In 2023, the United Kingdom’s primary export destinations for crude oil were:
• Netherlands: Approximately 11.7 million metric tons. This figure includes oil for transshipment or in transit to other destinations, such as Belgium and Germany.
• Germany: 2.55 million metric tons.
• Poland: 2.36 million metric tons.
• Sweden: 1.6 million metric tons.
• China: 1.19 million metric tons.
Other notable destinations included South Korea, Finland, France, Italy, and the United States. 
In terms of value, crude petroleum was among the UK’s top exports, amounting to $26.3 billion. 
These figures highlight the UK’s significant role in the global crude oil market, with European countries being the primary recipients of its exports.
