Couldn't agree more. What a shame that a poster feels the need to use such a term.
Probably not, but it can b frustrating to see this site and others used for what are really unrelated subjects/ topics
Special needs? Totally unnecessary.
Roach 12 Don’t understand the abuse comment. The site is for investor sentiment etc, not a service complaint site or trip advisor!
Have an opinion by all means but no need to be abusive.
Wow - this must be a brilliant company. According to TP only 200 unsatisfied customers out of 8 million.
Keep taking the tablets & try to keep your post relevant to investor interests rather than grinding your axe please Special(needs)666.
The TP 1 stars keep coming, and it's just the tip of the iceberg. Surely the FT will be investigating them soon enough!
They can't bill businesses properly, their departments are segmented so you cant actually get anything resolved. They're not recognising fixed contracts. they truly are a disgraceful excuse for a company.
One small slice more (& into small top up of UK insurers).
SSE doing v nicely recently, wonder if there is a little stake-building going on.
Driftking, you promised us a much lower SSE sp and its only gone up since then.
Why take anything you say seriously?
Trimmed a couple, but remaining comfortably long.
Still ,since October SSE is underperforming NG. I still believe investors would rather invest in NG over SSE no matter what.
The outperformance with NG started last summer. Could be the dividend yield that’s helping
Maybe worth keeping a tab on the TP site imo.
SSE are responsible for commercial, not resi (which is OVO).
Hi traxxas,
Yes, OVO did take on SSE's residential customers - I was one of them. I don't know about commercial customers.
Although taken over by OVO, it was still branded as SSE for quite a long time before it eventually was re-branded as OVO so the appearance of the bills, etc changed.
I was somewhat puzzled by Special666's comments, given the numbers being quoted.
Did OVO take on SSE's commercial and residential customers?
It's there new system that has caused the issue, they're in a right mess. Try calling them and see if anyone answers...
This is going to be a massive story.
Sorry wrong link given, got bothered by all the Ads on here and screen hopping about.

Special666, had a look at
https://www.tipranks.com/stocks/gb:ezj/forecast#google_vignette
and nothing too concerning there. Yes, 1.2 score on Trust Pilot, but 99% of posters to Trust Pilot re a Utility company only do so if they are unhappy with a company. The comments/feedback were nothing untypical for such a company. After all, SSE has c 8,000,000 UK customers so a handful complaining is irrelevant.
I've just closed the last remnants of my position here, (608 sold today) which a couple of years ago I would have said would never happen. It has been a good stock for me and with dividends it's given me a very good return, but I think for the next couple of years my money would be better working elsewhere. I still like the nature of the stock and its underlying qualities. When not if things change I hope to hold SSE again.

Sitting patiently for the update to say they've seriously messed all of their commercial customers around and are in breach of contract. This is going down big time, class action will commence against this company imo. Look at trust piolet if you don't believe me.
National Grid still outperforms SSE over 1yr, 6months, YTD, 3months 1month and 1week
I believe it’s due to having that higher yield that is keeping holders happier?
Jamboroar, maybe SSE Investor Relations could help you because they have historical data going way back surely ?
Thanks 240p is all I can get to for the original purchase too and I can't find anything that says the merger created a CGT event which would have applied at the time so will need to go with that and stagger sales to stay within CGT allowance. Thanks for replying
I have the original purchase price in 1991 as 240p in my records.
Can't help with the merger, I don't even understand my own notes on it!
Hi, does anyone have to hand the purchase cost to be used on a disposal of SSE for an original Scottish Hydro shareholder from day 1. Was the merger in 1998 a capital gains triggering event? Thanks in anticipation
