From the circular...days are numbered...hopefully... 10. Board structure and corporate governance. The composition of the Board will remain unchanged for the period up to Cancellation. However, it is a possibility that the Board undergoes a restructuring following the completion of the Investment and Cancellation.
Agreed Del...your summary a more reasoned view than my hyperbole! I must learn to 'not get carried away'! It's the celt blood in me....
All I am betting on JL at this stage is that it will come back abetter animal in a few years time or it will be sold on privately to a device company...once it has all its whistles and bells finished....That is all I am betting on. I am expecting nothing this side of delisting...if (and a big if) something does come a long I will review my position. But to me its lights out for now...and hopefully we may get some updates as a private company......we can but hope...
No no...Def not trading it down to sub 4...possibly... No a lth of between 3-5 yrs... as it stands now your betting on red or black. The sp has long since had no bearing on the Co value apart from putting us in the knackers yard! Jeez 6-5-4-3-2-1 who gives a osst? Why on earth should one attribute a value to Sphere on the brink of going private and zero sales? It's worthless guys...get used to it. Would I believe a 10 value?...No! Would i believe a 10 value in 5 yrs?..hmm not sure given the poss huge dilution. For obvious reasons, we're heading into the darksphere and nobody but nobody knows the state of play in 2020 and thats even if we're Stateside which is a very very long shot probably 33/1. So way too many doubts to be sure of anything. So im hoping those hospitals that have completed their tests are about to place orders for P4 to keep us ticking over. Cannot rule out that they may prefer to be luddite about it and stick with the b/top technology. The UK ain't got with the programme...(no surprise there) Europe ain't got with the programme...(big surprise there?.... well maybe not considering those NEDs (jobs for the boys) were a waste of effn time!) So why the uckf should the US even give a failed UK start up the time of day?
cellis you back plenty of 25-1 shots , the trouble is I think they'll win , that's why I'm not investing , but having said that , the years plus more likely min. if four is the main reason plus the £500-800 punt would go a long way towards a better bike ! , not cycling weather today though !
Thanks guys. I am yhinking £500 and keep it till boom or bust - staying in when it goes private. Thanks pl
If by value you mean trade it for the remainder of its days as a public listed company...not sure as any % gain or loss will most likely be fairly rapid. But I imagine a few will try and trade it.... If you mean punt for a few years as a private company?....Possibly.......
P-K Returns...you might be better off punting red or black down at your local casino...? Value as far as Sphere is concerned is very much in the eye of the beholder, I see value but lots need to go right and i certainly wouldn't give you advice or a tip as I don't take my own advice! I'm factoring in 3-5 barring any offer So are you prepared to tie up £500 for that period? If so it's no more than a 45/55 bet imo, talk of this being a multi bagger are wide of the mark imo. I'd be very happy to break even given the huge hurdles ahead. There must be better opportunities/ short term punts elsewhere! If your at a loss as to what to do...go with your gut feeling...worked for me in the past....obviously not bloody here!
Is their value for new shareholders to put money in at this price as a punt? I am talking no more than £500. Any thoughts? Gl pk
Renken and BoD completely destroyed shareholder value, right off the back of a fundraise with all the promises and nothing seems to have happened as a consequence. At leat Woodford had the decency to apologise!
Highest vols ever c 40.850m over c 247 bargains, shares u/c over wk at 0.675....for what it's worth...... not a lot. Pleased I won't have to bother commenting on the decline of Sphere anymore! Have a good one all.
Morning Del...so keep the buggers in the dark...eh? They are now truly a law unto themselves. I'm mega issped off that we have not heard of any management changes! Easy way to find out since this is obviously a State Secret....ring up Sphere in a months time and ask for Dr Rencken. The operative word now is 'privacy' heh heh heh!!
Morning JL... I would think thats it....Not sure why they use 18 months as a time line...but I am now only expecting some updates after the full year....which I think comes out within 6 months of year end...other wise...no news updates on anything really... No updates on financing, developments.....if warrants have been taken up....would not even expect anything on the 2sd investment round... The company has now in effect gone private, albeit in a few days time... Management changes or any of the above have to made public anymore..
