OK, thanks disruptor.
I research companies quite a lot before buying in, and I originally though 2.8 was a fairish price considering its momentum, and exciting new projects.
I think this is a great company, hence I won't sell, well until something unexpected happens like the deal falls through or something..
Im just cursing my luck that I bought in at a premium, but I'm confident it will get back at least within the next month or so.
Excuse my constant steam of qsz its just that even with an aim stock haven't been on such a large loss so quickly before
Max - I’m more of an anti-ramper than a deramper. In particular I object to posts/posters on BB’s who are clearly looking to influence rather than to discuss. There have been plenty of those in the last few days, exhorting newbies to follow their bidding.
As I said, I added to my holding last week as I thought we were off to the races. But I did so in (for me) rather a hasty way. It doesn’t look like a good trade given what has happened since. I suspect that what we’ve seen in the last few days has just been a simple AIM spike and we may have further to fall as ST traders who bought on price action and BB hype are rinsed through. Volumes on the 3 days with big rises last week were 10x those of the preceding period, with close to 1/3rd the company’s shares traded. So I suspect we have a lot of new PI’s on board with averages close to 2p. They are the ones who I suggested should watch out below.
I’m in for the ride and waiting to see what news the company shares during the coming months.
Rees,
You have been given enough answers and information to be informed about the potential about the company and where it is going.
If you do not feel happy with your investment you need to take your money out. Not in a horrible way but you need to be certain you are doing the right thing and right now it comes across like you don't understand the fundamentals before investing.
No one can help you on this other than yourself. If you have read over the company presentations and the RNS' and are not satisfied that there is growth left here, then you have found your answer.
That just makes me feel like I'm late to the party and wonder how more growth can occur after an already 10 fold increase
Guys, I hope I'm wronf
Reese ggp dec 2018 i bought around 2.2 or 2.3 then it dropped to 1.5 p or less now look at it around 23p.
Nothing has changed aoart frm the so, temporarily. This is the beginning of great things
Also just a thought, in the interview last Wednesday, Bill said the samples from Hamersley were currently in a lab in Perth.
He said, "Visually they were very encouraged by them and believe them to be of high Iron content".
Also in the Company update RNS from last Friday it stated:
"Initial interpretations are excellent with indications of the presence of a larger amount of the mineralised Brockman Iron Formation than originally thought."
Could it be possible that the lab in Perth leaked the results?
Could it be possible that as Bill said in the interview, "As work develops, as we get new results in, we are always looking for partners" that someone like Rio Tinto who is just next door to Alien's tenement is looking to become a new partner?
Only time will tell! But to me, as per the Company Update RNS, it looks extremely promising indeed!
Probability of this falling tommorow.
I strongly belive in this company, but there is the point a loss becomes too much, and the wife takes the stick out.
10% down - Meagre inconvenience, recoverable fairly easily within a few days on aim
20% down - A bit hot under the collar, frantically reminding myself to sit on my hands as I recap my thought process about why I bought.
30% down - Panicking majorly now, checking market sentiment and whether the CEO just died or smthing, searching for any stimulus that might support it short term
40% down - well, let's not get to that, u get the exponential trend.
Currently speaking from 2.86, suffering just more than 30% drop.
I don't know what I will do with myself if I see a 40%-50% drop tommorow (8-12%)
To recover losses after a 50 % drop the sp HAS TO Double,
Max you shoukd have seen it at ggp one afternoon. Now people do top slice but the tend yo do it and not tell as they do it, but any way it all started but overly to many top slicing saying his they lost out in other shares. That it was gona crash, i was ****ed wt a hotel and i was relentless at pointing it out. God i got some ****. Then after house 1 million pound buy came in around the 12p mark frm memory., absolutely huge buy . I warned them. You can see it a mile off sometimes. Here they get trampled on at the moment. But makes the day more interesting in these strange times
Welcome Dave and and hope the spacesuit fits and enjoy the out space experience
Some great posts here tonight, I'm new with ufo.
I'm really glad that the obvious shorters and derampers are being highlighted.
Keep up the good work this company has a great future and I want to be a part of it.
All the best
My conclusion to this thread would be in Nap famous words:
"THEY WANT YOUR SHARES!!
