It's not a spelling contest, it's about stamping out the filthy trolls!
Oooohh just having some lunch and low and behold some posters who seemingly are old enough to know better are arguing like juveniles with completely anonymous posters on a Saturday night instead of enjoying life :)) ah well back to the ski lifts after lunch speak on Wednesday
Leave the board for the rampers? You'd love that, wouldn't you? The chance to ramp completely without resistance. Nice try, I guess I should say?!
I mean, I'm guessing at your previous point. The spelling and grammar required proper deciphering, but it's childish to use that to question the legitimacy of your... 'arguement'?!
Go to bed, Monte- you're outclassed on this board by other rampers who at least engage in 'discourse'.
Everyone is duty bound to call out this troll menace
Typo
Here to help others
Oh that old chestnut you are help to help others ( strangers on BB's) the desrupers go to answer.
Maybe you don't want to hear from me because I called you out so easily.
Can't believe others are so easily fooled.
Im going to emphasis my point, to all who say, nothing to see here.
If you all believe this is still a long term investment and either nothing is gping to happen for a long time or indeed solg are going to production, come back in 5 years time and enjoy your investment.
Leave this board for others, ie those who believe something is strring, to discuss it in peace.
Still wrong, Monte: sorry.
I said why I was here the first time I addressed the posters selling an 'imminent bid' as fact. I doubt you'll remember what I said, and I don't expect you to look back, so maybe just ignore me, and stop posting? I have no interest in your posts, so you can reciprocate in kind. Best wishes.
Stack
Believe in what you preece.
Why hang around on this forum if nothing is going to happen until late next year.
It makes no sense.
Unless you have an ulterior motive that is. Now there's a thought!
Echo.... Echo... Echo....

Get the merger over the line Bubble
JV not happening
Should know very soon fortissimo about sale
JV's are often great for Super majors but not for juniors. You are dealing with a Tier 1 world class mine which involved complicated deep block cave development. A super major would want to fast track the payback period and as such boost the DFS, likely double SOLG's projection. So if you JV 75%, you are left with 25% of a potential $5bln Capex plus any overruns. You have no way of financing it apart from debt and any delays will see the end of you. That's SXX territory.
Smart investors here understand that plan A (take it to production bluff) was required to extract plan B (asset sale) as it strengthens your negotiation position. But BHP didn't fall for it and SOLG failed to provide evidence that they could indeed finance it. So that game is over (although I gather some numbskulls on here still think it's going to production) and now it's time to prove the 'cab off the rank' strategy works. To do this... you have to sell the cab. Then the when you strike on Rio or another target in the future and hit some nice holes like Alpala, the market knows your strategy... it's proven profitability and it prices you with less 'orphan phase' discount and more at a premium pre asset sale.
The rinse and react or cab off the rank strategy is great but takes time, however, considering CGP and others were looking to sell Alpala 3 years ago when we had less than 2bln shares in issue, 45p then may well be better than 60p today.
"Fast and smart"... explore... define... derisk and then SELL!! SOLG can do this 5 times over during the next 12 years+ if the licence blocks really are full of PM's. You could get $1.5bln+ per one.
But first... lets get the first one sold off without any liabilities like funding 25% minority rates on a projects we have no control on the Capex.
Addicknt - your 9:43 post makes an excellent point that retail investors always forget.
A JV can mitigate short term financing risk but usually it is not the value creator that many like to think.
Undoubtedly it helped GGP for example because it allowed them sustain the Havieron discovery euphoria for longer than they would have done if they were raising their own funds.
But Cascabel is out of the discovery phase. That euphoria died down about 3 years ago. A JV now makes SOLG cash rich but it won't bring investors back given current market conditions unless SolGold went and made another significant discovery on a regional licence.
Then SOLG is trying to spread itself across funding it's share of Cascabel and the rest of it's portfolio.
What would happen if SOLG announced a JV next week? I suspect the SP would gap up and be sold off quite harshly, a bit like the merger announcement was.
The biggest value creator short term is a sale and long term it's a regional spin-off.
Copperpot- you've more chance of standing in some rocking horse **** on your day out in Cork than SOLG farming out Cascabel just after.... consolidating Cascabel.
Enjoy your day.
Q, the problem with a jv is that I don't see how it provides quick value creation and distribution, which, after all, is what CGP/Sangha/NM want.
If we sell say 75%, we will not get a particularly good price and the proceeds will have to be put to one side to stand our corner of the development costs.
I'm not saying a jv isn't possible, just that I'm not convinced of its benefit.
I'm maintaining my stance of a sale of Cascabel and a repeat process with porv etc.
Good morning all.
In the strategic review we are looking at a quicker return on Alpala, a cheaper open cut and a partner.
Sounds like a JV to me.
Good morning DBW/addicknt, your talking about the first merger.........I'm talking about the second one (J/V) ;-)
Good luck lads, I'm heading off to Cork for the day.
copper, I very much doubt CGP have a People Officer, or whatever they call personnel monkeys these days.
DBW, agreed...obvs!
Maybe Copperpot but unlikely to be the reason as Solgold has stated their intention to be Aus based and all the CGP people are based in North America.
The merger is a tidying up exercise intended to help facilitate a takeover in my opinion….. no JV’s just a simple on time deal ….. we may even find out one day ATB DBW
Some people that left will not be replaced with new personnel for the simple reason.......why duplicate staff when there's a merger coming?
Have a good day all.
. Which was subject to numerous conditions, was non binding and valued Solgold at less than the then share price of 19p. So to paraphrase Fred Goodwin, not so much a bid as a drive by shooting.
“Lots of the regular posters on here have been stating an offer or bidding war between majors was imminent..... since 2014. Not only for a couple of years. Yet here we are. Nearly 2023, and not a dickie bird”
In 2016 BHP bid $275 million on the Cascabel project in return for 70% of SolGold's 85% stake in it.
Their not there.
BNC... in response to my post you’ve put “made it up” in quotes, yet that phrase doesn’t appear in my post. Now that may sound pedantic, but it’s really not. There’s a fundamental difference in me pointing out how posters on here have been continually inaccurate in there predictions of a bid for 9 years, and me accusing them of making things up. This first point is accurate and true. The second point was one I did not make.
but at least we now have the for sale board up and advertised on rightmove lols
