... that spells trouble ahead in the longer term IMO as economies slow down. On the plus side... oil price likely to stay high as other nations avoid the damage of Brexit.
Oil prices mean nothing if sentiment surrounding oil and gas is negative which it currently is. Institutional investors are likely under pressure to give these stocks a wide berth. Hope not as I have a large UJO holding and maybe going into winter months will see a reversal.
II's wouldn't touch this company until the commerciality of the assets are proven up. To much risk for an institution to plough money into
Royob, of course investors are (in- & direct) customers for petroleum; how could it be other? Holders in supermarkets consume food! I don't pick up the relevance of this.
Funstar48
Er, have you done any research?
Nearly 50% of the company is held by institutional investors.
Hhmmm?
Mitenator
Er, have you done any research?
What evidence have you used to base the claim the investment sentiment is low in gas and oil?
Oil companies form the cornerstone of most ETFs for passive income.
What makes you think winter will affect the SP of UJO?
Royoboy.
Good afternoon to you?
Why do you want to transition from oil and gas to clinical trials?
no its not
“Nearly 50% of the company is held by institutional investors.”
Nonsense, those are brokers nominee accounts not insti investors….
“What evidence have you used to base the claim the investment sentiment is low in gas and oil?“

@mf2017
any word back yet or are you failing again today?
Ok RNStrans,
Your links. Did you actually read them? Or justcwyick Google and that will sort of do?
Both are if you a green Investor... If you want to make green investments.
Your second link is about oil and gas companies being asked by some funds about how they will meet net zero. If there is still an economy to trade in if we do reach net zero
I appreciate the links though in that you responded with something. But the links do not credibly substantiate the claim.
Try again?
Hi flat.
No word yet. But is that failure on my part?
Thanks for the shout out.
RNS trans,
Can you explain your definition of institutional investors please? And how it differs from stock software companies like simply wall Street.
So, as it stands 46% of the company is held by institutional investors.
Andy Dufresne wrote a letter a week, by the time he got what he want he realised he should have wrote twice a week.@mf2017
maybe your letter was not compelling enough, w=maybe you actually didnt send one..? you took up the challenge of your own free will now your failing dont go blaming anyone else.
flat...what you on about?
I am not blaming anyone. I am patiently waiting for a reply. When I get one, I'll share it with you.
"Can you explain your definition of institutional investors please?"
An insti investor such as Fidelity or L&G will have individual funds which have invested in the company. The fund manager has sole discretion as to whether to buy/sell and vote the shares, as well as having to abide by the investment criteria of the fund wrt concentration and marketability/liquidity. An individual investor in that fund cannot control a specific investment, they buy or sell the fund.
Behind nominee accounts are 10's if not hundreds of individual trading accounts owned by individuals who manage their investment as individuals and are the owners of a proportion of those shares in the nominee account.
My shares are held by Hargreaves Lansdown , effectively a broker , so for example 100s or thousands may have Union Jack Oil shares , these are all added together making a nominee account , so they COULD show holding 10% of UJO , they vote in mass at AGMs & EGMS what they feel. If you want to vote personally I E mail and they will forward my vote .
I am patiently waiting for a reply.@mf2017
i guess then you will not get one ifyou dont have the conviction to hound them because they are not going to respond willingly
and the Andy Dufresne wrote a letter a week" ref: Shawshank Redemption flim

You make a case. I will send a second email. We are working as a team.
