Ex Divi...then change in finance director announced on the same day. I know the change was preplanned.. but it seems like very poor timing on a day when they stock was bound to fall due to being xd. .
Don't directors get paid the big bucks to think of things lke this?? And this bunch are I believe complaining they should get more in line with Yanks!!!
Or I am I being over critical??
In the words of the Immortal Howling Wolf. The SP will be Going Down Slow as the General election approaches. Sir Kier will have his beady eyes on suitable companies to loot in order to fund his plans. Utilities are an obvious target. Got rid of mine yesterday as now too high risk!! Dont expect advance warning from politicians about where they expect to get money from!! Other targets?? i will let you know after I have ditched my stock!!
The latest half year report announces a return to dividend payments next year. This should widen the appeal of this stock to more investors and funds and consequently be positive for the long-term share price..
Sharecast News) - McBride shares surged on Thursday after the maker of own brand household goods said it had traded ahead of expectations in the first three months of the year as consumers increasingly turn to own brand products ...
It is likely in my opinion that many customers will stay with the own brand products when the economy improves .Many of thecproducts are just as good!!
If you look at the SP for the last 2 years , the bidders are not offering a premium at all. the proposed offer is well within the normal trading range and should be rejected. The UK share market as a whole is depressed due to interest rate uncertainty and Renewi was at bargain basement levels before the approach.
Given this companies very strong position in the countries it operates in and the high regard it is held within government circles ..(The Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, and the Dutch Minister of State for Infrastructure and Water Management, Stientje van Veldhoven, have both visited Renewi sites).
The Australian investments giant has a reputation in Britain for financial ruthlessness, earning itself the nickname “the vampire kangaroo”. In its statement, Macquarie Asset Management said it would honour the company’s employment and pension rights, adding that it would implement Renewi’s strategy “for the benefit of all its stakeholders, including municipalities, household and business customers”.
Noone believes this and MacQuarie has ruthlessly asset stripped water companies in the UK. It is sure to lose any goodwill from the Dutch government and is a very poor fit for Renewi.. A far price would be £10 plus but MacQuarie are not suitable owners of an environmentally responsible company.
Others may disagree!
NIHR, Oxford Nanopore announce new health study
The study would involve using Oxford Nanopore's platform to sequence up to 22,000 samples to further research in the initial areas of psychiatric, common and rare disease.
Notice the word "initial" .
It would appear there is a great deal more to come !!!
See todays RNS
Eden Research plc (AIM: EDEN), the AIM-quoted company focused on sustainable biopesticides and plastic-free formulation technology for use in global crop protection, animal health and consumer products industries, announces that Alex Abrey, CFO, has purchased 317,522 shares in Eden at a price of 4.72p per share.
As TET is a company ultimately serving the consumer sector, is it surprising that the SP is under pressure. Incomes are squeezed due to fuel price hikes, general inflation incomes are fairly static and the economy has stalled due to covid. Clearly, discretionary purchases will suffer...like trendy beverages which Treatt contribute to.
The writing is on the wall!!!!
Evidently , Jammyboy , you are heavily shorting this stock.
I can think of no other explanation for your repetitive negative posts and personal abuse.
As you are so bright surely you have sold any stock you may have bought . If so why are you even on this board?
Unless you are a shorter.
I think you are wide of the mark in having a pop at me as I am a normal retail investor with a shareholding in this stock (for my sins). Feel free to get the FCA on my case ,they will fall about laughing!!
My only post was to report some buying activity which was a factual statement at the time it was made in DECEMBER 21!!
I accept your aologies in advance ,but you really need to read posts and the dates made more carefully.
As the UK struggles to repair its post covid finances...what will the teetotaller Richie Sunak hit in the upcoming budget?
My guess is the latest craze targeted at young vulnerable drinkers ..namely Hard Seltzers which are widely touted as the driver of Treatts success.
There's a trade-off between the benefits of an expanding sector in the drinks market ad damage to health caused by alcohol!
Richies dad was a GP and his mum was a pharmacist so he will be acutely aware of the damage done by alcohol and the dangers of targeting the young.
Beware the ides of March!!
Is the SP hiccup due to this headline in todays Guardian(and elsewhere in the media ?
" Sajid Javid denies row with Treasury behind NHS backlog plan delay"
The backlog will have to be tackled ,the question is, how rapidly?
I am still a buyer of this stock but uncertainty always knocksany SP.
