J2 getting some good views on Posts Down under if youre not on HOT COPPER Easy to join as LSE not quite used to using it yet..... would be great to get a few posters on here from AUS and vice versa? http://hotcopper.com.au/post_single.asp?fid=1&tid=2216530&msgid=13149054#.UzpbpfldVOc
No probs j2 Dart tick up last night!
Thanks Ken.....
I ve come across a few good posts on HOT copper so Im sure they wont mind me placing a few here:- STREIBS Dart and AJ Lucas management and shareholders should take notice of what is happening in Poland . Poland have a number of very active juniors which are actually drilling and frac'ing wells . 3Legs and San Leon(explorers set up specifically for Euro shale) , BNK(a producer in the US) , Wisent (William Marble's company). In contrast , how many wells will be drilled in the UK during 2014 and of those will any be frac'd ? I'm no longer excited by farm ins to household name majors . Now a farm out to a US shale leader like EOG resources or a Continental would be a different matter . What the UK needs is people who will drill and frac a few wells and prove this thing works . We had a British Geological Survey chappy saying the UK was too crowded for a large scale shale industry . With his decent salary and safe pension it makes little difference to him whether shale goes ahead or not . The engineers know the challenges and need to be let loose to show what they can do .
theres a few answers An advantage is Greater liquidity and a tighter spread ( asked the wife about this and she slapped me :-D) I know Nokia are one company thats listed all over.... main reason I guess is the time zones lifted from Investopedia:- he listing of a company's common shares on a different exchange than its primary and original stock exchange. In order to be approved for cross-listing, the company in question must meet the same requirements as any other listed member of the exchange, such as basic requirements for the share count, accounting policies, filing requirements for financial reports and company revenues. Investopedia Says: Some of the advantages to cross-listing include having shares trade in multiple time zones and in multiple currencies. This gives issuing companies more liquidity and a greater ability to raise capital. Most foreign companies that cross-list in the U.S. markets do so via American depositary receipts (ADRs). The term often applies to foreign-based companies that choose to list their shares on U.S.-based exchanges like the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). But firms based in the U.S. may choose to cross-list on European or Asian exchanges, a strategy that may become more popular if the U.S. dollar struggles against major foreign currencies for a lengthy period of time. The adoption of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements in 2002 made cross-listing on U.S. exchanges more costly than in the past; the requirements put a heavy emphasis on corporate governance and accountability. This, along with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) accounting, makes for a challenging hurdle for many companies whose "home" exchange may have laxer standards. Would love to know how the LSE listing will affect the ASX SP.......
Ab fab...... Great news today...... Frack on!!Mon, 31st Mar 2014 07:19 LONDON, March 31 (Reuters) - UK shale gas explorer IGas Energy said it had encountered parts of the promising Sabden and Bowland Shale formations in its drilling programme at Barton Moss, near Manchester in northern England. Samples taken from the drilling programme will be analysed over the coming six months before the exploration firm will decide how to proceed, the company said. IGas also said it was in the process of acquiring around 100 square kilometres of 3D seismic data in the north west of the country to determine where else to drill for shale gas. "These early exploration results are key to our understanding of the potential resource in the area," said Chief Executive Andrew Austin. Britain is counting on the development of potentially substantial shale gas resources to help it stem a rise in dependence on gas imports as production from the mature North Sea basin is declining. *****DART ENERGY****** borrowed posts from HOT COPPER After quite a while in the doldrums with no significant buying interest, someone seems to be interested in acquiring at 11c. They have been putting more orders into the queue yesterday and again today.
*****DART ENERGY****** borrowed posts from HOT COPPER with thanks owever, always being aware of UK's dependency on gas supply through Gazprom, I saw it as a mere matter of time before the ****E is going to hit the fan and strike were it hurts more. The Russia/Ukaine (with gas supply fall-out issue) is now a very clear reminder for UK to get their arses moving with no time to spare. Tensions in Northern hemispere will continue to highten in decades to come. Simply no way/justification to rely on "peacefull", "neighborly" relations tha will serve as a supposed guarantee for continuous energy supply/security for decades/centuries to come. Thus, holding back on doing something RIGHT NOW! to ensure future security of energy supply calls for bold, history defining decisions by people like the Airth/Falkirk Councils, and UK governments. Cameron, I believe, is awake an sees all the red lights flashing. To the Scots _ you are the wise old men who have showed what you are made of.I believe in rationality prevaiing when you guys make very important decisions that wil sculpt Scotland and the UK's future energy dependency. Best regards to all. may logic prevail.
Will our DART get a bullseye with this SPIN from DC???? FARDON DRILLING AIRTH on INQUIRY NOW... SP holding pre CAMERON news yesterday up 1.82%, and spread increasing, indication upwards trend to continue. back to 16 cents, post TOTAL FARM IN NEWS??

