The corporate spin in that company update was incredible. "The company is in the best position it has ever been in." Wow! really? Like best ever ever?? By what metric? Holy crap these guys are full of S**t!
The list of achievements was a joke. They have done a deal with the government to maybe make a deal with the government at some point in the future, and sacked a heap of people. That's it, the rest is total unsubstantiated spin !
We’ll do you agree
Roxi. It is indeed good news were off the bottom
I shouldn't get to excited about present gold and copper prices, that's redknights baby.
And it's irrelevant, we're light years from production, so today's price is best left for redknight to wet himself over
Great run this Month, now over $2000, and with copper also on a small retrace, this last quarter looking good to have a couple of Metal Resource Companies in the PF happy with my holding here , pleased it has bounced of the 5 -year low
Also adikt, what's the point countries like uk or australia signing these treaties. We've got no industry left to use them.
Also just google how much iron ore australia ships to China.
That's how well the treaties going
Add, Warren Irwin is not a fan of the West's strategic minerals initiatives. He pointed out that if we prevent China from buying our discoveries, then who will we sell them to? The West aren't buying them. He went on to ask, when was the last time a permit for a smelter has been granted in the West (USA)? We can't stop the Chinese without making sure that we have replacements for the Chinese. Its like EV. We mandate the move to EV vehicles, but have done nothing to deploy the charging infrastructure, nor building out the additional power stations that will be required, nuclear power stations.
I agree that our reliance on China must end, but it will need to be phased, much like the plan from Scott which we are all patiently waiting for:)
Novice. You must of finished your paper round early.
That's good, gives you a chance to do your homework.
Also clown you played that game, and lost to acau
Or something. Remember you lost that one. Disappeared, and like a bad penny turned up again 2 weeks later, no point in wagering with you,
Not true that Add has only just realised, they may have been aware weeks ago but not interested in scoring points.
OK once and for all, do you agree if I get more than 25 recs you leave forever (or until you set up another user) or I never post here again if I don't as you are now becoming extremely tedious ? poll closes end of play tomorrow
ONWARDS & UPWARDS !!! one last time if that's the case
Shipright. What makes you think china are not proactive in ecuador now
Surprised you've only just realised that adikt.
It's actually old news.
Australia joined it 4 or 5 months ago.
Still better late than never
It might also encourage China to be proactive in Ecuador
At last the West is attempting to do something about China's stranglehold on essential minerals.
14 nations have joined the Mineral Security Partnership which is will assist key mining projects in raising both public and private funding. So far 20 projects have been identified and 4 will be put on a fast track in the coming weeks. The US is making funds available via the International Financial Development Corporation and the UK is also going to be involved.
I'm fairly sure we're not on the list, but at least the move demonstrates the West, and hopefully our friends in Ecuador, now understand the level of the threat from China.
Eloro, your not a former hawk, now flying with the doves.
Your a fantasist amongst fantasists, who appears to write schoolboy posts for his dad.
Absolutely. Also time to mothball the bakery, coffee plant and woke indoctrination academy. None of these vanity projects were ever necessary and are a terrible use of our infested money
201 if you include Liam Twigger
We have to remember in the background is the new government that has to face elections in 18 months time . Will they really be okay with Solg and the suitors doing nothing in that time ?
1984 as I said yesterday Scott ($200k) is on about a third of what Fawzi was earning, which is nuts, but is heavily invested and incentivised to deliver here ….. no guarantee they will but at least we know they’ll give it a good shot.
Can’t see any good can come from unseating the BOD now as we’re running out of rope
Costs should be minimal while we await this monetisation event otherwise it just encourages suitors to sit and wait it out while we have to dilute more.
There are still at least 200 bum scratchers to dispense with
Cheers Fort, I did point out to Bob that he will need to go on a charm offensive if expect to win the votes of shareholders who are currently looking at a significant paper loss because of the current SP. He does recognise that rational, patient investors who are currently waiting for a monetization event would not want to get rid of the BOD at this time. So, I will carry on being patient.
1984 - do your employees scratch their bums?
Eloro, my hunch is that Bob & Maxit are smarter than they appear to be right now. There are pro and cons with a low sp when dealing with potential buyers. Bob & Maxit would be aware that the 'heat' would be on them after pushing things into Q1 24 and fully aware that they would be under the cosh heading into the AGM based on virtually zero news events all year and zero monetisation. So what would a smart Bob and smart maxit do?? Would they be prepared and have something lined up ready to release to the market ahead of AGM voting. Get some happy clapping going? Absolutely. That's why I think it won't be a problem and news will be forthcoming. No outfit like Maxit would walk into a potentially tricky AGM (apparently a special AGM to boot) without something to generate some smiles.
SO relax... Bob and co will deliver. Scott will be safe and all will rumble on to Q1 24. Or... Maxit are not prepared and have zero to offer in which case my earlier posts today become reality for many.
There will be decent news before the AGM... why? Because without it... they are in trouble imho.
I was dead against voting for Scott but now I’m on the fence. For several years one of my biggest bugbears was why are we paying 700 Ecuadoreans to sit scratching their bums?
He has at least addressed that although not far enough in my opinion, I’d get rid of the lot
I hear you Fort. We are making guesses and we don't know what is going on in the background. Perhaps there was nothing Bob and Scott could have done about BS short of buying the shares themselves. Was it their job to find a buyer for BS holdings? I am confident enough that Bob is doing his best to get a deal done while not giving solg away. I saw where you are assuming that Bob will accept a low bid so long as he is in the money. I think that is not fair. He is focused on getting the best outcome for all of us. But if you feel the way you do, send Bob an email and voice your concerns. He can be reached via the Maxit contact us link on their website. All the best.
I think oven ready, suggesting some of the prep work is done, would have been a better choice of phrase, rather turn key…. But… semantics..
Fort, as long as the shares are held in Treasury they have no votes. That changes once they've been sold...obviously.
