It’s just total frustration from my point of view, I would just like to see some progress as the wait has been of epic proportions here. Hopefully we are near to something meaningful being released for all our sakes.
I don’t believe anyone has been suggesting malice (or malpractice etc) on the part of any director. Rather it is all taking a lot longer than anyone reasonably predicted (even me) from when this started.
Like I have said frequently in recent times - best to look forward now and see what cards are dealt ie PPA and then funding. A good outcome for Orapa will be nice, but best not expect a slam dunk on this for the time being.
The share price will let us know on all of these as and when ....
Whizzer.......... there is an element of truth in what you are saying. As i have said in the past this is a new industry in Southern Africa with many many hurdles to over come . The progress has been slow and i'd like to think thats due to miss reading of what required and how slow the wheels of government move. Rather than malice on behalf of the director, the truth will soon be out. So fingers crossed.
We have been told by the bod that funding and the ppa should be signed off this quarter. They have about 6 weeks or so to finally get things together or it will be another missed timeline!! They are unable to get anything done quickly.
The company and its directors have stagnated for far to long and have left investors with nothing to show for the 4 years or so most of us have been invested here!
They are fantastic at talking the talk but so so poor in turning any of it into something that is meaningful!
They have to start delivering!!!!!
Winni, agreed , but unlike the whingers on here , it seems to me that Orapa are prepared to wait for us because they'll surely be aware of our unavoidable delays.
If it transpires that we get the contract, it will complete the due dilgence report overnight!
I can't help wondering if the Govt planned this, and are happy to take a back seat on funding because they cannot compete time-wise with the new investor! Once we are funded for phase 1 and maybe phase 2 , they will be able to push through future funding much easier. And their finances and BPC's might be so much more stable than now?
My gut thinks that TG thinks the funding is in the bag, hence the noise on the other opportunities solar, hydro and the gas supply. You have to be pretty confident that You can supply the required volumes of gas to even consider and then put in a tender. For me it is a clear signal that TG thinks everything is coming together . If he didn’t there would be radio silence like the last few years. Well that’s my take on what happening currently
Sod all Whizzer? If TG had said we are not going to bid , how would you have received that information? Bidding for Orapa is within our control , and it is positive action being recorded.
Waiting for due diligence is not within our control, we are supporting the assessors and that is all we can do! Once that completes, news on funding should be nearer and then we'll be active again on that front.
Bidding for 90Mw in gas form, 149Km away , makes 2Mw along Tx lines of 100Km look like a formality or the company are what??The sp is low, granted , but we are in limbo pending news of funding and Covid lockdown suspension .....
Both look tantalisingly close compared to a year ago when there was no end in sight for Covid , and the funding was therefore immaterial!
It would be better if we had an rns telling us that funding had been sorted along with the ppa!!!
These tweets mean sod all until they rns something tangible.
What’s happened to the contractor’s? Why haven’t they started work yet?
Everything tlou do is at a snails pace!!!
When is gilby going to repay the holders?
Another article in the Botswana press. They are busy:
'Tlou Energy, an Australian-based company focused on electricity generation in Botswana, has announced plans to bid for the supply and delivery of natural gas to the Orapa 90 Megawatts (MW) power plant.'
https://twitter.com/TlouEnergy/status/1391983395341836289
Apologies Brad but I’ve been waiting years to use that one.
I was most impressed with the article on Botswana, very surprised that it did not do more for the share price.
I think that we may be close to lots of significant news and I am confident about the next few weeks, good luck to all.
Hint, if you think there is more to read on a thread then use REPLY ,
this thread ends at TLK's crossword question on my pc.
Glad he sucked in another poster , I'm in good company with Graham!
marooned
Haha TLK, if only you could write with a Scottish accent!
Thanks Brad, I’ll have a pint of lager.
Marooned?
I have been trying to get one in a crossword this morning.
Stranded on a desert island, eight letters beginning with M.
I cannot get away from him ..... I go to the Guardian cryptic today and this is 1 across!
