I could not agree more Fred. It is the only share I have ever had an emotional attachment to. I live within an hour of the site and to drive past that hive of activity and knowing you are playing your part in bringing something so transformational to the region is wonderful. Yes, it is difficult at present, but we did not buy into a dream, we bought into a business where the numbers did, do, and should still stack up to make it a worthwhile investment for those who have the patience to wait for good capital growth and excellent dividend yields. I hate to see such short-term views on here; the get rich quick, the fleeting 'investor'. We are still firmly at the beginning of the beginning.
Nice post Fred
Lovelyboy
That sounds nice. But there should be no room for emotion in investment. You calculate the risk you are willing to take for the potential return.
You are talking as though Sirius is a charity.
luverly, my money is it will end on green! (Zero is green, we are on it at the moment methinks).
" In my mind there is no doubt the mine will be built and local jobs saved and local area will prosper." - Fred
As much as I would love that to happen, I now have my doubts about the construction too.
Brilliant post Fred. I'm with you on this. I'm hanging in. I don't care what anyone says, or what criticism is levelled my way - it's my choice, it's my investment and it's my belief. I haven't staked more than I can afford to loose. Right or wrong my sentiment is to hold and what will be will be.
It will be either red or black. Just need to wait to see where the ball lands.

Very well put fred16 , business is ruthless and non caring , nail right on the head with that statement ,
Well said Fred, I'm an investor and in for the long haul, this will come good hang in there.

Nicely put fred16.
These are tough times for investors especially those like myself who are all in. But I've said from the start that I will not be selling and I'm sticking to it.
Imo if you have truly written off your investment you would sell esp if you’ve a large holding. It’s hard to write off an investment when so much of what you originally believed in is still in place. Plus I think if anyone investing in a young mining company thought about how much cash was going to be needed no one would ever invest - bearing in mind the additional problems of Brexit and Trump/China that have arisen at this crucial time for Sirius. In my mind there is no doubt the mine will be built and local jobs saved and local area will prosper. The big question is what will happen to SH’s. Whatever anyone says the LTH’s in Sirius who always believed in the project and put their money where their mouth was (and I don’t count me in that) plus all those who live locally have invested in this company, been to local mtgs etc deserve and should still be part of this going forward - however long it has to take for them to get their money back and then make money. There are many first time inexperienced investors - people have put far more in than they should have done, risking their pensions - a mistake that they won’t repeat I’m sure, but for some it’s already too late so hopefully there will be enough time for them. But then Sirius is a unique, almost one-off investment opportunity which is why it’s attracted all the inexperienced pi’s - it has always been about the local area and giving back to the local economy. I don’t care how ‘unbusiness like’ I sound (and who cares bec this is just through my eyes) but i think it is something that if at all possible will be more than considered. We’ve already seen the media reports and it’s been reported nationally - it’s a big story. I think in discussions that are going on now CF and BOD will most definitely be very aware of the genuine investors who were prepared to help in the small way that they could in the early days. If I’m wrong or if the situation isn’t as I think it is then of course all that I’ve written means nothing. Business is non-caring, ruthless and thinks little of emotions but let’s hope in this company that has already proved so many wrong that they can do it again and stick two fingers up at so many on here and in the press that have doubted them
