Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
Thanks, Daramuda, Lovelyboy, yes that was my buy. I understand your explanation - I did know it, I simply forget/get confused at times. No matter how long I look at it, it will not come back into my head, and once frustrated then the issue simply magnifies. Much appreciated lads.
Topped up this morning - another 8000 shares. Can someone please share their wisdom: I initiated the deal, was happy with the price, bought at that price. Why is it showing as a Sell? I know that every transaction involves a buyer and a seller but I cannot recall why this is a Sell.
the beauty of insomnia - came across this video during the night. Only 4 mins length, but listen carefully at around 3 minutes. I have done a little research on Jack Lifton and he is very well respected. Rainbow output through Pensana's Hull facility? 2026?

Addicknt: "The best defensive strategy would be to do a deal with BHP which would require NM to accept we will be a minority shareholder and that he would be put out to pasture."
I have thought this too - perhaps BHP buys Solg except say Solomon Islands division and NM and team pasture there, happy with their sell-out price, their share options, closer to Oz and still emotionally attached to Solgold.
Re: Either it is pure vengeance by WI which will do him and his company no favours...or..
This board is so brilliantly mad today that I read the above sentence and thought why tf are the Women's Institute getting involved.
Hi Costa - Has anybody got NM interview recorded missed it .
The interview is on Solgolds Twitter page - and you can find it also on You Tube too - he was interviewed by Mining Online / Mining Journal if you were to do a search. It is well worth a watch.
Cooncan - Wave theorist here. Currently waving goodbye to tens of thousands £££
Brilliant reply, the funniest reply I have ever seen on this board. I wonder if there is an emoji for tea coming out of one's nostrils from laughing?
riby - spelling as above - then when searching scroll along the navigation bar until you hit "Groups" and then scroll down. You will find it then.
Trinityman -regarding your 8.37 post.
I have contributed little to this BB but have read it every day since buying into Sirius 5 years ago. I have read anything and everything to do with SXX since investing. In all that time I have never read anything so well written and just damn right accurate that I just wanted to say Thank You. I am going to print it off and show that to my wife. She has been fully supportive of my actions as we move forward but I suspect deep down she must be thinking "what a plonker" and being a Sunderland lass I will be getting off lucky with "what a plonker".
I just wish, as you say, the press had reported the matter more fairly, accurately and openly. Yet, I still think the story for us LTH is not over.
Grappa - yes, I agree. As a long term holder, a big loser, still holding 100k of my 500k shares having sold the majority at a significant loss to me and my family - I find it repulsive that decent human beings wish another man dead. This man is both a father and a husband for starters. I am not happy about the situation, not happy about the 5.5p, the readily available takeover, the shorting, the open offer, many things - but come on, wishing someone dead. Haway man!
Scotman - thumbs up from me.
Looks like I was wrong with my hunch for a 3rd Feb RNS concerning a Chinese involvement. But, I agree with FFC CF might just surprise a lot of people.
Perhaps it is all a ruse to change the balance sheet ready for the next stage of SM - in whatever form. Personally, I do not see an AAL 5.5p takeover.
Bellers - Problem......I went in too deep and believed what Frazer said...2 mistakes.:-)
I get completely where you are coming from. I think the only difference appears to be that I am giving Frazer the benefit of doubt on the lack of information we have. I too will be as disappointed and angry as others if it is proven there has been an AAL 'safety net' for some time. My wife always says I see the good in people for too long ... Come the 3rd come the Chinese - I hope.
Modsto - 'surely the lesson you should have learned is to pick your friends more carefully .the only people you should have listened to were those urging caution with SXX '
Nope - I have continually stressed that nobody is to blame other than one's self. I have never blamed anyone for my actions and never will - if I succeed I got there by my skill and ability and conversely. It has nothing to do with choosing friends. When researching a company I will consider many different things and put different weightings to all. Bulletin boards like this offer little real information but it does allow a sense of togetherness (and shared suffering). I have never asked for an opinion on any share purchase just as I am reluctant to offer an opinion to others.
In investing as in life I believe you should be a driver and not a passenger. It makes life much easier when you know you are responsible for your actions, that you are accountable for your actions. Blaming others just keeps the pain fresh.