Dam right Nap.
And I thought investing was all about buying the rumour and selling the fact.
Why would the Delayed LRGS Trades be sales before the game changing facts that are about to come into effect?
Especially, since we would have known by now if the deal wasn't going through.
Bill was extremely optimistic about it in the interview lust last Wednesday:
https://www.share-talk.com/bill-brodie-good-chief-executive-officer-of-alien-metals-ufo-l-interview/#gs.jarjs1
As Shouston says:
"But I agree nobody wants to look foolish at the end of this week.
Including the company and its management.
Chin- chin."
Good on you, Max.
At worst we’ll have another day of derampers doing their thing, then you can have a day off and watch the share price do the talking ;)
Neilmc i confirm ive seen this go on over at ggp and it held back like this and then boom it took off. Its holding well still around 800%! Rise from the .2 july days so all good in the hood.
Go on Max :) all in black and white. They clearly want a lower entry point due to selling to early, if they were ever invested at all. I can smell the ink drying on the JV. GLA
Hi theyknowitall,
I just find all the skulduggery and underhandedness going on this board in order to rob people of their shares disgraceful.
At the moment, I am just interested in learning as much as I can, so they we can help give Bill all the support he needs to push ahead.
Mojo said it best:
"The deal is not only about the monetary effect but it also shows that management can make deals and get results , a glimmer into the future. A taste of what's to come as projects grow and become bigger."
Max, take a night off you have been busy in here all day lol
Top work
what sort of work do you do / at home ?
*Hamersley Assay results due end of the month.
Hi StarBright,
I find you very intriguing. You are very active on the other chat boards of other companies but have never posted on UFO and yet say, "I’ve held a position here for a while. "
Then you say, "I added 20% to my holding late last week" but then say, "But those who bought on price action last week should watch out below."
Do you see where I'm going with this?
New poster & de-ramping = BUY MODE!
You also say that long-term holders will be thrilled to be getting out anywhere over 1p.
But if you actually listen to Bill's recent interview, he states:
"As work develops, as we get new results in, we are always looking for partners to come and join us and help us support us, or we keep driving forward with great investors behind us."
I would suggest the contrary to your beliefs. Long-term holders strongly support the new management and especially Bill.
With his 25 years experience in mineral exploration, he has transformed the company completely.
And as he said, "As work develops, as we get new results in, we are always looking for partners."
As you well know the Capstone Mining Completion is due on this Friday and Hamersley Assay results due end of week. Think about it & GL.
I can confirm that I topped up on another mining stock yesterday and it went through as a sell as I was watching my order on l2, so personally the whole system is only a guide and caution should be used. Common sense Wins all the time. I mean do derampers honestly think this will just sit @2p I mean come on gents wake the f up
I’ve held a position here for a while, mainly on the basis that the company has a few interesting opportunities in a sector that will enjoy tailwinds at some point. I added 20% to my holding late last week when the price was roughly where it closed today. I suspect that wasn’t a great decision as the last few days have all the characteristics of a common or garden AIM spike. Some of the ramping over the last week or so has been frankly embarrassing, with todays cacophony of “all sells are buys” etc a case in point. The more logical explanation for the LIS trades is grateful LT holders unloading their bottom drawers into the spike. Some of them will be thrilled to be getting anywhere over 1p having had their heads held underwater for a few years....
I will - of course - be delighted to be proved wrong when the promised flurry of TR1’s arrives late this week. But in all honesty it’s not that likely is it?
For holders from before the spike I think the truth is that little has changed, and the rationale for holding on is still in place. But those who bought on price action last week should watch out below.
TBH with all the off book trades we don't really know the volume of buying and selling going on. Maybe some of the warrant holders that had already exercised sold some into the rally, maybe the placement brokers sold some of their shares, maybe the three large holders as per the company website reduced or added further . There may be new buyers to be announced over the 3% limit. I'm sure we will see more warrants exercised but we saw that in GGP on the way up. And even if some are exercised, it doesn't mean those shares will be sold anytime soon . I'm happy either way having sold some shares sub 2p over the last few weeks on the spike . If we get a further retracement, I will buy some back. If not I'm a happy holder.
Max, I totally agree
Up , down, consolidate, boom lol
