Where’s the rumour from that a BHP announcement is expected tonight?
BOOM
yes you're right, would make a sale a bit easier, but not much tbh, you say many assets being sold where they don't own 100%.
I think its s great point you make re if we have to buy at full value why bother? I agree with you, which is why I've said all along I think NM has made a mistake this year with a news black out on progress solely due to the CGP situation IMO
In the big picture I don't think it makes much difference tbh, unless we take it all the way and then CGP pay us, which obviously wont happen if we were to buy their stake.
I've said all along I don't see the big deal re CGP. and its clear the SP has been kept down until its resolved or NM decides to crack on regardless.
I hope now we can move on with progress and news towards a significant re rate to fair value.
£2B for Ensa so Solg get 85%. That’s £1.7B. I forget our burn rate when drilling out at pace but if you keep £8m a month and 24 months back, then that’s 200m. So you’ve got c. 1.5B. special divi of 75-82p id speculate. Vary those assumptions as you see fit.
obviously I know we will get 15% less but we would have to buy that 15% in the first place, for I would guess about full value. I can only think it would make the sale easier as apposed to making our share less valuable
but wouldn't stop a buyer IMO
it will hurt by 12-15%, their share.
We it hurt solg ultimately, that they were unable to get the 15% from cornerstone? When it actually comes to monetize the asset?
Or does it just mean less red tape?
colonel - agree 100:% gla
It would be out of character, but nothing's impossible mate.
In theory could BHP offer a streaming finance package?
Yep your right Rich
Ø BHP agrees, for a period of two years (subject to certain exemptions), not to discuss any change of control transaction of SolGold with third parties without SolGold consent.
From 2018 placement
I’m pretty sure BHP can make an offer whenever they want as long as they discuss it with the board.
clever move IMO re a third party can make a bid, then BHP can counter that bid
Yes I'm afraid you are way out, on several fronts.
Firstly BHP can't make that offer unless a third party bids first.
Secondly ENSA is worth much more than 1b
I think not sure BHP can make an offer before Oct-2020. Anyways if it happens they wan to make sure they make the right offer with buy-in from Management already, they don't want to miss out like last time.
Anyways anything less then 1.5 Billion would not fly. A special dividend would needs to be atleast 20-30p or more say 50p.
....if there’s any truth in the rumour posted yesterday that there will be an announcement from BHP tonight I would expect strong buying into the close and not an afternoon Friday sell off. Let’s see.
If (and it’s a big IF) BHP were going to make an offer for Alpala/Ensa would all share holders on here be happy with say £1B for Ensa? 15% goes to Cornerstone the remaining 85% to SolGold. 10p special divi paid to shareholders leaving around £650,000,000 in the kitty for future exploration (or are my calculations way out!?)