ROLL OUT THE BARREL DC has spoken over SHALE & UNCONV GAS & OILhttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/energy/fracking/10723294/David-Cameron-Britain-has-a-duty-to-frack.html Britain has a "duty" to embrace fracking in the wake of the Ukraine crisis, David Cameron has said, as he accused opponents of shale gas exploration of not "understanding" the issue properly. The Prime Minister said that Vladimir Putin's annexation of Crimea should be a "wake up call" and that European countries must become less reliant on Russian gas. There is growing concern that European leaders are unable to put sufficient pressure on Mr Putin over the crisis in Ukraine because they are so dependent on Russia for energy supplies. Asked whether it is now "our duty to ensure that we are more energy independent by embracing fracking", the Prime Minister said: "Yes I think it is. Something positive should come out of this for Europe which is to take a long hard look at its energy resilience, and its energy independence." "Britain is not reliant on Russian gas to any extent, it's a few percentage points of our gas intake," Mr Cameron said. "But the variety around Europe is very, very wide. Some countries are almost 100 per cent reliant on Russian gas so I think it is something of a wake up call and I think action will be taken." Fracking, which involves fracturing rocks deep underground with water and chemicals to extract natural gas, has dramatically cut energy bills in the USA. Ministers are hoping that it could do the same in the UK. However, the process led to protests last year in West Sussex. Barack Obama this week used a summit in the Netherlands to press Mr Cameron and other European Union leaders to impose tougher sanctions on Russia over Mr Putin's aggression in Ukraine. Officials believe that Britain can learn from the speed with which America has embraced fracking. Mr Cameron said: "Why has it taken so long in the UK and Europe as compared to the US? We can ponder that or alternatively we can just do what this Government is doing which is to roll up the sleeves, simplify the process, make the permissions easier, getting on with some wells moving." However, in comments that risk angering opponents of fracking, Mr Cameron said that there is a "lack of understanding" about how shale gas exploration works. "A lot of people think that the process of fracturing shale goes forever and ever rather than having a process and then you release the gas and then you take the gas off," Mr Cameron said. "There's a lack of understanding about the nature of what actually happens and how much it has in common with the ways that we extract gas in the world today." He added: "When I look at a lot of the concerns expressed, I think a lot of them are based on concerns and people worrying about things but I think when you actually look at them all and go

Now theres a learing curve for us DUAL Listing or Fund Raising via new additional shares...... Well logic says the latter will dilute Sp, so this would need to be done when they have some good news to report,.......Perhaps the AIRTH enquiry, or Findings at the IGAS BARTON site will do ths**** DART have acreage in the CHESHIRE , NORTH WEST area that's being drilled now, so any results from SHALE reports on IGAS BARTON will be welcome? PS. we have BALCOME going on to FLOW test soon (CUADRILLA) can you enlighten us if you have any idea of timescales/ likely outcome down there? as We say WE/ THEYRE all in it together ......................................
I bought these last year. When they list on the LSE how will it affect the ASX listing?

Extracting coal bed methane gas will not require using chemicals that will be a threat to the environment. On the first day of the public inquiry into a planning application from Dart Energy to drill for the gas near Airth, drilling expert Andrew Sloan claimed they would be as “hazardous” as a Sherbet Fountain, a popular children’s sweet, or a packet of indigestion tablets. Under questioning from Sir Crispin Agnew QC who is representing objectors Concerned Communities of Falkirk, Mr Sloan said both contained the soda ash chemical which would be used to pump the gas from 3600 feet below ground to the surface. He also said the drilling procedure which involved wells drilled vertically and horizontally being connected underground was a system which had been safely employed for over 40 years across the world. Mr Sloan told the inquiry, which is expected to last three weeks: “It is anything but novel.” http://www.falkirkherald.co.uk/news/local-news/dart-energy-inquiry-told-airth-gas-plan-is-safe-1-3345785?WT.mc_id=Outbrain_text&obref=obinsite
