From Toansy on ADVFN:
"Surprise surprise!!!
Just seen evidence that Goldman Sachs have accumulated a 5.7 percent share of THG that is yet to be formally disclosed. It’s public info but not on morning star which is well out of date.
MSCI methodology is 14 percent of the free float which is only 10 percent. Shares out on loan is circa 6/7 percent. So THG shares will be bought by the end of business of This month for MSCI and under their methodology it’s 14 percent of free float. What happens when shares get added to an index ?
Why do you think there has been all those large after hours buys and the share price ticking Up when the market isn’t very positive in general?
Prepare for the rerate of all rerates."
BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!
INTERESTING NOTE: ****Top 25 shareholders own 81.6% of the company***
This is insane!
You would say most probably 90%+ is owned by BOD/II/Hedge Funds, I personally don't know any other company out there where this is the case!
Perfect Storm brewing, if they want to buy in now, eg Tracker funds after Premium Listing, tiny free float, this will go back up faster than it came down!
Show we the evidence and I'll take more notice :)
Goldman are overseas so presumably 5% threshold rules apply, if its on Bloomberg it may have come via portfolio update?
Please ignore these imbeciles. They have no credibility.
They can try to worm there way out, one thing we know, THEY DONT HOLD A SINGLE SHARE.
BASHERS NEVER BASH A BAD STOCK!
They only have 1 motive hear, its crystal clear.
Not going to persaude any long term holders here to sell. You guys and girls need to give up, no life??
Always DYOR, we all know the gebuine holders here!
Great news with investors moving back in
Can someone provide a link to the MSCI point? I can’t find anything
Thanks
Goldy
Without a link, it's difficult to accept the credibility of this report.
Indeed. Interesting that wanting some form of primary evidence is now considered bashing.
Note - evidence is not because I don't think it's true. More because I would love it to be but have been burnt by bull****ters and trigger happy confirmation bias folk on boards before.
From Toansy on ADVFN just for you Algo:
Pls tell that Arse Algo man and his mate over on LSE that the share register is up to date on “share view”. I’ve posted the image on my Twitter with all the top shareholders but my Twitter shows my identity. He is talking about us bias trigger happy investors. How about his bias to not believe and jump to conclusions and thank the people that do proper research. Even better copy my response over to the clowns.
Cheers
Toansy
I thought the annual report showed Blackrock at 0%? The screenshot on twitter shows 3.01%
Can someone give the link to the screenshot on Twitter?
Nobody called anyone a lair and trigger happy was referring to anyone who just lapped it up.
When information is put out without a supporting link or a clear explanation of where to verify the claims, one should expect diligent people to be cautious.
Having said all that, the guy comes across as a bit of a sensitive, egotistical tit so I am not concerned if any offence was caused.
I was thinking the same Holy, pretty sure Blackrocks annual report was posted by DanL a few months where they explained they had fully sold due to thinking ingenuity would need a lot of capital to grow.
It’s shows it as N/A as they are only showing holdings above 3%
Hosai, I remember reading a Blackrock annual report which said they exited THG, but at the time it was questioned that it was only one fund.
I assume if they have gone over 3%, up vs the annual report, then we’d also expect an RNS?
Hope the data is correct, as a turnaround from Blackrock feels significant.
Agree with ste on the n/a. We don’t know what Blackrock is now
DanL? Why did he leave the LSE forum?
Goldy
Correct Holy that's my undertansing you legally have to announce the 3% threshold
UK based 3%, US based 5%
Is goldy admitting to being the same person signing off there? Or do we know this and I have just missed something?
For peoples reference, this is detail from Toansy’ post…
Matt Moulding 14.98%
Sofina 9%
Jupiter 8.09%
Balderton 7.94%
SoftBank 6.6%
Goldman Sach 5.71%
T Rowe 4.99%
Blackrock 3.01%
Vanguard 2.46%
That shareholding is worrying as it’s shows SoftBank have sold!
I hope it’s incorrect as I like having SoftBank as a shareholder and the potential of the option
Goldy
If you click into the detail on SoftBank it specifies 80,621,797 shares which is the same as quoted in the RNS dated 9th June 2021. So no change of n shareholding on a ‘number of shares’ basis. Might be the %age has been calculated inconsistently between data sources.
FUD - the public figure for SB is 6.6%, no change.
Look at page 124 of the most recent annual report…
Interesting. Cannot explain that other then THG *know* the actual figure. The public know the RNS threshold figure.
Certainly going back through recent history 6.6% has always been the figure.
