Yes very much how India works. Lots of people on stage. Long, meandering questions - so it is unclear if the presentation is understood. And, at the end, Laurier gets a metal plaque for his wall and a pot plant for his desk.
He's certainly getting about, Mexico just before India.
Of course not. I have only the same information that is available to everyone else. You either believe what the company have been saying or you don’t. I do, and presumably you don’t, but I can’t see how trashing the company you say you remain invested in is going to help your investment. But hey, if it helps your stress levels to do so, then I am sure you will carry right on.
Are you in the know ? links with this company? , WHEN do you think THEY will announce a GOOD commercial contract ?
PIGS WILL FLY ....

Congratulations all ye faithful.
Pass me the whisky.
Thank you TrytoTiber, that is useful. Like you, Ctw2014, I would really hope for an update soon. Too close to Christmas and it gets buried, which would only be a sign of bad news. New Year might be good, but it's hard to wait. Meantime the SP pushes on downwards and is lower now than the early Covid low points: wishing I had waited before my last top up at 17p.
Anyway, this is from today's RNS about attending the world's leading plastics trade fair, and sounds great - if not excited - even if it's nothing material. They took 15 people! Must be very confident that the moment for them is NOW [or desperate?!]. "Over 250 potential new customers" must be good. They did say "New d2w and d2p business was progressed". I have no experience of the business world so I don't know quite what level of engagement they would mean by that.
"Illustrating the scale of the business development opportunity attending this event represents for the Company, the (previous) 2019 edition of the K Show attracted 224,000 visitors from 169 countries and 3,330 exhibitors from 63 countries.....
Symphony delegates met with over 250 potential new customers and 10 strategic partners over the event, potentially delivering significant commercial outcomes for the Company. New d2w and d2p business was progressed and the Company is optimistic that a number of these discussions will swiftly progress to the Group's active project pipeline and thereafter convert into meaningful revenues.
The potential customers met by the Symphony team over the eight days hailed from a diverse range of industries including automotive, pharmaceutical, medical, agricultural, hygiene and waste management. This sectoral diversity illustrated in turn the very wide range of applications for Symphony's d2w and d2p technologies and the ease and cost efficiency with which Symphony's technologies can be incorporated into users' existing supply chains...."
Recent study conclusions focused on 'plastic rain' should be a huge boost for d2w demand. Estimates for the quantity of plastic micro-particles that fall from the atmosphere every year are alarming - 74 metric tonnes per year!
https://www.sciencealert.com/plastic-rain-is-a-now-a-thing-and-weve-underestimated-just-how-heavy-it-is
Add to this that it is also estimated that humans on average consume up to possibly 1 credit worth of plastic every week in the form of micro and nano particles of plastic circulating in the air we breath and the food we eat.
Symphony has carried out studies to demonstrate that its d2w additive overcomes the problem of microplastics in the open environment and has made reasonable attempts to highlight these. While the case for human harm linked to microplastics is not proven yet, you would hope that governments would want to take a more cautious approach and minimise the risk until we know more information on the health implications - especially as d2w is a very low cost solution requiring no redesign of existing plastic manufacture infrastructure.

