Further to last weeks release of Argonaut list
https://stockhead.com.au/resources/argonaut-says-it-keeps-getting-harder-to-build-a-new-project-but-rates-these-11-developers-to-get-it-done/?amp
“Completely new to the list were New World Resources’ (ASX:NWC) Antler copper project in the United States, London-listed by Australian led SolGold’s Cascabel copper project in Ecuador, Northern Minerals’ (ASX:NTU) Browns Range rare earths development and Atlantic Lithium’s (ASX:A11) Ewoyaa lithium project in Ghana.
Ewoyaa is targeting the earliest start date for mining of any of the stocks, with its eye on a 2025 christening for the 365,000tpa spodumene mine, the first in the West African nation.
Also backed by Piedmont Lithium (which will take a 50% stake in the project) and the Minerals Income Investment Fund of Ghana, the mine has emerged as an M&A target.
South Africa’s Assore, owner of around a quarter of Atlantic’s stock, was knocked back in a 33 pence (63c) per share bid for the rest of the Ewoyaa developer by the target’s board yesterday.
SolGold falls outside the 25% IRR limit and Aussie domiciled criteria set out by Argonaut, but makes the list given BHP and Newcrest (now Newmont) sit on its register as significant shareholders, and the project is of sufficient scale to justify inclusion despite its 19% IRR and near $4bn price tag.
It is looking at a phased approach to developing the 10.2Mt copper, 23.6Moz gold and 102.8Moz silver Alpala deposit with a staged transition from sub-level caving to block caving that could reduce the funding hurdle for the 132,000tpa copper and 358,000ozpa gold mine.”
Hi Darren apologies…… the point I was making is that it’s a massive lifestyle change from Toronto ( or North America in general) and he’s not doing it for the salary
Dbw. The only thing that stood out to me was the following sentence.
"It is looking at a phased approach to developing the 10.2Mt copper, 23.6Moz gold and 102.8Moz silver Alpala deposit"
I think we all know their looking at it. There now looking at it for the fourth time.
The issue is, how much longer will Ecuador give scotty boy.
Bearing in mind the agreement signed earlier this year, stated that solg would by the end of this year have started production.
Mein Gott!
The dummkopf is unable distinguish the difference between their & they're, there & they're, and there and their. Admin really need to take steps to prevent such wanton display of illiteracy on the solg BB.
Yep that stood out Add ….. also noted this re phased approach
“That was the same model used to develop OZ Minerals’ Carrapateena mine in South Australia”
DBW likewise the recent directors buys. Neither man strike me as altruistic or charitable enough to have done it simply as a PR stunt or to shore up the price in a dark day but rather - knowing what they know from the facts they have in front of them as insiders - not votes of confidence but a real belier that these investments - at the 10p level - are likely to pay off handsomely. There is commitment there that has been lacking these last 5 years which I regard as a good sign.
Agreed ….. hence my point yesterday, having steadied the ship why would any right minded investor want to rock the boat again now ….. seems crazy
Given Twigger's involvement with both companies, you'd assume he proof read the document before it was released - but what does the reference mean? It's not related to the NAV as that is not a "price tag".
Incidentally, before anyone accuses me of reading too much into this, I'm not. My view is that it's simply a sloppy throw-away observation by the author - although I'd love it to be true.
I’m pretty sure he knows the difference…….
😁
Aussie dollars would give £2.1bln or about 70p a share.
Majority of brokers have fair value or target prices of near 70p.
So surprise at price tag. But if it's US dollars then £3bln or £1 a share looks a tall ask in this market.
Tesla, I am not so sure. NAL is sounding more and more like a Chinese person whose English is at the kindergarten level. I really find it hard to accept that a person raised within an English speaking country cannot write a legible post in English! Could NAL be a Jiangxi plant?!
I have Darren and have many happy memories of visiting the region around Quito and white water rafting...and of course the Galapagos...
Yes DBW...and copper breaking out sharply at $3.77...
Even under the old PFS2 those numbers that Argonaut quotes produce:
$1.12 BILLION a year Gross Revenues from copper and
$705 MILLION from copper
Totalling $1.825 BILLION A YEAR!!
SOLG current MCap is $338 MILLION....
All the doommongering on here suddenly seems a tad irrelevant...
Cheers as usual
Agreed Red ….. just got to hang in there a while longer
Give it a rest ,that’s the 3rd time in the last week you’ve posted that 💩