A reflection on Sirius. I have been off this board for a few weeks now, couldn't cope with the negativity and blame culture that had rooted. During this time I have taken stock. Considered my sxx folly. And I have concluded that I may lose a considerable sum, as there are still risks evident. Yet I remain a believer in CF and the board to deliver the best solution for all. I have become too emotionally attached to this company and held on too long? Guilty - yet I had no qualms in investing more than I would normally have done in a start-up miner with a yet to be proven product if it were not for its location. Irrespective of the spiel of CF and others. Lesson learnt? Partly. I love our part of the country and the people and if I have the opportunity to invest in a project like this I will do so again - only not such a high percentage of my portfolio. I have also considered whether I should have banked profits. Well of course with hindsight we all would have. But when? I did buy a nice car out of the profits as it approached 40p but now my losses are far greater than that. And finally, was I right to average down. Well, again yes and no. It did offer me the opportunity to trade some and to offset some of my losses. It also allowed me to lower my average purchase price and make it feasible that a higher offer for the company could make me break even. Finally - what has the purchase of Sirius Minerals shares taught me? Well above all - on a personal level not a lot about myself and my investment strategy. It has taught me to consider to bank a profit quicker and to try harder not to get too emotionally linked to a project that promises so much to the North East and the people of the North East.
The biggest thing I learned though was a social, psychological one. This bulletin board brought out the very best in people. The fact that people would go out of their way to help newbies, or to answer questions from posters just because they had the answer from their own area of expertise or research. Sometimes it could take ten minutes or more to read these posts, god knows how long it took to type - yet here they were posting to help others make sense of the company and its prospects. Thank you, Myo and the many other dignified and selfless posters of this board. Conversely, I learned that the adult world has its fair share of pure nasty individuals who simply cannot take responsibility for their own actions. Wh simply has to lambast anyone and everyone at every opportunity. Here I am not talking about the last couple of years I am talking much longer than that. But, moving on to the events of the last month - shocking - abhorrent behaviour. Criminal and libelous comments posted at will. Posted when people have not got all the information they need to make a fair judgement. I do not know CF, I have never him, but for God's sake, he is not the Devil Incarnate.
Take responsibility for your own actions - be the driver of your own destiny not a passenge
Me too, I have always thought February 3rd was to be the big day. A significant Chinese investment where we stay on board. Or a bid that blows AAL's offer out of the water, and in doing stops any other from forwarding a bid. The interesting one though remains Polygon's intentions ... Still an awful lot of life in this project to keep me invested.
Fred16 - What on earth have you done to rankle so many and so often. And now, this latest misdemenour - not writing in paragraphs! With all the insults, the rubbish, the libelous statements, and downright lies forwarded the flow of your text is worthy of condemnation. Myo, forget this double-agent malarky, these ramping allegations, and ulterior motives. No, for the abuse you are getting you must surely have ****ed on the pre-disenfranchised Collective's cornflakes. This BB is simply not worth a read no more. As regards to SM shares: I am in and staying that way. As regards to LSE BB: I am out (until the agitators and blindly ignorant have gone).
Good Luck All
Best of British - I feel I need to qualify this statement as it has been hijacked by Butchcasidy - I started the subject with the title Best of British as I felt too many people had been 'defeated' too soon. They had not taken all the relevant information on board or sought ought all avenues forward. When I consider Britishness I consider us to be proud, fair, polite and tolerant. I was dismayed by the lack of it. But, I also consider the best of Britishness to be that 'get up again' spirit. Defiance, self-worth and determination to succeed. The purchasing of the £50 garden shears being a perfect example of that. And, now just a couple of posts further down the line - the same heading is used for spite, intolerance, and unfairness. The antithesis of what it is to be British. Owing to losing money (me £40,000 a life-changing amount) certain posters are trying to petition that the mine be flattened. This act of industrial vandalism would cost thousands of the good folk of North Yorkshire and the surrounding area well-paid jobs - and let us not forget that a lot of these are shareholders too!
Molkys- like that - when does the book come out :-)
Aye, obviously no inference or implication is intended. I did once think about writing a film script in the mood/genre of Whisky Galore/Local Hero for the £1 Party. I had great fun sketching out the characters - Myo, PAAA, et al. Alas, ...
Come to think about it again - it is such a shame just to miss out on characterising Illbetapenny
