I think they are almost mindful of not wanting to make too much profit at the minute, as ridiculous as it sounds, if they were to go full throttle the amount of negative press re profiteering and taking advantage of already stretched households could quite quickly have a negative effect on the company. I remember the days pre credit crunch when this was often a feature of the reception of their results and household finances were under a lot less pressure then.
Apparently we are in a cost of living crisis. If they can deliver results like this even in bad times I can’t think of a better place to park my money.
Booker is jewel in Tesco crown.
What a great idea by Sir Dave.
Buy some more wholesalers!!!!
Jamtart1 Yes they are indeed great 'Every Little Helps' some 10% increase in improvement along with gaining further market share must be worth a rerating by the city analysts.
Excellent results not many companies can beat that in the current climate.
Oops - 'day' missing
Should be an interesting in prospect. JJ
Why is the stock price still falling? We had amazing price increasing until the ex. dividend date.
Naturally shares fall to the dividend amount, but this fell even further. Off as we have the
750 million share buy back. Thought the share would above 300p ????
Which magazine attacking Tesco again today . Are these the same people who many years ago , for a cash fee would rate a food product my Company produced as the best available . We refused to pay . They then rated a third party own label product we produced as best , and an identical product we also produced for own label as of poorer quality !
Just seen in the news yesterday about the Tesco pension losing a few Billion in value.
LG4444, thankyou for your last post as I had overlooked the date for ex div. JJ
It was rising because it was approaching ex-dividend date. The share becomes more attractive for some, as they will get any dividend payment. It is likely to drop back in price now.
I think it was coming from an undervalued position late last calendar year, however I feel that this rise may run out of steam soon. So much so I cashed several £k of these earlier today at 282.
Come the end of this summer, and knowing how I call these things, it's 382, I'll probably be suitably cursing my decision today lol.
Why is this rising? Is it the future cost reductions in transport and food that will filter through to higher profits?
Chart Tesco reads 100% strong buy................. DYOR
Tractor Supply Company? Am I missing something? Are they being sued for having big yellow wheel hubs as well?
Divedendmax is great

Works a treat!

They should use pink with glitter, it would appeal to children so they then enjoy pointing out bargains to Dad and Mum. Waste of money contesting the decision. JJ
They're appealing it. Doubt there will be much change imminently.

I think that it was the "Every Lidl helps" that gave it away :-) Sorry, but what a joke! So you can't use a yellow circle for anything because Lidl own it. You must be joking!
Anyway, Lidl stole their logo off Dell. Both have components that appear to be falling over. Just like my Dell laptop!
Try this
