Happy to be branded modern: thanks.
Posting misinformation and posting genuine opinion are different. No one is suggesting taking down genuine opinion, add. Now I think it might be you taking things a bit seriously and getting upset... Libertarians often get upset when someone mentions that the world benefits from a few rules of engagement. And then they get upset when someone breaks the rules that favour them... Funny, huh? Obviously doesn't apply to you, add.
'victim shaming'! How very modern!
And yes, they should be left to post whatever they want. I don't believe in shutting down debate about anything and absolutely loathe this contemporary disease of trying to prevent people expressing their opinion. If people don't like it, they should say so in a discussion, not demand that alternative opinions should be banished.
I think you may be in danger of taking this board a bit too seriously.
Thanks , will have a look.
Before I say this, for clarity, I don't find equivalence between ramping and criminal activity.
But if I did, you've just done some fairly hefty victim shaming there, add. You are effectively saying that rampers should be left to ramp, and those who believe their bs are the ones at fault. Surely, without reasonable question, the better thing to do is remove the rampers? Come on, tell me you see that?!
covgaz, there's a translation option on the top hand right of the page. There's also a number of other highly relevant and interesting articles accessible on the side-bar.
Indeed I do know the difference, but on this occasion people are basing their comments upon what the CEO and others have said publicly, so perhaps their enthusiasm is justified.
On the broader ramper and de-ramper issue, you know as well as I do that whatever is said on these boards is entirely irrelevant and will have absolutely no impact on the market. And if people are daft enough to base an investment decision on what someone says here, then quite clearly they shouldn't be investing.
Add , it wasn't in my language so no , I didn't read it tbh.
Hope is good isn't it, add? It's not a strategy, but it's good.
Ramping is not good though. Most immature posters here haven't been posting "I am done with investing in an explorer, and I now hope there is a TO". They've been posting that there are signs of an imminent takeover. And that's disingenuous and bad for the board. I know you see the clear difference, so please don't follow the crowd and claim the actions of the rampers here are fine. They are not.
But some mining companies have not left the exploration stage for more than 15 years . There are two factors that are making this phase take longer, says Illescas. One is the increase in illegal mining , which has invaded concessions such as Imba 2 , in La Merced de Buenos Aires , in Imbabura. The mining concession was granted to Hanrine Ecuadorian Exploration and Mining , a subsidiary of Australian mining company Han**** Prospecting, but the company has not been able to enter to explore because there are illegal miners. The second factor is the opposition to formal mining , which has become more acute after the national strike in 2022, adds the former vice minister. “ We tell the large transnational mining companies , even if they have invested, they will not be able to develop mining in Ecuador,” warned the leader of the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (Conaie), Leonidas Iza, in January 2023. The opposition is also delaying the process for issuing environmental licenses required by companies that want to move into advanced exploration, Ycaza explains.
1981, of course you're correct about the need to take a long term view when investing, but you're ignoring the fact many people on here have been invested for many years (I suspect you haven't) and are now looking forward to a return. Patience has been tested by a management who made multiple mistakes along the way, and we are now encouraged by the noises coming from our new management team. So what's wrong with hoping we may soon see some positive news?
So they were wrong, DBW? Thanks. Only checking because your previous post seemed to say no one was correct, but those who said it wouldn't sell soon were correct. Good clarification. Cheers.
Also, know we're not talking, but who is posting but not invested? I invested in a copper-gold explorer with a portfolio of promising concessions in Ecuador. What I didn't do was sink money I couldn't afford to lose into a small cap company because I thought the whole thing was going to be taken over in the next few weeks for multibag returns. Because only a total f-ing idiot would do that. That, quite clearly, is a stupid gamble rather than an investment strategy, and one that would leave you underwater and scared right now. So scared you might (pathetically!) try to increase the SP by ramp posting on a small message board on the internet about.... A multibag takeover! And bingo: we have the reason for our rampy posters.
covgaz, this article is highly relevant, so if you don't find this article of interest it rather suggests you are either no longer invested or are one of those investors who prefer to ignore potentially important news. I suppose it's also possible you didn't read it but thought you'd comment anyway.
You guys should get as holiday together for a few weeks , nothing interesting and nothing doing here. Get a life.
It's certainly interesting.
Not sure who it refers to ….. just seemed interesting
Australian giants. Hhhmmm that sounds very promising
DBW, we might be reducing staff but I don't believe this article refers to us.
isn't a bad info?
“PRIMICIAS learned that an Australian mining company that was exploring in Ecuador closed its offices in the country and is already looking for a buyer to take over its concessions. In addition, other international mining companies in exploration stages reduced their staff, which raises fears of fewer investments, Troya adds. Among the companies with the most hectares concessioned for Ecuador exploration are the Australian giants: SolGold, Fortescue and BHP Billiton”

Lol 1981 …. Not quite sure why I’m replying to you but hey Ho ….. of course anyone who said it would be sold by Christmas was wrong ….. surprised you couldn’t work that out on your own and needed to ask me ……. I’ve always thought this would be sold but don’t claim to know the date …. It’d be weird to invest in a share you didn’t believe in wouldn’t it. Even stranger to post on a share you’re not invested in eh …… ??
We won’t speak again
Dbw
You're right that a sale hasn't happened. So those who claimed it was imminent 2 years ago, 1 year ago, 6 months ago.... They weren't right, were they? Were they wrong?
Copper, I really don't understand why you think a jv would be a good idea.
In my opinion, some folk ... Just shouldn't invest in the stock market.
And would be , as well just going to the bookie's. And putting money on the horses.
As they only want a quick return , and cry like babies.
Throwing insults around, when they are at a loss.
Chill everyone...
All will come good. No need for cheap shots at the next man, for having an option.
DBW, correct buddy.
Good luck.
Copperpot
A sale takes time as does production…. As far as I can see neither has happened….. no one is right or wrong…… yet