I saw STUPID and immediately thought of the ADVFN superior poster.
Even crossword compilers know the truth :O) , the thought of two of them is not nice!
1 Stupid people lacking college educator for ABC etc (4)
Or even from S****horpe
I really think LSE need to reconsider what they redact. If I was from the country in the example below I think I'd be very offended to see the coal production reported like this ....
****stan 4.0 3.3 3.4 3.0 3.6
Appi, you can see how he works. He comes up with a typical moagi brainwave, "perhaps Orapa have a deal lined up outside of Botswana" , but hasn't got a clue with WHO or WHERE! And he does not have a database like he thinks I do, and he does not know how to google because he believes only idiots learn from google (that is true)!
He thinks to himself, I won't mention the imaginary rival, I'll just call Brad an idiot and EVERYONE will believe me and think I know something that I don't!
Well donkey , I don't have a database, I know how to use search engines and you saw the result! Not a snowballs chance in hell of anybody but TG and Tlou in Botswana supplying CBM to Orapa!
The only other candidate is your beloved KE , and with Tlou endeavouring to supply 2MW to 10MW, I think the chances of KE having their 97MW in the bag, and capacity for a further 90MW is as likely as you having a brain.
If you are an ex-boxer , it makes sense! Instead of joining an amateur club and fighting lightweights like yourself , you got into the ring with a someone like George Foreman , a professional heavyweight world champion, and had your brains knocked out!
So now you're a keyboard warrior and all you do is have no contests with the likes of MM , and you don't realise you are out of of your depth in the kiddies pool. You are challenging people in Olympic pools with 10M diving boards! Go back to ADVFN - and take your yellow duck with you!
You clearly still read my posts, but why if they are the same repetitive nonsense that you claim?
It is time to move up from Peter and Jane books donk! I suggest Tarzan is the next step, at least you'll already know Jane and you don't want to get out of your depth! Guilty as charged?
Sorry guys, I woke up early and had to put the bins out so I won't get back to sleep.
I am wondering if I think I am George Foreman tbh, this boxing game is too easy.
Something I have noticed over the years is that trolls never enter into a fight. It does make me wonder if they are being paid to corrupt chatroom's beliefs but won't be paid if they become too controversial and lose credibility for the cause?
'Guess what - the sheep you are trying to lead on this don’t have enough shares to make any kind of impact. Surely even you are not that stupid.'
And yet here you are trying influence those same sheep.
Good BUT make sure you keep me on your filter. You have said you would; many times; now please stay true to your word.
MOAGI , I also said you are off filter! You aren't now !
Somalia is your hot tip eh? I imagine Botswana would encourage gas from there you oaf!
I just have to consider which country has so much CBM that they'd want to export it to Botswana!
You are so effing stupid it is unreal!
You are coffee now!
Smith - I thought you were stopping posting. Clearly not. Shame.
MM - ‘seemingly’ ...... How jolly. But then I thought Tlou and Tony, through GG were super-connected into everything that is going on. But wait, you recover the situation .... they had a plan already ‘prepack’.
Smith - did you ever think someone might look to import the gas from a neighbouring country. I wonder which one. Jeez, Mary Joseph and the wee donkey.... you really are so behind the curve here it is no longer amusing.
MM - I am assuming you knew this, but then your role here isn’t ever to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but ...... Just as long as there is the chance for innuendo or implication, you will say pretty much anything. Guess what - the sheep you are trying to lead on this don’t have enough shares to make any kind of impact. Surely even you are not that stupid.
For what it is worth, there are probably 6 (or more) S African companies eying up importing gas to Orapa. And goodness knows how many Perth Pirates thinking about some **** and bull story.... When will you guys get a grip and waken up.
Makes a change from RABIDITY bts
May 25th deadline gave little notice to prepare tenders - the only sensible scenario was the tenderers knew long in advance - but happily that des not seem the case from your extract.
If TLOU has a rival (extremely unlikely imho) it would not look good in court if it was not a genuine open tender.
