Ok maybe though I do remember a tweet a while ago saying it had been “9 months in the making”
DBW, discussions with CGP started in June/July.
As you know, I agree with you on the rest.
The reason the RNS hasn't been issued is that the company is preparing another announcement which hasn't yet been finalised but is of great significance and must be read in conjunction with CGP's.
Add …. The way I see it is similar. The whole merger was conceived probably a year ago with the clear intention of joining forces in order to monetise everyone’s interests ….. and by default ours.
There is a clear intention to get this sold and at some point there will be a press release that will leave no room for doubt and any opportunity to speculate at these levels will be gone for good. Whilst I don’t enjoy the waiting I’m confident of the outcome.
Oh, I read it alright. Few questions
What’s the funding to be spent on which will add value, if we are not exploring?
How does the current price of copper impact us as the stuff is in the ground? Extraction costs are increasing across the board, and and bidder doing their own feasibility study will include this. Everyone here bangs on about copper prices, but ignores extraction costs.
Much of the squabbling issues with Cornerstone we have seemingly overcome was of our own making.
Yes, we are in a slightly better position, but let’s take off the rose tinted specs for a moment. SP is 17p with no buyer in sight, and no alternative plan.
ToS, that's one way to look at it. Alternatively, you could read Fort's post of 22:40.
DBW... completely agree. They really need to make future path clearer, as you say, put it in black and white, or the SP is going nowhere. At present, as far as the market is concerned, we are a junior explorer, with many licenses, none of which we are currently exploring, significant daily overheads, and a Tier 1 asset with no tangible plan to monetise it.
To the RNS doomsters and gloomsters. Give Scott Caldwell a chance to make his presence felt … and blame the Royal Mail in the meantime like everyone else does.
ToS …. Lol ….. and it will come
Hopefully it’ll come soon, though we all know the result. I’m thinking they may use it as a vehicle for making their future path clearer. We have a BOD of openly pro sale individuals. They just need to put it in black and white. Plus confirm the short term plans for the extra shares in issue …. Ie treasury or placement. This will pop soon just a little more patience required
Heaven help us if a bid or bids ever do come in. These halfwits would forget to issue an RNS.
Todays opening drop is due entirely to the BoD not issueing an RNS
This par for the course with SOLG's Board and Executive Officers. We have/had a PR Officer being paid a substantial salary and previously was going to be issued a million bonus shares. I thought she had an office in London but who knows with this mob. Message from the board to all shareholders with please vote for us and when actual shareholders wanted to link into the Dec AGM they were locked out.....again typical of this mob. Have a look at HotCopper discussion forum in Australia and you will get the gist of how DGR, AJQ, etc shareholders feel about Mather. These shareholders have lost 80-90-95% of there investments all while following the Mather strategy of his own self fulfillment. And he does it all so well and remains the "holier than thou" for his faithful believers. With all the recent resignations one has to ask how many were pushed by .............. All of whom he personally selected so it says a lot for his management style.
I'm watching the "parrot sketch" at the moment!
It's really funny during the lull.
Eish ,yes odd no RNS this morning
Excellent summary, Fortissimo! Sadly no RNS up-date. We can expect some uplifting news on many fronts soon, imho.
The company announced the deal on TSX and yet haven't done so yet here. A bit strange.
Bogota thanks for link please keep us upto date on completion my friend
BPHL ,psml love it my friend ,we can have a tomato fight to celebrate !!:):):)
Fortissimo best post ever my friend
Alberta court approval will be on Webex -

“Our Carnegie Ridge subsidiary carries out a tree tomato production project in the communities near the Río Amarillo Project
The initiative has the support of the beneficiaries for the preparation of seedlings and the construction of a greenhouse with mingas”
A production of approximately 17 hectares is expected that will benefit its inhabitants.

“We continue to work as a team to promote the development of communities!“
The usual posters 'looking back' rather than forwards. Give it a rest for goodness sake. Same old dream stuff. We've just jumped a few major hurdles toward a sale or monetisation event.
1. Funding to the tune of $85m.... tick!
2. Tricky AGM and important resolutions to pass.... tick!
3. Merger with CGP vote....a resounding tick!
4. Copper price nearing levels last seen in 2022 when SOLG was 30p+...
5. Ecuador free trade deal signed with Chinese
6. New strategic chinese investor brought on board to help offset BHP/NCM weighting.
7. Norges voted with bulk of resolutions and did not side with BHP and co.
8. Lasso signs major trade deal with Chinese
9. Millions of shares shorted for ARB reasons etc and due to be unwound or closed out post merger or poss before end of Jan.
What's not to like... stop the droning and Mather this and CGP that.... we are one company now with a sensible team involved looking to get long standing shareholders the best return possible.
Cheer up!
Don’t forget, NM’s play was to get cornerstone into a situation that Solg could buy them out. I think his original plan has not played out, and this is plan B.
Or how about midnight UK time when ASX opens and any possible RNS or tweet from DGR
