Not sure what on earth you’re talking about. I posted trading update and have not mentioned anything about vaccines. You’re obviously getting your threads mixed up! As for the other company, well I’ll leave others to make up their minds on that one. I would hardly say the Tsco SP performance of late is not good considering it’s gone from 220 to 280p in the past few months and brokers are upping their targets!
Not exactly answering the question are you?
As for checking facts, perhaps you should, I made no comment in the vaccine chain.
Zzzzzzzzz go rant at someone else who gives a flying fig about your comments. Zzzzzzzzz. You guys brought the other company into the conversation Not me! Check your facts before engaging your keyboard!
moniman
Tactics ?
What on earth are you talking about ?
I am talking about Tesco & a news article I read yesterday, Millcottage finds something similar on Motley Fool's page & we are discussing the poor SP performance atm, which to most of us I guess means much more than rants about space travel.
If you want to rubbish Amazon why not do it on an Amazon board ?
We are on the TSCO board here & in between people moaning about vaccines & you ranting about activities in outer space don't you think that maybe you are missing the point ?
Great tactics, but the negative threads won’t have any impact on Tesco’s trading or SP. As for our friendly American online retailer, just keep on trashing the planet by sending celebrities into space on an unsustainable earth damaging pipe dream! So much for rich billionaires leading by example? What a terrible example to set!
@barchid - That makes sense and this article I just found reflects what you say.
99.9999% of people don’t care what Amazon does in space , they shop for cheapest prices.
Amazon makes most of its profits from AWS however , but they can certainly work on thin margins and hurt the big four in the uk.

No
Kantar 27.6 % nielsen 26.6% big difference ???
moniman
So you don't think that if Amazon (& it is an if) start growing their cashierfree grocery stores it won't put a pressure on existing margins ?
I’m not sure sending people 60 miles into ‘space’ using loads of resources and at a cost of $billions is a good advert for a certain American company especially when the world is burning up! I think I’ll stick with Tesco, the lesser of two evils!
Millcottage
A fair point but could it possibly be anything to do with the post I made yesterday re City a.m. story on Amazon & its ambitions ?
What looked like positive news for Tesco , yet shares are down by 3.5p as I wrote and also Sainsbury’s taking a hit also.
Thanx for that
No, it normally drops when it goes ex-dividend. On payment day & the couple of days after if anything, & barring other issues, it will rise because holders are reinvesting the dividend.
Hi does the share price normally drop on dividend payment day
leas & everyone else,
Meanwhile back to TSCO, did anyone see the long article in todays City a.m. re Amazon planning to take on supermarkets ?
Yes I know we have heard it all before but this article appears to have some leaked Amazon documents saying what their targets are ; 60 sites this year, then 100 in 2022 & another 100 in 2023, all cashier less.
It does also say that they are behind schedule at present but worth reading, imho
Millcottage
Quite right. That’s my view too. The arrogance of these people is unbelievable. People make their own choices.
Yesterday I flew back to the UK. She was with her husband and child. During the flight I got chatting and she told me she was an ICU nurse in Leeds. I told her what a sterling job the NHS have done and her eyes ‘welled up’.
She told me that she could cope with the intensity pre vaccine.
Bottom line is we all make our own choices.
Well said leas.
Just watching the share price of Tesco crash die right the advert and boycott …..
Oh my error it isn’t Lol
I blame the internet for giving the people who would normally be sat in parents basements with tin foil hats on rock back and forth ranting their conspiracy theories a platform to spread their garbage.
Even in this case using a forum about Tesco Shareprice predictions.
Sad really….sigh
Good luck with not being vaccinated.
Personally I’m vaccinated , protecting others and NHS resources.
Rather selfish not caring about above and only caging about yourself.
I'm 70+, overweight, heart condition, unvaxed. Not antivax, but couldn't get past the protection from litigation the Covid vaccine makers have. Dr John Campbell a strong supporter of vaccinations, has done a few YouTube videos on Ivermectin (the pill for horses, yes that's the one). He has been fact checked by many and has given pretty concrete evidence in support of his findings, in favour of this extremely cheap drug. Awarded the Nobel prize for medicine in 2015 (and since 3.7 billion doses have been given to people) It is an anti parasitic medication use to destroy parasitic infections. Hope this may help or at least give you something to ponder over. While you’re at it the BBC did a thing about Ivermectin.
If I was nervous over having the vaccine, whether it's because I was anxious over needles or not being confident in the science then I would be humbled by the people taking up the offer of a vaccine. That way the risk to me being unvaccinated would be reduced significantly. My 2 eldest daughters who have not had children want to wait a little more before making a decision which I respect but my 15 year old was only too happy to have it.
I'm glad to say my 2 eldest don't excuse their decision on any conspiracy theory or arrogant enough to think the majority of people are delusional or uneducated. Only a coward would say that to hide behind their own insecurities.
Living in the West, we should be grateful that we live in a society that can offer us options unlike many poorer countries that have not even vaccinated 10% of their population.
I have lost 3 very good friends since the start of the pandemic. All pre vaccine. Says it all really.
Apologies OT. Rant over.
@leas - seen the same in Spain.
Regardless of the loons boycott threats the share price is basically unaffected today as expected.
Vaccinations do work , it’s simple science.
Just because the evidence of such drones meet your conspiracy theory then blame it on the media (the whole worlds media).
Do you know how stupid that sounds?
Every country in the world including Russia , China , USA , Japan, Israel , Australia , Brazil , every country in Europe ….. all working together including their media outlets (hundreds) to say the vaccine is effective when as you state ‘it don’t work’.
Yes sure ;-)
Maybe I can introduce you to my friend who is a African prince with £100 million stuck in a bank account lol
