I hope u are all right! I’m focussed on getting back to 0.30 at the minute!! The rest would be a bonus. We were in these talks on the share chats 3 years ago and it was all very exciting. I hope PC hasn’t pulled the wool over our eyes again in his last interview….. 3 months time we may have news on CS. It’s been a while since any update …..
2p minimum plus a dividend to investors . Less than that I'd view as a failure in achieving shareholder value
That’s a really interesting question Safe and the only reason why we’re all here, but it’s rarely discussed. Largely because the reality is probably beyond the expectations of most on here and wouldn't be believed. I’d love to give you my take on the stand alone value of the CS Project and our other projects, for which we’ve got basic information, to give an overall company valuation, but I just don’t think you would take it seriously.
What I am prepared to say is the starting point for the CS Project is:
14,500,000 tons of raw Pozzolan @ a current value of somewhere between $100 - $150 per ton.
1,300,000 tons of raw Perlite @ a current value of somewhere between $100 - $150 per ton.
Plus the North East Zone which measures/equates to approximately a further 60% of the above.
The set up costs for a dedicated on-site production facility is around $40m.
Mineral extraction is largely “free dig” so mining costs are low.
So the approximate current value of the CS Project reserves in the ground are between $1.5 billion & $2.3 billion and if you add in the North East Zone it rises to between $2.5 billion and $3.7 billion.
Beyond that we have further significant high quality Pozzolan/Perlie reserves at Hazen, New Perl, Jackson and a mixed mineral find at Reece Ridge together with Sepiolite at Pioche which we all know about.
Tot it up and do some simple calculations. The reality is far greater than 10 x current market cap on the CS Project alone.
I hope that helps.
What do you think we could achieve for selling the whole company now, or if we even just sold the CS Project ?
I asked PC at the AGM why Tolsa needed extra time if the drilling results were so good, and why they agreed to paying the extra money. It didn’t make logical sense and it obviously doesn’t to you 1wager. I was happy with the response, that there is nothing sinister, more to do with the complications around the grades and the Spanish attitude. Our agent is a bit of an expert, well connected, and there would be others who would be happy to buy the reserve! Backed up that PC negotiated a higher purchase price! We sit and wait.
Shame I wasn’t getting involved now with the SP 6 x lower than when I first invested. Far too much would be required to bring the average down to something reasonable.
This money was never going to be ‘thrown’ as SRES. SRES will be a provider of raw materials to these type of organisations, hopefully.
The fact that these alternative solutions are getting funding is great.
Massive amounts of money been thrown about and all still very quiet for SRES and Pozzolan. Makes u wonder if they don’t want to go down this road! I’m hoping we get communication on why TOLSA needed extra time aswel. Would be nice to get the money before December if they just needed a few more month to test!! Once again very poor communication.
Who is the largest manufacturers of Natural Pozzolan Market worldwide?
Vulcan Ceramics Co Pvt Ltd
Sunrise Resources plc
IMERYS
Hess Pumice Incorporated
Nevada Cement Company
Burgess Pigment Company
CARBO Ceramics Inc.
I-Minerals Inc.
Kirkland Mining Company
Charah Solutions, Inc.
CR Minerals Company, LLC
Thanks for sharing, it plainly explains the direction of travel. With a SRES current valuation of 2m, it is a good risk reward ratio. We should have a million coming from Tolsa in December, which makes the risk reward ration even better. Just need the deal!
Everybody seems to be having money thrown at them apart from SRES.
Very good news indeed, thank you for your research and for sharing Terrafin
The US Government is now throwing money to help fast track new co2 friendly cement - its all good new folks !:
US Department of Energy grants funding to four cement producers
26 March 2024
The US Department of Energy has selected four cement producers to receive funding under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act.
Heidelberg Materials US secured up to US$500m for its planned 2Mt/yr carbon capture project at the Mitchell cement plant in Indiana.
National Cement also received up to US$500m, for its Lebec Net Zero limestone calcined clay cement (LC3) project in California.
Summit Materials received up to US$216m for a series of clay calcination projects in Georgia, Maryland and Texas.
Lastly, Roanoke Cement will receive up to US$61.7m for an LC3 project at its Troutville cement plant in Virginia.
Senior vice president of government affairs Sean O'Neill “From passage of the Bipartisan Energy Act of 2020 to securing funding through the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, today's announcement is another major milestone in the cement industry's decarbonisation efforts. The PCA is committed to continuing to work with policymakers to ensure the regulatory environment facilitates rather than impedes these and future investments.
Thanks terrafin. I lost my old login details here so started another but have been reading peoples posts the last year. Fingers crossed. I would like an update on why TOLSA extended also. But CS is the big one
1wager
- this is just an example of one company looking at a new way to produce Co2 friendly cement .
- there are many different ways and companies including the cement big boys are changing the materials they are going to be using going forward and blending with pozzolan is certainly a good option for them.
- the more I read the more I see the industry making a change.
- this could well be our year and yours as I fully expect the SP to go well beyond 0.28 when things start moving here :)
Are we thinking they will want pozz in the process of this new green cement? I’ve been in this share for a while and bought in at 0.28 quite heavily so I’m massively down. I’m waiting for the tide to turn and it’s been a rough ride the last few years seeing the SP plummet?
No one else thinking why they picked Reno
- I suspect they will need substantial volumes of Pozz - happy days :) time to load up folks the tide is rapidly changing here ..... tick tock
Interesting ........
Brimstone negotiates funding for new cement plant with US Department of Energy
26 March 2024
Brimstone is negotiating a US$189m Federal award with the Department of Energy to finance the construction of a new decarbonised cement plant. This plant will produce up to 140,000t/yr of Ordinary Portland Cement and supplementary cementitious materials, reducing CO₂ emissions by 120,000t/yr.
Brimstone's process uses carbon-free calcium silicate rocks, reducing its CO₂ footprint. In July 2023, Brimstone's cement met ASTM C150 standards, confirming the effectiveness of its decarbonised process. The company is preparing to construct a pilot plant near Reno, Nevada.

Deals are being done in Europe:
Titan Cement International buys Vezirhan pozzolana quarry
30 January 2024
Turkey: Titan Cement International (TCI) has acquired concession rights to the Vezirhan pozzolana quarry in East Marmara. The quarry will help TCI to expand its low-carbon cement production capacity. By 2030, the company aims to reduce its CO2 emissions by 35% from 1990 levels, and include 50% green products in its portfolio.
Titan Group Eastern Mediterranean regional director Christos Panagopoulos said “Access to Vezirhan quarry’s strong reserves potential and high-quality material will allow Titan to further broaden the portfolio of low-carbon cementitious products available to its customers. The quarry has access to a deep port and railway transport, facilitating both land and seaborne distribution across Titan's global locations.”
Group chief sustainability and innovation officer Leonidas Canellopoulos said “Being future-ready for a net zero world is more than just an ambition for Titan, and the acquisition of concession rights in Vezirhan is part of our solid roadmap that entails over 100 initiatives, covering the entire scope of our geographic operations and span of our value chain.”
