It is generally accepted that Cascabel is a huge potential copper and gold resource, but apparently has potential to also be a premier silver producer. ( not really acknowledged or talked about )
As a World Series poker finalist, and tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy loon, I would like to bring your attention to certain information, namely.....
There has been and will continue to be huge distortions in the silver market. Copper is the king of the electrical world. Silver is the queen of the electronic world ( hence why it's price has been so manipulated and suppressed during the 21st century, but that's a can of worms to examine in detail another day.... just go with this train of thought for now )
There is a deficit of silver, as it gets consumed in small amounts in every electronic gizmo. The Chinese are now going crazy to source supply:

Even better, listen to it all, especially if you are a Brit or familiar with perfidious Albion.
Spoiler : Europe is fooked in this new multipolar world, resources are going to be protected much more closely, new financial architectures will be supported by resources held by blocs. The Brits are really naughty boys and have been doing it for 300 years, but now they have to stop.
Those of you paying close attention to the Russo / Ukie war must be aware that the wonderweapons this time round are the missiles, drones and electronic doodahs in general. With this new wave of world war in its early stages ( think this Russo / Ukie spat as the Spanish Civil War warmup that it is, with proxies testing out their weapons systems and prepping the battlefield ) then we will be entering a longer and more general period of electronic conflict over the next ( decade ) ?? until the next iteration of the economic and political order is resolved and settled, likely around 2032.
So, the race is now on to find and secure stocks of not just monetary metal, gold ( tick ) but also industrial metals: copper ( tick ) and the most important, silver ( big tick ) . It will be consumed in huge quantities and never recovered.
And what do world-class poker players do ? They absolutely love to bluff, misdirect and distract the rest of the table when it comes to their true plans. Cascabel is problematic, expensive and in the hands of fools.
Of course, I'm just a conspiracy theorist with a few dots to join, so this is for idle fantasy purposes only !
There is no way I will vote a single share for Scott Caldwell or any of the SOLG board without something concrete prior to the AGM.
Oh yeah of course everything is going to happen in Q1 next year Scott, of course it is! Have we learnt nothing over the last decade guys? Every year we have been sold the same bs leading into AGM's, then 12 months later we sit here thinking the same thing over and over again, we are literally fulfilling Einstein's definition of insanity.
Doesn’t that perfectly highlight another poor performance this year DM?… That we are in the same situation, despite a Strategic Review process to try to monetise a supposed best deposit found in the last decade..
I’m not so sure about Scott and Maxit…. Scott was almost having to ask would be buyers to come forward at the end of his presentation the other day..
Adikt. You really do think your the board sherrif.
Your last post, shows your arrogance, you now think you can tell us all what questions can or can't be asked.
"There are plenty of questions which need answering, this isn't one of them."
Adikt and quady deciding the board narrative.
Bloody mind boggling
Slug, if they are sold cheaply to our oriental friends, we run out of cash even sooner…. And get out the begging bowl again a few months later… at what price then???
They don’t need to rush any more than BHP or anyone else does… they can sit us out just as easily, knowing they can pick us up at any time of their choosing if they so wish.
Not if the cgp shares are sold cheaply to our oriental friends putting them in the drivers seat
This will get political. It’s east versus west for control of crucial metals and minerals and we are sat on a mountain full of bounty
Just hold
Who knows how little those cgp shares will be worth by the time our current funds have run almost dry and we need to cash them in… they may only be able to fund Solgold for a few more months….. and that’s only as long as we stay mothballed..
The majors know we can’t keep going too much longer, without needing access to further funding sooner or later.. they have us over a barrel.
There isn't much to say , other than Noront were 24 cents before takeover..is that right CD? May be 25 haha.
I go back to my thoughts of last year when I asked would we be bled to death , when the cash runs out and we taken for a song. Ok now we have some leeway with the shares from CGP , but alas its still the same scenario. We are actually becoming desperate for a suitor.
There never was and still isn’t an ongoing strategic review, they’re trying to thrash out a deal which is taking some time. The only way to expedite it is to end the impasse by coaxing a bid from a party. Once that happens the rest will take care of itself.
