If ever we needed a positive RNS to keep the momentum going it is now.
Far too often on the past the company has failed to produce news when the SP needs it to keep progressing. That is especially true now as we need to break 20p convincingly.
It occurs to me that we are unlikely to see a TR1 from any prospective bidder, because with takeover conviction in the market that would cause the price to spike, thereby forcing a higher opening bid from said buyer.
However, this wouldn't stop a prospective bidder without a position here from acquiring up to 2.9%.
Or indeed, Jiangxi increasing Valuestone's holding up to 2.9% as they have not been required to consolidate that into their own holding.
As to XIB, until there is a short holding update, there is the possibility that part of the recent strength was due to them starting to close their position. After all at 0.5% its only 15 million shares.
Gurufocus says theres no short interest.
FINRA says 4,332,883
However the FCA daily sheet shows 0.59% (or c17.7 million shares) as at 31 March, which is good...because they have to close it some time...
Stop this desperation please.
Stop watching it like a hawk, the energy you're putting out there is one of lack and neediness..
Read the serenity prayer and acknowledge you have no control over what happens with a bid or no bid. What you do have control over is being invested.
Red, thanks for update re xib position.
RK, as it stands, there's no need for any interested party to do anything in the market i.e buy shares.
We are in a formal review process and if anyone's interested in bidding they'll be talking to either Citi or Maxit.
One other thing to bear in mind is that interested parties will have signed a confidentiality agreement and will now be insiders. As such, they can't buy shares.
What news are you hoping the company will release, Red? It almost sounds like you are suggesting the company should choose when to release market-sensitive information?
That doesn't apply to hostile bidders addickt
DM, because we've appointed them to conduct a specific process and have announced it to the market. Inter alia it establishes channels to the company.i.e everything will go through the advisors.
RK, at this stage there's no need for a hostile bid.
Few tops ups for me...
Obviously your confident at this level Ray.
Must have seen the code 1 buy lol!!:):)
Being an avid reader but never posting. I'm wondering if any on here remember kalbari. Upon reflection much of what he posted appears to have come to fruition. I used to read with amusement " Padmasters" little ditties, calling him out as an imposter. And the not so amusing abuse, from the likes of " Copperpot" and Co. They know who they were, names escape me. I seem to remember him selling at 39p. Not bad for an imposter. I expect many now, me included, wish we had heeded, his wisdom. Instead we still wait after many years, for that illusive take over. Having watched our fortunes dwindle.
Yes I remember Kalbari. Total waste of space. Shame they keep coming back ;-)
God you must think we were born yesterday! Clearly a Kalibari reincarnation so if your planning on staying around I will have to filter you again!
Yes, easy to spot FTJNY, so many reincarnations over the years. We still wait to here the admissions for the bans. Jimiley, Rosie, Satanclaus, Fechbar, Filthyrich etc etc. I thought the shytehouse spiders would have finished him off by now.
Thank you the 14 who recommended my first post. Yes. First post. Also thank you the abusers for reminding me of the names of some who attacked kalbary. The uncomfortable truth is, although I was no fan of kalbary. padmaster, you did pen ditties about , when you couldn't bare him, disagreeing,, with your views. Also he was abused, as today's hysterics again prove. He has been proved correct, mather is not, and was never the messiah you espoused. He did say he sold at 39p. Finally, many if not all on here would gladly accept 39p today. I have no wish to fall into the daily solg posting ping pong. But I suggest you and one or two others on here take a long look at my username. Then reflect on the years spent daily on this board pleading for something to happen. Share price in 2009. 59p. Today 19p.
In mather we trust
So needalife
has read the board for ages but never posted. Now he is writing essays.
Ok, you fooled me(not) lol
Not wishing to appear a low life deramper. But has anyone read the articles relating to fmg having made several hundred redundancies in the mining sector, to concentrate on FFI. strong rumours they are also pulling out of equador because of political situation. The redundancies and FFI investment are all checkable facts.
Thanks needy that's great investigative work I shall keep a close eye on it. Well done for highlighting it
Everybody knows Ecuador is a political basket case. I have written off all other of the company's exploration assets because I don't know if they are subject to any Indigenous or Ancestral consultation. I'm still in Solgold because Cascabel is not subject to either according to Darryl (maybe somebody remembers who he is), and what appears to be strong local support. What I don't know is if there are permitting issues or something that's holding back the project.

Needalife... you'll have to try harder. I'm afraid your reference to FMG job losses quite misleading. It's nothing unusual at all and minor.
But good to se you trying and a few other newbie posters as shows that some out there are getting irritated by SOLG's recently more resilient share price.
Keep up the poor work!
Yeah, no, right, so I remember who he was…
Fortissimo hey, just a little addition to your comment, those savvy newbies actually not new at all, the only thing new is their name.....
Same old Mary going round....
ATB.
Will it break 20p today ,once through nothing till 25/27 so should move quickly ,the waiting game is nearly there I feel