I wasn't surprised that LSP stayed on board as they were one of our longest holding iis. Ortho was. I kinda assumed they'd be gone along with the others. Inc Winterflood (new) iis are in for c 65%. Ortho & Winterflood might purchase the CPS can't remember whether LSP declined or were part of the whitewash? Whatever some 18.55% of outstanding (26.040m) voted FOR and only 250k for NO. So unanimous the 1/10 on shot coming through. You will note that anytime in the next 18 months (from cancellation) you will be able to trade your shares through Sphere who will assist you in finding a buyer/seller... but that's it. Not sure why it's limited to 18 months but can guess! I think there is still one outstanding piece of business to conduct.....the H/Y report. Anyone think we'll receive this before delisting? Or was that it?
All looks rosey, everything great, we made fantastic progress, we justify £200k salary on £30k sales. What a crowd of complete ........!
Just when you think this management and BoD can't get any worse, they pull something out of the bag. Complete and utter failure to deliver on their promises and then complete failure to communicate news that is of paramount importance to us pis. Frankly, they deserve all they get (other than the vast salaries of course!)
Well it looks like Ortho and LPS may be following some of us back into a private company.... http://www.spheremedical.com/investor-relations/share-holder-information/shareholders
Which you can afford to lose
So sorry to hear that. Sometimes when the writing is on the wall it is better to sell. But we often find it difficult to sell at a loss as some shares do recover, but then there is the other scenario of no recovery. Hopefully sphr will recover better as a private company and deliver some shareholder value. As the old aim saying goes, only put in what you can afford but im sure were all guilty of over stretching ourselves. Wish you and other holders atb. Gl pk
It will be interesting to see what changes Woodford drives though. If he does not drive change it will be all over. However, given some of his other recent failures, I would hope that he does have a strategy to drive value for those who have entrusted their money to invest on their behalf. I do feel for you and others who have a lot of money here. My investment in this share has been modest to date. I have purchased some more shares this week go get my average down below the new investment level, and will stay in this share as it migrates from AIM, in the hope that in several years time, there may be a new IPO.
I most certainly did. Of course it ain't over till the fat lady sings...so there is hope even though I may not be a beneficiary. Tomorrow when I have calmed down I might be able to view today's events slightly more dispassionately or certainly with a less jaundiced view. I think on reflection my bigest disappointment is that I have been so consistently wrong on this stock always giving the bod and the device the benefit of many of my concerns...it will turn out okay...hold for the long term... Its the NHS....done down by the system...no sales....Rencken's strategy will pay off, etc etc..when the sp was screaming sell out I was av down to extinction. Not clever! C'est la vie. Tomorrow I'll be back to my bullish self and all's right with the world.
I hope you didnt have most of your money/savings in here. Pk
Quite a bit more Del tbh. I know the remit of the meeting was narrow and they probably were not much interested in commenting on anything else. Tim might have something to say about that? However and I'm probably fantasising here I'd have liked to have seen some management changes announced..... at the very least. How is one expected to proceed from here? Is it on the basis of "we're going private and if you don't like it... ubergg off" From the tone of the RNS I'm not expecting any further news and that's not really good enough if I'm to be locked in for the next 5+ years. Cashing out at a huge loss (for me) appeals more and more that is one option. The other is to transfer my shares to family so I can be rid of this for evermore. I have spent far too much of my declining years wedded to this stock in the vain hope that someone somewhere knew Wtf they we're doing. My fault, despite my real doubts I let my heart rule my head. Let that be a warning to any younger investors in Sphere.
What were you expecting JL? It was a formal meeting to vote for cancelling and going private. Nothing else. They were certainly not giving updates for heaven's sake. Selling has been scaled back. I understand your frustration and share it. We now have about 7 days to sell..hold or buy. Based on what your view is. The board are most likely been given their months notice... But we now have £5m.....
You see, here I am a**** one or two other deluded souls banging on about a brill device akin to the MOB (in the BGA field) which should have had a stellar future...and nobody but nobody GAF! W&E, the bod, the Medicos, dumbfounded investors, NED's (what did they ever do?), Concillium (what did they ever do?) I'll try and think of some others... no bloody wonder this Co is for the knackers yard....as far as your holding is concerned. Oh well I have run out of puff now too downhearted to think straight so accept my rantings as from one irate issepd off holder.