Company has commented that :
'In the presence of oxygen, the catalyst accelerates the natural oxidation process and reduces the
molecular weight of the polymer at a rapid rate, to the point where it is no longer a plastic and has
become a waxy substance which can be bio-assimilated by bacteria and fungi in the natural
environment. The process continues until the material has biodegraded to nothing more than CO2,
water, and humus. It does not leave fragments of petro-polymers in the soil, and it does not contain
heavy metals'.
“The degradation process is not only a fragmentation, but is an entire change of the material from a high molecular
weight polymer, to monomeric and oligomeric fragments, and from hydrocarbon molecules to oxygen containing molecules which can be bioassimilated.”
The recent CoP15 negotiations have concluded, setting out a new framework of targets for the decade to 2030. Within these, target 7 explicitly highlights 'preventing, reducing and working towards eliminating plastic pollution'.
Over 190 governments from around the world have agreed the new global biodiversity targets, and they could all very easily make an immediate and significant contribution to target 7 on plastics by mandating use of technologies like d2w.
This may seem like a huge open goal for SYM to shoot at. Sadly though vested interests are powerful and will fight against change that harms existing business as usual. The new framework for biodiversity is not legally binding on the nations that signed it today and so in reality we probably wont see much progress on the targets overall.
The hope has to be though that for relatively easy to implement actions like reducing microplastic pollution governments will move quickly and across the board.
So, to put my money where my mouth is, I have taken a few more shares this morning. I will be disappointed if we don’t get a trading update fairly soon, preferably before Xmas as per last year.
Bo77ock7 - mate, I. Just had a look through some of your recent posts across the board. Almost universally cynical/negative about everything. You do realise we are in the middle of a bear market? Nearly everything is down loads irrespective. It’s nearly Christmas. Crack open a nice bottle of wine and chill. This will come good imo, just a matter of when.
The direct endorsement of Symphony’s D2W product by Chris Packham on YouTube was pretty decent PR, albeit several months ago.
What the hell is this company doing? . i never hear radio coverage or mentions on television , do they not realise the importance of PR?. get your heads out of the sand , talk to YOUNG people and use the available tech .
wish id not put my hard earned money into this company . another lifestyle company , with SOME having a GOOD time .
tech this good_ FLAUNT IT > what HAVE YOU GOT TO LOSE SERIOUSLY ?
They are going to have to show some progress as I think they are finally exhausting everyone’s patience. Based on H1 £3m revenue (£2.7m d2w, £0.3m d2p) and the projections in their interim results a guess at H2 revenue is:
d2w - £3.0-3.5m (uptick in Middle East sales and a bit elsewhere)
d2p(bread) - £1.0m (nearly all Bimbo which seems to be £2.0m p.a.)
d2p(anti insect) -£0.6m (as stated in interims, nearly all Rivulis and mostly already received)
d2p(other) - £0.4m (bits and pieces)
gloves - nothing (no authorisation)
So £5.0 -5.5m revenue for H2. That should be around breakeven and will, if built upon, allow them to get to their £14m run rate they are looking for at 30 June next year.
India on top of this - difficult to know how much.
On past form, we should get a trading update before Xmas. Maybe in a week or so.
no news , ? has anything changed ?. do they care , ? ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
One of Michael Stephen’s recent columns sets out what is happening in Wales on single use plastics. Among banning certain single use plastic products Wales are also trying to ban “oxo degradable” plastic. SYM is trying to make sure that this does not include oxo BIOdegradable plastics such as those with d2w. What is interesting is that an amendment has now been tabled to require that single use plastics should be made with oxo biodegradable plastic (so rather a reverse to the original thrust of the proposed law). I am a bit doubtful that this will get through but reading through the background it seems to me that the politicians are beginning to understand much better how to deal with the plastic problem and are coming closer to SYM’s view. In particular they are now realising that compostable plastics (SYM’s arch enemy) does nothing to solve the plastic litter problem because they only degrade at speed in industrial composting facilities and even then not very well.
The result in Wales will probably be quite influential to the rest of the UK and might open up new opportunities for SYM.

Sorry net borrowings should have been £0.7m not £0.5m.
At 30 June 2022 cash of £0.5m and borrowings of £1.2m. So net borrowings of £0.5m. However, after 30June 2022 they had £1m of cash in from a placing. The borrowings are under an £1.5m invoice discounting facility provided by HSBC so there will have only been £0.3m undrawn.
Cash outflow in the first half of 2022 was £0.8m on sales of £3.0m.
Does anyone know how much cash they have? can't seem to find out, thanks
They are simply not supplying and selling enough product or the d2w goes an awful long way…a not of anticipation but no money.
I have just spent a few minutes reading old RNS.
‘Expected’ ‘anticipated’ ‘projected’ and a whole lexicon of meaningless phrases.
Grupo Bimbo -biggest distributor of bread in USA, Canada and Mexico. Same for the Turkish bread lot, same for the Symphony India crowd and those dudes who are using our stuff throughout the Middle East.
Yeah ??
Do people really think the directors read these bulletin boards, still less respond to comments? Come on, get real. Last year we had a trading update mid December, so hopefully we will get some news then.
if you stopped their wages you may get a response, YHEY ARE NOT LISTENING .....
What’s happening? Is there any directors going to respond to earlier messages expressing concern ? Please.
yes i heard it as well as numerous other items i have reported on in the past i think these -------- who run this company are just completley inept do not care or that arrogant they expect firms to come to them to buy their fantastic products ?iam down at the moment but if it manages to rise i will be out of this after many years i have had enough this is not going any were like i have said their little fifedom