But for the avoidance of doubt, there is no strategic review, there is no new PFS and the bum scratchers are being sacrificed monthly as we can’t afford to maintain the oven ready workforce a bidder would acquire
It's pretty hard to surmise what the SR has achieved over the last 10 months. It certainly does not appear sophisticated. Ecuadorian politics have not helped the SP but I wonder if we had given interested parties a hard deadline with a Dutch Auction then we all might be liquid and drilling other assets to find the next ENSA. We all want an exit but this is painfully slow. I have worked for many Investment Banks and they would have sold this by now. Not convinced Bob carries the weight to deliver. We can only hope. Time will tell but that and our patience is running out.
There are plenty of questions which need answering, this isn't one of them.
I get it. It's not a conversation you truly want to entertain.
My point remains, if Bob's reputation is to be trusted in the context of achieving a good result with SolGold then it's not unreasonable to expect a resume of sorts to allow an opinion to be formed.
To say he will have been involved in all the deals is again deflecting from the root of the question at hand. If Bob is negotiating for us (and moreso if people want to continue blowing smoke up his backside) then it's only right we should discuss his background in detail.
It doesn't really surprise me that the stock tactic is then to accuse me of negativity. If it isn't Fort it is you or someone else.
Lets just all visit the board every day from now on and type "SolGold is utterly wonderful. All hail SOLG and the huge riches it will bring us soon." Might as well.
I understand peoples feelings about the perceived lack of momentum from SC and as such who wouldn't want to kick someone in the backside, but haven't we been here before? Having a new CEO appointed in the past has only resulted in further delays, new ideas about mining Cascabel and further salary costs in the meantime.
We can't sack the Ecuadorian Govt, or put a gun to the head of any potential purchaser to order a move on. This is what it is and it's your choice to be in or out!
I fear you may not understand how boutique corporate finance firms work. He will have been involved in one way or another in virtually all of those deals.
Your intentions may be honest, but you are wrong. But if you harbour serious doubts why don't you ask him? I get the impression you're trying to dredge up any negative you can find, and for me, this is you scraping the bottom of the barrel.
Add - I'm really not. In fact, you are the one being obtuse.
If Bob is a recognised and successful deal maker in the sector, can anyone tell me which deals of significance he has been involved in? He doesn't name them.
Whilst he founded Maxit you know full well that other senior brokers he has employed bring their own achievements and client portfolios, which effectively then fall under the Maxit banner because nobody questions it.
My intentions are genuine. I'm trying to point out that other than a long term relationship with Osisko, Bob's achievements over the last decade or two are to be assumed rather than stated.
Bozi, you're being deliberately obtuse. He was the founder of the firm and is a recognised and successful dealmaker in the sector. Do you somehow imagine that those multi-billion dollar deals were done by a junior in the firm?
Sorry old boy, but on this occasion you're talking through your hat.
Add - I'm not that interested in the firm. Im focussing on Bob specifically. He's the guy directly involved. He engineered this reverse takeover with CGP. He's the one who other SOLG shareholders are hanging their hats on.
So, I'm sorry but i won't be apologising.
You're looking in the wrong place. Look under the heading 'Firm'. You'll see billions of dollars of transactions.
So yes, your cynicism is totally unjustified. Apologies accepted.
I have looked at their website Add. That's why I've asked the question.
Bob gets a great rep as a kingmaker in mining but all i can find is $60m of transactions.
That could be bucket shop placings for all we know. It could include previous transactions with Newcrest for example.
I don't believe my cynicism is unjustified.
I could only get another £1168.00 pounds worth as my money is tied up for a while, still, something is better than nothing. Potential buyers of Solgold will be getting itchy feet in my opinion, hopefully things move on from here
Atb
Bozi, look at their web site. Your cynicism is not justified.
Does anyone actuslly know what deals Bob Sangha has worked on? He seems to get a great rep in these parts but it's pretty difficult to find specifics on line regarding tne transactions he brokered.
There is some info on the rather public disagreement he had with his former exployer though.
Watch who you put your faith in...
I think both the coffee shop and the bakery are both making money 1984, not to mention the good will with the locals.
Although initially positive a out SC and Sangha, the only thing SC has achieved in the last year is to draw a big salary and award himself options and Sangha- well it appears a big Zero following all his bluster - will vote against SC to is his name comes up reelection to keep the other Directors on their toes
The rate this is dropping at they’ll be left with 12% of a coffee shop and bakery
