Try Hargreaves Landsdown. They cover the HSE and also will reimburse any transfer charges. I will be transfering from Halifax Share Dealing. Their dealing charges are less too.
Spoke to TD Waterhouse today, they don't support trade on Helsinki Exchange. Their customer support advised to wait for corporate actions been issued. Can you please advise brokers who do trade on Helsinki Stock Exchange ? will I need to pay a fee to transfer shares from TD warehouse?
You still in here?
ive been in tal for about 6 months, decided to bale out before delisting,i still think it will do well in the long term, couldn't be bothered, too much fuss,so i'm down about a thou, what i had left went on coms, that again looks promising l.gla.
not to worry, if you read back previous posts Halifax can transfer them to a broker that deals in Helsinki exchange for free once they are delisted from lse. the two brokers mentioned were Hargreaves lansdown and I personally have accounts with saxo bank (cheaper that hl)
I have a small holding of this company, bought back at urgg 15p. I don't really want to sell the share i have, halifax said they will not deal with them once they are off the lse. What will happen to my share when the de-listing happens? Are they worthless due to me not being able to sell them or have i missed something? Thanks for any help.
Amazing how tweets are fluctuating the sp of the company...http://paikanpaalla.fi/
the vote to de list was carried on the 14th of june that all shares are to trade on the helsinki stock exchange by the 14th of july....ALB
When are they looking at delisting from LSE, I thought it was 14th June and next quarter results in september?
I agree with you yamaha64 i am in a bit higher than you, I think when we are away from the lse we will see a more stable growth especially when the next quarter comes to light. Been scary at times but that's all behind us now. Good luck
im still here, sticking like a limpet, think when this goes its really going to fly, certainly been a rollercoaster ride, but lucky i got in at 3p, last year watched it go up then way down again, then up, its way too good to fold now, so much work has been done, and the plant is working like a clock, well best of luck to all that have stuck through thick and thin. come on pekka pera make us proud.
Strange nearly a week without a post
jammie you! I paid £25 of my hard earned money to transfer from Halifax...if only I had known. Well if you speak to any brokers, it could take up to 12 weeks for the shares to transfer. Mine did and I am still waiting on one of the shares to still transfer. Closing my share dealing accounts with Halifax!! You won't be able to trade the stocks after de-listing but you can still transfer those, so no rush if you are getting a free transfer out. I am not aware of any boards like that but love to know if anyone finds out more on that.
Many thanks Rook and all other posters who responded. Much appreciated.
apologies for my late reply, didn't go into much on the phone but like yourself was thinking of HL,i'm hoping it's a simple process but it's new to me.as far as i know we have untill sometime in july to transfer so no rush just yet and will wait for the corporate action notice next week and will post the gist of what it says.once again apologies.....ALB
Is there a board like for Helsinki market
Fri, 13th Jun 2014 15:26 Stock Exchange Release Talvivaara Mining Company Plc 13 June 2014 Notice Regarding Application for Delisting of Shares from the London Stock Exchange Talvivaara Mining Company Plc (the "Company") hereby announces that the Company has resolved at a meeting of its board of directors held today, to request the cancellation of the premium listing of its shares of common stock (ISIN: F10009014716, the "Shares") from the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and the cancellation of the admission to trading of the Shares on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange (the "LSE"). The details are as follows: 1. Reason for Applying to Delist The Company has decided to apply for the delisting in order to reduce its costs associated with potential material capital market transactions and other transactions in a distressed financial situation and based on the fact that approximately 79 per cent of the trading in the Shares took place on the official list of NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Ltd (the "Helsinki Stock Exchange") between 1 May 2013 and 30 April 2014. Further, the Company considers there to be no significant benefit in maintaining the listing. The Company does not anticipate that such delisting will adversely affect its shareholders or other investors, since the Shares will continue to be listed and tradable on the official list of the Helsinki Stock Exchange. 2. Delisting Schedule An application has been made to the UK Listing Authority for the Shares to be removed from the Official List and to the LSE for their cancellation from trading. The delisting and cancellation of trading of the Shares on the LSE is expected on or around 14 July 2014. The trading code of the Shares in the Helsinki Stock Exchange is "TLV1V" and in the LSE "TALV". ..I'm with halifax, they said I could transfer for free if Talv de-list.............opened up an account with HL and will be transferring to them
Pleasure. I'm a rooky casual trader but have loved watching posts on this and other boards and learnt tons. Started with TC when they were 12p which got me hooked..... Glad to give something back. As said, the guy I spoke to was pretty certain would be OK and went off to check with his colleague if there was a 'corporate instruction (?) for delisting. Wasn't one, but said we'd receive a message if/when it happens so we can give instructions. I'm hoping to hold for good times ahead..... Also got small pot with STGR & a punt with WSX. Wife's new shoes for Christmas depend on these!!
Many thanks for letting me know. I spoke to a lady at Nat West last week and she advised that they couldn't but she did seem quite hazy about things if I'm honest. Will wait for TALV to list the official delist date and pick up with Natwest again. Thanks once again.
Jal -I'm with natwest too and spoke to them today and they said they could arrange trading with Helsinki.... May cost. £70 fee but guy insisted not a problem.
Hi Rook. Do you know what would be involved in a share transfer from one broker to another? Would it be a straight forward exercise or would you have to sell with current broker and buy back with new broker? I'm currently using Nat West who don't support trade on Helsinki Exchange so thinking of using Hargreaves Lansdown.
rang td direct, said a corporate action notice would be on the site later this week but the young lady on the phone said they don't trade on the helsinki exchange so i will need to transfer my shares, will wait to read the notice and then decide hope this is of help to someone.would like to thank the regular posters for keeping me up to date.....ALB
yea looks this way, as long as HL can trade if we get de-listed, i will be keeping them!
