Lucky my slice in ISA limit did not lift yesterday at 276p .
The motley article below will help .
Only seems like yesterday that a roll of toilet paper was worth more then a barrel of oil , looking back its was like the emperor with no cloths on story .
It is true what the wise say about common sense .
Not much chat on here compared to other LSE boards .
Sliced in ISA at 287.9p set around 10am above previous high , lifted wile on Thursday train up to charring X
Got a tranche back for 275p ( D ) Just missed a same size slice on ( W ) at 292p high on open . ( 6.5% swing )
More talk and possible trading today .
And all back in ISA for 267.89p ( TYJ )
Ripley, Are you able to enter buy orders that expire on the same day, and by the sounds of it at a specific time? What platform please, that sounds handy. (Mine have to be +1 working day) i.e. today then Monday.
Hi Dartron who are you with ?
Never heard of your type sounds odd , Jarvis , degiro , Bell just to name three , you can place limit orders for free and take off again next min if you wish , I web charge £2 ( 90 day if you wish ) but free in ISA again take of next min if you please .
Thanks. Best invest (Which isn't really aimed at frequent trading). If you do a limit order, you have to enter a minimum of 1 day that it is valid for, but that is the current day plus the minimum you stipulate. You can try and cancel them, but some times that doesn't work or can take many hours, so I don't rely on being able to cancel. I normally use the limit order when I am getting NT on my platform, and I set a price that I will get more or less immediately. I have set up an IG account, last week but not used yet as not added funds. Another annoyance of Best Invest is that it does not update with new stocks, so I see a great stock and then I cant buy it because its too new (like 18 months and still not added). It has my SIPP in it, so not going to move it, but will start using the IG account soon. Was just interested, thanks.
I bought funds over 30 years ago with allenbridge who I think were taken over by best invest , they used to get a cut each year from the fund manager never new they did share dealing , is there a live 15 sec countdown ?
Just looked at you pie chart Dartron I own the large majority of the shares it says you post on .
Cheers Ripley. hoping for a good day here and on the markets but not sure which way it will go today!
It went both ways I managed to sell some @ 286.83 In the morning , got them back 270p but made a mistake with a buy limit on Iweb , I find that an awkward platform . it is swinging about 6.5% each day these past few days .
Please do not read anything into what I am doing , as I am just moving from one broker to another trying to better the transfer charge .
It is crazy that on Friday I bought for 268, yet once the bad news was announced the price was 277. That makes no sense at all. I hope the price cools off a bit, to facilitate buying more back. I think it will over a 2 week period.
It's manufactured just like the shut in. We are a all pawns in their ego cistic games.
I just hope that the Ukrainian people will somehow get some benefit from the latest games being played out
Sold that mistake buy of yesterday for 287.56p only so I could raise some more funds to top another I hold and want to add to at low Russia prices .
Blocked from buying any Russian shares on ( D ) .
So its all the gambling in the ISA .
Sold another two tranches one In the ISA to fund more EAU buys ( that might not so good in the future if they both keep going in opposite direction , but it worked on Thursday /Friday of last week )
I need to reduce this one , I hope it does reach today's broker target , not far off the £3
Sold the tranche a bought back in ( D ) yesterday for 294p the mistake on Iweb yesterday 75% of a 9% gain lost .
But might of off loaded that at 287.56 , big swings here since last Thursday, that is 4 trading days running .
Above shows today 276.5 to 295 bit more then yesterdays 6.5% swing .
A sell order left on with Iweb overnight lifted before I logged on this morning 8.05 , for 302p on a 297 limit , sold another soon after for 309p .
At 10.49am got yesterdays sale in ( D ) back a penny cheaper at 293p, would of got another at 290p but the low was just above .
A swing of 6% again .
Got some back 290p
And again at 285p
Losing track here as different accounts .
Just a refresher for myself .

Two trades a day it seems, ripley - what's the point of posting all that? Bet your broker or trading platform is pleased.
Prefer to hold on to something good, myself, unless the fundamentals deteriorate but each to his own , I guess - sasa.
Sold in ( W ) 319.28p
Just had a look at your last two posts sasa43 , there is no useful information in them .
My broker charges £2 per deal why post sarcastic remarks , Jealousy I assume .
And I made no deals at all on Friday truth be known .
Ripley - The LTH on here will not be interested in your trading. Sasa43 has been making interesting and informed comment on here for many years. I do not read them as ever being sarcastic, in fact they are considered and well balanced in my opinion. Good Luck with your investments but perhaps keep your individual trading to yourself.
A juvenile response, ripley - jealousy, really? Have been in this over ten years now; I'd be very surprised if your 'wheeling and dealing' like a dervish comes close to the sp's performance over the past decade... sasa.
I am a LTH what on earth made you two troubledseller and sasa43 come to the conclusion I was not .
Have another little think both of you .
