Strange one.Wife normally re-invests but has switched to cash from now onwards.
In total £1020 dividend.£49 paid in to Santander last night but the other £971 is showing as due on equiniti but not paid in to Santander.Assume it will be a cheque.Has anyone else experience of this. Thanks in advance if so
BArclays usually credit around 3pm
I used to reinvest dividends but very quickly decided to use the funds to invest in other businesses to spread the risk. I don't need the money so have never taken in £s out to enjoy.
just checked my Barclays ISA account and the Divi payment is not in there!!!!!
thought it would be in after midnight or is it a middle of the day thing?????
Price should go up today to sting the dividend reinvestment brigade.
does not hold up.... sinks back to 222p, and today lower, was only just making 232 an i thought, c'mon, another 3p+ and i'll be happy..... days of one drop after another. gut feeling is last day tomorrow and recoup losses playing shares elsewhere.
been a waste of 6 weeks tbh.
nice though if people have traded this from lows back to 232 days then out and back etc,
well done there if you have.
GLA
Tends to go in at the end of the day with Halifax
Thank you
Yes if you have provided bank detail, if not expect a cheque idc. JJ
Just a heads up. I hear that the first of thirty is due to go live shortly. A slight delay due to getting the engineers on site during the pandemic. More throughput, wider geographical coverage and at lower cost.
Apologies but can i ask for some guidance. My wife is due to receive the dividend this week in cash rather than shares for the first time. Can i ask is the money paid in to her account on the 3rd.Thanks in advance
Any Dividend we get , will be for us , reinvested . Have held shares from the time we could buy Save as you earn @ £1.07 per share .Have always reinvested through good and bad times . Best advice we ever got from our advisor .
Seen them go up and down , but over time we are doing very nicely .
May temporarily send the price up as people reinvest their Dividends?
No. SP will be adjusted on ex-dividend date, not payment date.
Will this week's dividend pay out bring the share price down?
Morning all
Fingers crossed all the trillions of liquidity pumped into the economy's worldwide. Some of it will find its way here and push the sp up to the 240s this week.
Price moving in right direction after this mornings little wobble....
tbh i thought we were going back towards the 222 area.....
235 for me is where i'll be happy, then towards 240 is a bonus.
Hopefully now all the covid impacts are out we will move up as this share now really is a safe bet dotcom moves to liners in trays in the next few weeks so dotcom should be back to making a tiny profit again in simple terms speeds up dotcom pickers and saves payroll.
Sorry yes :-)
230-240 you mean
Hello Folks
Reduction in Vat in Scotland, no doubt soon to be announced in England.
Will that be enough to push the sp into the 130-140 and keep it there.
or the usual up 3 to 5 and back down again...:-)
In my view we can get real insight from the insiders and I thank you for it. I suppose my request (feel free to ignore it as its your board as much as mine) is to ensure that the comments such as about the poor manager link to the prospects of the share. Are you saying they are all poor or is a managers desire or not to do night shift of relevance.
I wish you good luck in investing and in employment - the two arent always aligned and this is an investing board. Indeed and Glass doors both have space for the other employee stuff should you feel the desire to give it a strong vent.
Wishing you all well and hoping for 235!

until this post - lol

At no point in any of my posts have I alluded to being a store manager.
I see maths is not your strong point, reading an RNS also , Tesco has stated they will be returning £5 billion to shareholders via a special dividend now there is almost 10 billion shares in issue so simple maths £1 a share dividend is £10 billion so 50p a share is £5 billion “ simples” for someone who has been invested in here for over 25 years and with well over 70k of shares just sold I find it quite odd your not that well informed as I would be picking through results , debt pile and liabilities with a tooth pick ! Obviously if we buy and sell shares it’s entirely are own decisions. You’ll find diamonds and you ll get dogs, good luck with hemo.
Now pensioners and the deficit now yes the poor sods ( I say poor the old Tescos pensioners our on good old final Salary Pensions enjoyed the long lost perks of old plus they didn’t have to borrow 5 times their salary to get on the housing ladder maybe lucky is the word)they need to get paid for there hard work in the past, but if we go back to the past when the pension deficit was bigger and they kept on paying out dividends of up to £1.4 billion at one point , I remember them increasing the dividend while the deficit ballooned like labour not fixing the roof they should have fixed this in the past. Then we may have gotten 80p a share ! :-)
Youngsters don’t seem to be interested in buy as you earn or save as you earn These days can’t afford it is usually the answer I say cut back 1 pint a week, I’ve tried to preach to them the benefit of tucking just £15 a month away but to no avail so the private investor percentage will start to shrink.
Finally yes the confidential hot line last time I rung 6 times over two days no answer
Hence I had to out myself and put one in ! Still I get left alone now ! But no problems at my old store, only since I’ve been at this one has my folder ballooned,
Tell me rosewall as a store manager I believe you allude us to Can I ask how many times a year should a store manager work a week of nights,
Ps news flash he did stay to 130 Am the other night , shocked was an understatement maybe his ears was ringing he he he.
