Nice to see this chat still active. I hope everyone is well and making lots of money! All this time on I still struggle to read about the progress of the mine without me and my shares!
Your shares should have been sold and the proceeds returned to you, if not they will probably be in a suspense account somehwere, check with your broker / bank or wherever you bought them from.
best of luck :-)
Hi everyone, I been away for a bit (treatment for cancer and other medical issues). I need advice on what to do with my shares. What can I do to sort this out. Many Thanks.
Extra cost is bonus and new friends and management welcomed into the Team this will help keep taxes down coming to the end of the financial year.
Anglo American PLC (LON:AAL) expects to spend US$500mln on the former Sirius Minerals Yorkshire mine project in 2021, around US$200mln more than it originally expected when it acquired the project at a knockdown price just over a year ago. The miner’s financial results statement reveals that Anglo spent US$292mln on the Woodsmith mine project in 2020 following its acquisition in March,
For those that have access to the full article (unfortunately I don't) it looks like there would have been many more ups and downs to the Sirius story if we had the opportunity to decide the ebbs and flows of investing in Sirius!!!.

The good thing about this is that if an insider was taken in (Crispen Odey) then i dont feel so bad that i was.
But it doesnt do the bank balance any good though.

Nice to see a sudden burst in posting, like you i lost a bundle here, but time to move on, take it as an expensive lesson, I keep highlighting OMI as a share - not ramping it, DYOR, just some may claw something back, like they did with GGP.
I was late to that one, but earlier to OMI.
GLA.
Do Your Own Research.
In an open letter to Sirius boss Chris Fraser and Anglo chief Mark Cutifani, Odey said Sirius’s most recent accounts in September show an equity value of £893.1 million, 120% above Anglo’s offer.
Odey’s fund manager Henry Steel said: “Odey struggles to see how the board of Sirius, including the CFO, can recommend the offer to shareholders as being ‘fair’ only four months after these accounts were published.”
He said Anglo’s bid fell way short of the valuation put on the mine by an independent report into the mine carried out by mining consultancy RPA: “The offer seems to make a mockery of both internal and external audits at Sirius.”
I did not post here for a while .... still licking my wounds. not just scratches, but deep wounds... hopefully I learned from it ... lost more than a Ferrari here ...
I thought that it would be a higher risk proposition, but I did believe (and funny enough, still believe ...) in the mine ability to produce stellar results and returns, unfortunately not for me / us....
Nice to see Fred and few other still posting ...
For my sins, I bought some AA (small $) as I still believe .... it was not AA fault that they bought us cheap in my opinion ...
timing is another item - imagine going out to the market now with a high yield (fair, higher risk proposition) ... we would be flying.
My half a penny ... sorry for all us (especially for myself), but hey ho, learn and move on.

The alteration of the mineral transport tunnel coincided with the visit by Anglo American and subsequent destruction of the share price. Cf said AAL didn’t like the share price at the time.
The AAL share price was £22 in January 2020 and less than £14 in April having been even lower in March due to Covid-19.
I only hold 500 x AAL shares but they’re showing good returns at the moment.
I hope there’s an inquiry into the theft of Sirius Minerals from its shareholders. But I doubt it.

Tony you know Anglo American had people on site in 2018. So it didn’t just happen this was planned.
I lost a fortune on this, and know for a fact that no one on the ground knew anything about what happened until it happened.. Personal view, AA don't need to meet the old Sirius deadlines coz they've got the cash and don't need to chase funding.
My consolation is that a relation got a bonus on the same basis as CF which balanced my loss. Again and by accident not design. They had performance related share options that legally had to be honoured.
gutted but hey ho...onwards and sideways...
Looks like its ticking up again. 10% yesterday, 10% today - lots of drill results about to drop.
Once again DYOR
You had better pull your finger out.
“Production is scheduled to reach 10 million tonnes per year in 2021 and 20 million tonnes annually by 2026.
Fraser said output should begin in the middle of 2021, up to six months earlier than previously planned after the hiring of a new drilling company DMC Mining Services of Canada, a subsidiary of Poland's KGHM KGH.WA”
So far production is a few core samples.
And you have sacked DMC, you know the experts at operating the SBR.
Such shame for those who lost their lives. And family's and communities.
Thanks for information.
Woodsmith needs two shafts to operate by law.
“The Hartley Colliery disaster (also known as the Hartley Pit disaster or Hester Pit disaster) was a coal mining accident in Northumberland, England, that occurred on 16 January 1862 and resulted in the deaths of 204 men. The beam of the pit's pumping engine broke and fell down the shaft, trapping the men below. The disaster prompted a change in British law that required all collieries to have at least two independent means of escape”
Just like the Sirius minerals story there's a lot of people buying into the new company..shares are over 20 pounds A share.. ? Are they in for a big shock to beginning to wonder..
Didn't Chris Frazer say we may have to use one of the shafts to access Polly 4 in order to raise funds
earlier than expected. Due to the 24 miles super fast conveyor belt into Teesside batching plant , which when ready will be shipped around the globe as Top top quality Farm fertilizer organic A soil conditioning... There's lots more in this Story .
Woodsmith mine is turning into a Zeno’s Paradox, the completion date just keeps on moving further and further away.
The polyhalite mine and a 23-mile tunnel leading to a Teesside processing plant is under construction near Whitby, ready for completion "later in the decade".
What happened to first production in 2021, it’s now “later in the decade”

AAL share price continues to rise - now nudging £26, roughly double when the SXX takeover went through
Chris Frazer and Labour Lord Hatton check this website now and again.
Hi Gertfrobe - that is very interesting. So while we were putting up 185 million x 15p he didn't put up even 1 x15p. It makes you wonder what he knew that we didn't.
