"even today still fall for the sucker punch. "
Well i never said that. How much did you lose then Johnnie?
This was my very first venture into share dealing when under the COMS label. Exciting times in the beginning and I thought investing in shares was a doddle. I should have learnt my lesson but even today still fall for the sucker punch.
Well my money from the sale of the company entered my dealing account this morning and that is that. It could have been a good deal more but then again it could have been SFA. I wish fellow LTH's here good luck in the future and I have no doubt a new COMS will raise its head at some stage.
Good Bye.
I meant it wasnt so bad! typo there
Glad it was so bad then in the end, thankfully averaging down I made a profit on this.
No, overall a smallish loss but quite relieved that the SP rallied from the low 30s that we saw for much of last year. It could have been so much worse.
Appears to be 90p per share.

Actually, having just checked the sell price for you (I was surprised at how high it was) I've decided to sell the lot (just over 18k shares) and move onwards & upwards - this share has been a financial and emotional drain.
The sell price is currently 86.055 (just tried it through Hargreaves Lansdown) - this may be enough for someone to take now and buy a more profitable share (Rolls Royce perhaps). It's going to be a while before the process gives us our 90p.
The spread is ridiculous.

Not only have we lost so much on the value of the shares, we have also lost the opportunity to gain on a successful share over the years. Sorry - salt - wound :-(
What a total disaster this share has been. Glad to be finally out tbh. I don't know if my 80% loss has been worth the lesson I have had, but at least it's finally over.

Excuse my ignorance but does this mean they are buying up the whole company including our shares? If so is the trade automatically done or do I need to do anything?
Me too. 12 years of downtrend. £5.60 average. Won’t get that back.
Just under in terms of holding value vs. purchase price. Glad its over...
Well, having been in this wretched share since the COMS (CONS!) days I think I'm pleased to be able to finally draw a line under this dreadful 'investment'. £5 per share - my a***!
Another Aim company who promised the world and only lined their own pockets….average of £1.52…so will get a bit back.

I'd expect a little movement but 0.25 shy of the proposal? Could SiS drop their offer price?

No bidding war, sadly.
Nd
The issue they now have is that holders may just want out. Jo hambro were willing to take an offer from skeeda that meant they sold at a lost
Directors settling for a low ball offer rather then the £5 they were banging on about a few years ago.
The ball is in Skeeda's court - a bidding war would be nice!
Nd
Sounds more like they only talking with one company and not skeeda anymore

Thanks.
I think it means that Skeda were considering an offer for Smartspace. The Takeover rules are that the potential offer needed to be made as a formal offer by 09/01/24 or possibly extended for further consideration. It seems the consideration period has now been extended to 08/02/24. Likely that both sides are looking at their options to see if a Takeover is good for them both. It remains to be seen if an agreed or even possibly a hostile offer will be made.
Being a simple investor and not understanding city speak- what does this RNS mean?
Or not....
Nd
For Skedda tomorrow.

Do you not pay attention spencer has not been cfo for ages Kris has for a few years. He left back in April. Spenser was a COO and if you had looked at his LinkedIn over last year he was looking for work. Spencer hasn't been a big part of SMRT for a long time.
I see the Chief Finance Officer has just left for React PLC and the remaining directors topped up in August. Grateful for the directors keeping private investors informed of future direction of the company. Thought it was worth more than this ie James Wood at Cannaccord but maybe I shouldn't believe the positive messages
dont listen to this idiot dimitryreacts, he's the biggest bull**** merchant around
No wouldnt want a hostile bid, or to be taken out at this price, and yes I am in profit
Im i. It for about 6.50 too, such is life. However if they were that serious about a buy out then maybe a hostile takeover would be the way forward if the board dont want to budge. Or are they just holding out for a better deal? Im pretty sure most people in this from the old days would be happy with a takeover, hostile or not. At least we stand to lose slightly less!lol
The board have stated they dont support this.
Just sold a load here to place into another share after a nice tip off. Will leave a good chunk in though as it's going higher!
Gl All!

So much for the £5 valuation the board kept banging on about.
Nice to see some action at last and 2 more Institutional shareholders take a slice recently. Plus the mentioned Director Buys. Yes, it has been a long time....
A few director deals, cash from divisional sale and performance within guidance. Points towards a more hopeful future but it has been a long time....
Three days of rises...what is going on ?! Not knocking it...just waiting for the drop back!loll

For the non technical and long term investors what is the verdict - i want to hold
Chart position, so breakout, so target price is 52-54. The Bollinger bands are separating on both weekly and daily charts ,signifying a fast movement.
Profit taking would be advisable, when the daily lower Bollinger band first begins to turn up. The upper Bollinger band will still be going up, but that, is normal. The reason why the lower Bollinger band turnup, is important, is because it usually signifies a sp, retracement beginning. The trend subsequently resuming, can be caught by seeing the RSI(relative strength indicator), rising above 50. Otherwise , a price close above a preceding high.
LOL

I wonder if the reported wish to dispose of A&K had been misunderstood as the intention to dispose of the whole business.
Sadly not.

Does this have legs?
Let's see what happens on Tuesday.

A nice surprise for us faithful long suffering holders. But we could do with a lot more.
