Morning John , if you take out the machines , which a reduction to this level would virtually do , the balance of shop turnover are mainly football bets. horse racing and greyhound betting is not what it use to be , as a result nearly all high streets betting shops would disappear . The biggest single change in betting shop turnover was the extension to pub opening hours , at 3.oclock each day my shop would full to bursting , and a good number 10/15% weren't "gamblers" like you and I but they popped in with their mates and had a couple of bets on their way home .The second biggest fall in turnover was the introduction of the lottery , which also hit the football pools for six , I know customer who never returned and when I was out and about and dumped into them I asked them why , thinking I might have upset then , or another customer , no it was the lottery , it's very very rare now to go into a betting shop now after 3 o'clock and find more than two or three people in , I would say football bets midweek and Saturdays would out weigh horse racing bets but the turnover on these alone won't keep shop open
Octopuz Market men , you've either joking or never been down a market , men selling fruit and veg from their barrows/market stalls , in days of old when knights were bold , the market stalls had wheels on ..joking apart Del's post last night look real tempting but I've resisted!
I'm not investing , but will be watching with interest , good luck .
I was watching on Quest yesterday they were showing the manufacture of cash machines , and all the latest tech , skimming was the main cause of fraud , the new machines now emits a blocking signal so the skimming devices can't read the cards details , the $5 billion figure came from that program so I'm assuming it's correct
Sound like fraud to me , don't touch it with a barge pole , there's too many criminals about , over $ 5 billion was fraudulently stolen via cash machines in the US , keep your money under the pillow or in your sock drawer you've been warned
Del , youve added more shares , good luck and thanks for this sharing this interesting journey this last 2.1/2 years ,
Can always catch up with you on SPO or will sign up the ADVFN , I've enjoyed our chats sadly all too often it's all been about bad news

Just picked by ITV7 horses - off to Derby to look after grandkids , --remembering when I was 9 or 10 Dad said pick some horses, so I went down the races in the newspaper and marked off one in each race , hard to believe I know 32 races I picked 23 bloody winners and only about 4 weren't placed , must have lost my touch -ITV7 best so far 3 winners
Charges me £10.50 a quarter to run my account , same for purchases and £29.95 to sell if I bought in buy the time 4/5 years of costs plus my carry over losses and will i live long enough to see a profit I don't know , John said he'd leave it to his heirs , sod that I'd like it for myself first , and can a revamped P4 succeed , unless Woodford has pulled a fast one I can't see it , maybe the attitude needed is a more predominant US get up and go rather than a British more conservative approach "if it's not broken " etc . I shall be keeping my fingers crossed for you
Thought as much ,---- I hate to correct you again John , but it was The Lone Ranger and Tonto , but I guess Trigger helped out ,he certainly matched them , but only in the leg department , his four legs match their four ! !
John 102m shares haven't been traded , 51m have been sold and bought by others ,that's 36% of the company , I think the time scale won't be as long as you imagine ,18 months has passed since P4 was presented for certification so I could see P4+ ready for approval in 6-9 months ! I think this new funding will be the last , IMO Woodford thinks that will be enough to get it to the market and get enough feedback to either close it down or otherwise
Sphere Medical and scroll down the links ie ISE and Proactive or The Stockexchange , we have our names on the LSE web link , it's the PK post thanking myself Del and John for our help !
Your contradicting yourself , you said 4 years minimum, do you know what your talking about , obviously not , you hadn't taken into account the time since April 2016 ,I know you think the board was laxed but I'm sure they would let the boffins play cards all day to while away the hours , not 70 of them , wake up man ! They've been hard at work adding buttons , switches , flashing lights and alarm bells
P4 got its certification Dec.2016 the process of certification took at least 8 months , so since April/May 2016 development of Proxima must have gathered a pace , this and the lack of interest by UK/European hospitals must have been the reason why P4 has been all but curtailed , at best P4 plus or P5 may well be ready for Certification or the US equivalent by 3rd quarter 2018 , I can't see it being any sooner but that may well turn out to be 3rd quarter 2019 ! Nobody knows , better ring Woodford he might or will be able to give you a better idea
cellis you back plenty of 25-1 shots , the trouble is I think they'll win , that's why I'm not investing , but having said that , the years plus more likely min. if four is the main reason plus the £500-800 punt would go a long way towards a better bike ! , not cycling weather today though !
it's been great taking this journey with you but it ends for me , wishing your all the best , here with Sphere , at the races , last man standing and chasing the nurses around the wards .
Was that you snapping up all those shares , I was worried about holding shares in the wake of , Korea , I'm expecting Trump getting a 9/11 or Thanksgiving Day present from Kim , bailed out , I made a choice early last year on the price of oil , that cost me money , gut feeling worked on Sphere but was still a loser , and selling my other shares yesterday cost me nothing ie broke even , but they were nearly up 20% today ! May look at buying to a Traded Option on the Footsie if I'm correct there may be none alive to pay me out , which about sums up my luck
There's nothing I can say , John and Del , as John said throwing good money after bad it's stupid , if Woodford manages to succeed , you'll probably get your money back and even make money ,so it's not worth throwing more money in , , but to be honest Woodford is doing exactly the same thing , just can't see it working , £70m down the drain to virtually start over again , I'm not interested anymore, yes I'll keep watching and hoping for you and others it works out , it's torn the heart out of investing for me , was Proxima a good thing , well the It didn't get the yes vote., I was lucky to get out when I did , 6.55p ---- Kim Yung prat head could make any decision irrelevant, will China have the common sense or balls to stop him !
