Well, as you must know, some posters are saying that the seismic is unreliable, which naturally means that no-one would be interested in buying Tendrara.
BM didn't mention seismic, it was a general comment, so I've intepreted it as meaning the whole package, basin modeling and seismics otherwise I think he would have been more specific. That's my recollection.
Sorry, Z-cars, but my recollection was rather hazy.
Yes, I remember that remark, but wasn't the work to which he referred the work on the seismic?
Longwait, this was a reply to someones email, which sounds authentic being a backslapping comment from BM, when he said that there were over 10 interested parties in SOU and that they were very happy with work carried out by the team, and this would speed up the process leading to an offer if one is made.
'the interested parties have said that they are happy with the work carried out by the BM team.'
Can you please explain?
Are you referring to a comment made by a SOU director that the independent estimates were accepted?
There is a accepted standard model which SOU uses that proves how much oil and gas there is and and how much is recoverable, the interested parties have said that they are happy with the work carried out by the BM team.
The gas discovered by Sound is extremely valuable. It is 30tcf of the non flammable kind. You can put it all in a basin and crash as many drones as you like into it and nothing will happen. Brian keeps 6tcf tucked under his belt, close to tobacco pouches and pipe, so it must be safe. Rejoice.
" but the oil and gas is there," ---- Well Sound couldnt find it so why would any oil major touch this given the state of the art exploration Sound are supposed to have done ????????????
The oil majors are nolonger looking for frontier mega oil discoveries because the oil price does not warrant it, they are looking for meaningful resources in stable enviroments that are easy to exploit and these are becoming more difficult to find, Morocco fits the bill. OK the geogology isn't the best, but the oil and gas is there, and there's not much low hanging fruit to pick which explains the level of interest in SOU. The world can't afford to rely on Saudi oil any more, because it is becoming more expose to sophisticated terrorist attacks.
'Oil has been hit so perhaps gas price increases a tad, but as both are closely linked I do not foresee a big spike in gas.'
I don't get that.
If oil prices rise sharply, and gas prices are linked to oil prices, then gas prices should rise sharply.
Chuckle Energy plc., the downmarket, downstream, onshore Cypriot methane extraction company is PLEASED to announce that as of October 1st, 2019 the Board Of Directors have agreed a cumulative reduction in their salaries by 29%. JezTheFez, CEO and Chairman of Chuckle, commented, "Due to unforeseen circumstances pertaining to an under supply in spam and an over supply in hot air, we have been forced to embark on a cost cutting exercise in an attempt to maintain operations at #CHUK. We have recently taken on extra staff and this has only added to our expenses, but I have no intention to reduce staff numbers at this stage in time. I will endeavour to update the market in due course once our financial situation has somewhat recovered. Until then, I thank all three shareholders for their continued support."
Agreed! JP can be a bit of ‘Nana’ sometimes. With spiraling debt at Chuckle Energy Plc, we recommend these guys:

Apologies in advance for some of the OTT Text!
Just a general question. Do the drone attacks in Saudi help to revalue the worth of Sound?
LTH. Read the boards. Don't generally post
We've considered holding a splash cat on the Thames sailing with Chuckle event, but our current funds only allow for a couple of lilos I'm afraid. I wish we could also stand up in front of our investors and promise 6 tcf by this time next year, but I can't see that happening somehow. Mind you, with the amount of gas I am producing this morning, it sounds like the rumble in the jungle at Chuckle HQ today. Think I might ask JTF for some empty bottles if you catch my drift..?
Sounds like a dodgy company.
I've never seen an RNS containing a '?!' before.
Also, its CEO seems to lack confidence about Chuckle's future.
Maybe Chuckle should consider inviting JP to join its BOD as soon as he becomes available and use his promotional skills to present spam in a more favourable light, possibly with a spam event on the Thames.
As Crude will tell you, we're a downmarket, downstream ailing methane extraction company with our HQ above a chip shop. Unfortunately, we do not have the capital available to cover our staff expenses and we are reluctant to go back to the market and raise equity. There is a death spiral loan available to us via Enagas, which is sitting on our desk though!! Remuneration will be very much in the form of spam, deep fried Haribos and hot air i.e. farts. I hope you understand?! Welcome on board.

Jez. I am honoured by my appointment as "Promotions Officer" which I take very seriously. So much so that I immediately set off for Lake Garda at Malcesine in Italy and the Hotel Bellevue San Lorenzo a place as perfect as you can get this side of heaven.
Perhaps you will kindly let me know if I can claim this on my expenseses with Chuckle Energy plc..
I have to report that there is a lot of hot air here, but no Gas detected so far. This may change in the next 18 months and there could be as much gas as there is water here in the Lake! It will change lives and be an inheritance for your family. Sorry that I cannot reveal more but it's against AIM rules. Just keep giving me money by buying shares and I'll promise to have a fireside chat with you some time in the next 18 months or a luxury venue with lots of pop-corn I think I still have some left from the Thames trip but Dave did eat more than his fair share, due to his silence I think it must have stuck in his throat.
Gasbag, never forgetting Mrs Gasbag (how could I) who is taking a break from the Royal Courts of Justice.
Correction... “the same day as our AGM”.
And in this new found spirit of sticking to the actual facts..... is anyone here by chance subscribed to the online business paper “African Intelligence”? I came across the following article which may provide further insight into the consortium which is due to build and operate SOU’s pipeline. However I’m not subscribed so could only access the first couple of lines... which read as follows:-
“Fomento sets up subsidiary for Sound Energy pipeline contract - Africa Intelligence
23 May 2019 · A year after having won the front-end engineering design (FEED) contract for the Tendrara gas pipeline alongside fellow Spanish companies Enagas and Elecnor ( AEI 819), Fomento is getting down to.....” Maybe of relevance or not, the article was published the day after SOU announced its intention to market Tendrara and the same time day as our AGM.
Good facts Trellis.
Welcome Mert. You'll have to buy a fez now. Others are also welcome so long as they don't take us all seriously and have some fun. You can't please 'em all, but hopefully most people don't take what we say too much to heart. They are only opinions and that's it. We try and avoid being abusive towards fellow investors as that is not our style. Some on here go out of their way to be nasty and rude and I think there is no place for that on this bb. True, we have been harsh about the SOU BOD, but we are all ultimately chasing the same reward and that is a decent LE. The BOD hasn't made this easy as of late IMHO and that is why they continue to receive our frustrated comments.
Brill News and Proud to be on board ... Yer ... Yer ... etc ... !!!
Crude - that's because all of the debt sits with SM and not Tendrara. Selling Tendrara if they manage to find a buyer, will in theory keep the company afloat for a while longer. I would ideally like to see a complete sale of the company, but I suspect that this is unlikely to happen.
OK Mert I have consulted with STZ and we are DELIGHTED to welcome you on board as PRESS OFFICER for Chuckle Energy plc. We are very impressed with your good humour and references to funny images, so you have passed the test. The Board of Chuckle is currently as follows:
JezTheFez - CEO and Chairman
SimonTheZealot - Head Of Exploration
Treliis - Head of Alcohol & Entertainment
Wannabe 5 - Extraction Officer
Gasbag - Promotions Officer
Crudehope - Head of Positivity & Chief Salt Thrower
Mert - Press Officer
If anybody else would like to join our motley crew, then let me know. It will be us that have the most fun at the forthcoming LE parties.
JTF
Jez, at least we have a valid reason for the silence.
I asked James for a quote the other day...I said there must be something you can say that I could post. - he said "sure, wer're running a marketing process for East Morocco". But actually that is interesting because it defines what we are trying to sell: Tendrara - but seemingly not Sidi Moktar! Interesting...............
