Very disconcerted by front running of Dart SP down under ahead of AIM listing next Monday. DYOR folks... look at what Dart has to offer and do some maths to compare with Egdon, IGAS and Union Jack.

BULLETIN BOARD, POST HERE
Yeah I'm fairly basic too operate through a nominee ( crest) Ig markets are the only one I use.... practiced last year its, well worth having a pop, even just on a trial basis as long as you are not a gambler..... LSE has some platforms, I've yet to look at properly but need some profit this year first!!
Thanks Ken, but I don't do spreadbetting. I've been dealing in shares for several years but only the certificate kind. Had several gaps in between so not die hard investor. Only just went to a nominee account where I can sell/buy straight away with the proceeds of a share I sell. Which is better than waiting 2 wks. I do not put my finances online so that would be no good for me. I will just have to wait. Thanks anyway. Im just a basic investor.
prob see your broker. dart CFDs are available on IG MARKETS Dart is just one of several stocks I have all in UK Shale Gas etc.
Could not buy any. Im with HL and they don't do it. I suppose because of the time difference. Oh well will have to wait til 12th May when I will no doubt have to pay a higher price. Can you register for shares in the company?
Ken are you in for the long term or just the CFD? I've just looked up their website and I am thinking of just putting a little in before the herd comes in.
yes I is on a CFD ( Leveraged ), this is the only Leveraged stock I have as its on ASX currently sp as of yesterday 12 cents, had been holding at 11 ish after an initial spike after the recent farm ins from TOTAL etc
Kern are you in Dart and do you know what the sp is or was recently?
Dart Energy well positioned ahead of May AIM float Ahead of next month's AIM float UK-focused unconventional gas firm Dart Energy (ASX:DTE) confirmed it remained debt free and at the end of the first quarter had A$34.2mln of cash. In recent months Dart's coal bed methane (CBM) and shale assets have been put in the spotlight thanks to two separate, high profile farm-out deals, with GDF Suez and Total respectively. As only one of a handful of companies with direct access to the UK's anticipated shale gas boom, the soon to be AIM-listed firm is expected to garner a great deal of interest in the City. Alongside its high profile new partners progress appears relatively rapid, with drilling already underway well results anticipated from two CBM wells in the third quarter. Drilling began last month, in the GDF joint venture, and the first two results will come from the Churton and Lound CBM wells. Also in March, around 70 kilometres of 3D seismic was shot for the Total joint venture. The work constitutes the first phase of exploration under the agreed programme, and the data will be analysed over the remainder of the year. Dart said its exploration expenditure totalled A$2.5mln in the three month period, ended March 31. http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/68020/dart-energy-well-positioned-ahead-of-may-aim-float-68020.html
Bulltein Board for the forthcoming London Listing
VIDEO: Building CBM wells with Dart Energy The construction of wells in coalbed methane (CBM) fields is vital to the CBM industry. They are needed in order to identify, test and also produce CBM. They are designed and constructed using proven procedures and equipment, and represent a major investment by CBM companies. A number of design considerations must be kept in mind when planning a well, for example, they must be isolated from isolated geological strata, including overlying aquifers. Dart Energy’s 10 production wells at Lethan Moss have been appraised as having the potential to produce between 9 – 14 billion ft3 of methane over the next 20 years. http://www.worldcoal.com/news/cbm/articles/Building_CBM_wells_with_Dart_Energy_14.aspx#%2EU1qAAK1dW88
THE ONE TO WATCH Dart Energy (ASX:DTE) With a lot more to come from Dart over the next few weeks, not least the Dual Listing on the 12th May, the company has had its first taste of protesters at its Daneshill Road CBM site in Nottinghamshire. Despite this site drilling for coal samples and not fraccing or testing methane, the company saw firstly aggravated trespass as a demonstrator climbed onto the rig and then a night of abuse which included masked protestors threatening staff and eventually physically assaulting the Dart site manager. When it comes to the market Dart is one to watch as there aren’t many ways to play UK unconventional resources as I have said many times. http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/columns/the-pay-zone/15993/the-pay-zone-dart-energy-genel-energy-gulf-keystone-petroleum-schlumberger-limited-baker-hughes-and-finally-15993.html
Both Dart Energy and the protestors have pledged to leave their respective sites as they found them on arrival and will begin ‘clean-up’ activity over the next few days. very interesting, thanks, Shale ..... wonder if publication will be delayed until after the Euro & local elections on 22 May? I imagine that Cons and LDem members of the government may have differing views and may not want to argue in public (thereby helping Lab and UKIP) until after the poll.
seen this article? Weald has up to 1/3 of volume of north sea oil!!! http://blogs.ft.com/nick-butler/2014/03/30/after-shale-gas-now-for-tight-oil/ that's not a game changer, that is a whole new game!
My calculations not complete, sorry. But a couple of comments.. Dart has a good field in Scotland (PEDL 133 "Airth") with actual 2P reserves and this forms a good part of the asset base... but there are local objections and a public hearing is happening right now... the outcome of this will be significant + or - . Secondly, the board was ousted a few months back and the new guys have brought admin expenses down, but they are still high, need monitoring..... DYOR, there is plenty of stuff a chew on on the co's website and particularly in the admission document. For EDR I highly recommend the freely available Edison research, and for IGAS it's a question of the recent shale farmouts and the total acreage, plus their production revenues which you can see in their annual report. UJO see acreage & farmouts and cross reference valuations to EDR Edison research.
What is your take on the dart value?? And on the value of some other exploration companies? What is the impact of the granting of permission (so, % increase in value of today's price?) etc. Curious to have some opinions here.
Guys, Hope Dart will have a flying start with its UK quote! I am curious if you have any news on other introductions as well; If I am not mistaken, Cuadrilla is majority owned by AJ Lucas (ASX; AJL). Some time ago a british blog 'Malcy's Blog' on oil/gas investing mentioned that they are also considering a similar exercise. Any news??? Clearly UK shale could become hot, RED HOT. A lot of preparation has been done now by all stakeholders. This should show rather soon. Also the BGS will announce the resource of the Weald (South England) soon, similar to what they did for the Bowland. Cuadrilla, and some other Oz entities hold acreage there.
Don't like the sudden 15% rise in OZ over the past couple of sessions (post the publication of the admission doc). SP is being front run ahead of the AIM intro. By the admission date (12 May) there may be little to go for... still not to worry, several other UK shale fish to fry: IGAS, EDR, UOJ. As usual, DYOR folks and work out what DART is worth, with reference to the valuations the market places on these three other stocks.
DART DART DART DART energy BB Nice rise last night 11.8 BULLETIN BOARD FOR DART ************************************************************ I am off on HOLS now so keep posting guys good luck
