OK - thanks OliG and Benbay01. Still no sign of mine, but at least I know the company is not at fault. Will query it with AJBell...
Same as OliG
I’m with ii and received mine on Monday. It’s in USD so when I looked at transaction history it wasn’t immediately obvious because it shows GBP transactions as the default and I had to click USD to show it.
The most recent dividend payment was due last Friday (6th), but mine hasn't arrived. Is it just me?
Belated reply. If your broker is registered with the IRS in the United States you will get the correct treatment applied according to the wrapper that the shares are held in. For example Interactive investor responded to me when I checked with them as follows:
“For an ordinary dividend from a US incorporated company, such as Somero, held within a SIPP account, dividends are received without the deduction of US tax as we are a Qualifying Intermediary with the IRS.”
I believe ISAs maybe treated differently.

Hallo everybody, i'm an Italian investor, Somero is listed in the UK market, and it 's physically located in Usa(Florida). will i pay a double tax on dividend?
The normal NT effect taken hold today.

Missed the low on Monday but bought some more for my wife's ISA , I've held these for some years brilliant company worth far more than the current price. Low P/E lots of dividends , what's not to like.
Benbay
As I see it war and a tanking stock market doesn't discriminate between good shares and poor shares, everything gets sold off including great laser equipment manufacturing companies, especially those where people are holding a decent profit. I like to think I was rational enough to realise this early but buy them back before what I foresaw as a great update, any other inaction and bewilderment is just rabbit in headlights mentality unfortunately, and equally ignorant
At a guess this is a popular and as AIM shares go a fairly liquid one. So in the rush for the exits, SOM is sold off by the City teenage scribblers as most AIM shares are illiquid.
Threeputt, thats getting on for one of the most ignorant responses ive seen on a forum.
Somero is down over 30% from its high, despite a trading update that revised earning yet higher.
During the same time the ftse all share is down 10%, an index full of companies far more exposed to events in Ukraine!
Egg, to answer your question, i am not sure what has caused the SP weakness. Its not justified. Im sad ive had no money to top up at this low, but am already very exposed to Somero (50% of portfolio) so its probably for the best.
Im looking forward to Wednesday. 60%+ RoE? 10 trailing P/E? 7% Dividend yield? Here's hoping.
Well, I'm tempted to jokingly say....What war?
But on a serious note I see no reason why SOM should be affected by the Ukraine situation short of Putin slinging nukes around. The majority of their biz is in the US. and the rest in countries not directly affected.
It may be in the minority on the latter point and thus more reason for the price to hold up especially in light of recent company announcements.
you are kidding right, have you been living under a rock or something ? I think it might be something to do with a war in Ukraine !
Has anybody got an explanation for the recent fall in sp.? It certainly doesn't make any sense to me!
Somero Enterprises (SOM) full year results presentation by management followed by Q&A. Next Monday 14th March, 1.30pm. Register here: https://bit.ly/SOM_FY_14322
I've added some more today at £4.73
Hopefully on 9th March when the full year results are announced, the outlook will continue to be strong and share price can move back northwards again?
Worrying times with Ukraine and Putin, so who knows what will happen next. Thoughts with poor people in Ukraine.
- At times like this, money and investments seem unimportant
people still need concrete floors right?
Very nice update. The combination of quality and value is pretty much unmatched as far as I can tell. The issue is obviously cyclicality (I remember that summer where sales were low due to it being unusually rainy) but there are significant long term growth drivers as well.
China will always be an issue because Somero's products are ssuited to a high wage environment where being efficient with labour is important. In a country with near-infinite cheap labour they don't really need automation. The company is doing the right thing by not investing into the region. Maybe in a decade or two things will change.
They know how to satisfy their shareholders too Shan. £1bn company in the making as a first stop here imo
They know how to write an RNS dont they!
one of the best stocks out there!
What a fabulous company!
