Im i. It for about 6.50 too, such is life. However if they were that serious about a buy out then maybe a hostile takeover would be the way forward if the board dont want to budge. Or are they just holding out for a better deal? Im pretty sure most people in this from the old days would be happy with a takeover, hostile or not. At least we stand to lose slightly less!lol
Three days of rises...what is going on ?! Not knocking it...just waiting for the drop back!loll
Pulling out slowly is critcial to the integrity of the well. There may be a number of reasons the pipes may be draggung and they dont want to damage the hole but most importantly the well needs to be kept balanced so another kick is not allowed. This stuff takes time. Always has always will. Im totally happy with what ive heard since it all happened
All this bickering is thoroughly boring and ruining what is generally a good board.
lets just hope that all that terrible weather they had didnt delay them too much
I noticed this morning the spread was about 7% and now it is down to 1.5%. Can someone expalin the reasoning behind this please and why it changes so much? thanks
Does he not mean that they will hope to drill one lateral in the newly acquired land after drilling the wells already signed off to drill...
" The Company has also agreed to use reasonable commercial efforts to drill at least one well across the new acreage prior to December 2023, a requirement which the Board believes will be satisfied by the upcoming drilling of the State 36-2 LNW-CC well."
That someone at least thinks it worth investing here!
Its no wonder they wanted to re rate the share price a while back k wing they were going to do this. The only positive is that they themselves have a lot of their own money invested in the company. I remember the days of 10s of millions of shares. *huge sigh*
being offered on HSBC
They do have real time date, otherwise they wouldnt know where they were going or what they were drilling through! its just that there can be gaps in the data and recorded date is slightly more precise. The real time data is sent to surface using a pulser in the drill string that basically sends shock waves back up the mud and is decoded at surface. Very simple but also very clever stuff! Thats a massive over simplification too!
Aj1409 the ROP doesnt have any real bearing on the mwd tools, the only time they slow things down is when they take a survey at the bottom of each stand of pipe. But the company man will push them as hard as possible as safely as possibly without risking data loss (not that thats really a thing as its recorded on the tools anyway and downloaded after they pull out. ) because the sooner they are done the sooner the tools are not being used and not being charged for! So unless there is a formation problem or its just difficult drilling they will be full steam ahead until TD. They only really dont get to TD if there are tool or formation problems.
Maybe an email to Colin Harrington at Zephyr energy would spike interest, maybe he could 'promote' this board to the 'Australian development team', cut their wages in half and have them run the Amadeus from home. Then at least we might end up going forward. A poxy 100 odd barrels a day is really quite pathetic after all these years and all this money. Once they were outward looking and hungry for it. Now they seem to not really give a hoot. sad.
My bìrthday too!
I saw this today and thought it was a good interview and advert for smartspace....but its a company called smartspaces...! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/technology-58014316
Time frames are all well and good but there is always the potential for things to **** up. If it can, it will! Hopefully not with this crew they seem pretty adept at it Nd this rock doesnt seem to difficult to drill though. Have been on wells that were meant to take 3 weeks that took 3 mo ths costing hundreds of millions extra....But that was deep water off shetland...totally different kettle of fish...But still, it can happen, hence why I think the so is like it is and probably will be like this till we get TD
Ive not been around a well site for 10 years now but they used to use all sorts of things to plugs holes but usually they just pumped a gelatinous mud down to try and plug up the well bore and a thick mud to some extent is used to do that, but it doesnt always work. I have seen them pump nut shells and pretty much anything they could lay their hands on to plug gaps when the hole starts leaking! ah, fun times...except when your monitoring the loses in the thousands of barrels...thats not fun!
that the reason the sp hasnt reacted well is that the lateral part of the well is generally the most fraught with problems, like getting stuck, washing the hole out and losing mud to the hole, especially if they are drilling through highly fractured rock like they are expecting/hoping so people are basically holding their breath. If any of these things happen its all lost time and expensive to fix. but that is the reality of drilling holes in the earth! fingers crossed. They will also know what is down there to some degree as there will be increases in drilling gas and hydrocarbons in the mud that will be picked up by the mudloggers and geologist.
it doesnt help that the Opec countries are opening the taps to bring the price down and saying production will be back up to pre covid by september 2022.
to put my bounce back loan into this! not sure i have the cahoonies for it though as im already reasonably set up in here, and i dont regard my rose shares as part of that! I do think that this will go skywards on a good RNS about the core data if its better than expected. little concerned that its been left until the last minute to reveal the data. but maybe im over thinking that
