Been pretty obvious that we have had a seller lurking in the background. ---Looks like it's done now.-wonder if we will see the other side later.
if I was a gambling man I reckon that's the other part of STT's stake, but i might be wrong...very interested to see such a large trade taken down at such a small discount...and equally in no way surprised that the market likes it..
A,
Thanks for replying on behalf of TB, but is anyone really interested? I doubt it. However since (as usual) you use strong terms ("...that kind of intellectual dishonesty, which is plain disgusting...." Ehhh??? OK.), I will reply:
Question was: "...why is 46p suddenly seen as such a great price?"
Answer by TB was: "Because 46p is better than 23p you bellend...."
Enough said.
One of the advantages of a college education is that it helps you get a job. So I will now return to mine.
BTW, thanks also for saying my prior comment was intellectual.
its a strange world whilst typing 25million sold the shares go up on very very low sales. can you explain that one to me mr alarik or mr. timbremner
dont need rsi indicators today mr. alarik. over 25million shares sold this afternoon so that says rsi was right a few days ago and todays Chaikin Money Index saying sanleon was going to fall was also spot on. save embarassment on your goodself can i suggest you look up the technical indicators youself before bringing them to everyones attention in future.

yep - what does your RSI (really silly index) say about it?
LONDON, March 4 (Reuters) -
* Royal Dutch Shell said that no force majeure was declared on Bonny Light crude oil exports after a fire in an area around a key pipeline.
* Nigerian oil firm Aiteo, operator of the Nember Creek Trunk Line (NCTL), said the pipeline had not been impacted by a fire last week and had been shut since Feb. 28.
* The NCTL is one of the two key pipelines that transports oil from various fields to the Bonny Light export terminal.
San Leon Energy Plc (SLE.L) shares are seeing solid selling outflow as the Chaikin Money Index has dropped below zero. If the price consistently closes in the lower half of the daily range on high volume the indicator would read below zero and indicates a strong bear market developing. When the indicator stays below zero for a sustained period of time, especially with increasing indicator values, it shows a strong downtrend.
upstream it is, but in any case it will be repaired so no big deal in the grand scheme.
Reports are so variable it seems impossible to know what's going on.
They range from 50 dead to no knowledge at all on the part of tve NNPC.

One would hope that because the issue was upstream of oml18 there may be no impact. But let's wait for a clearer picture.

Dusterinmong, the word you were looking for was 'amadan'....be careful how you use it.
Let's see how Mr Market interprets this news. I suspect a big fat yawn.
How funny, Junkie. I teach night classes too: in 'Ethics in Journalism and How to Navigate What's Left of Your Life After You've Forsaken Your Last Shreds of Dignity and Integrity. I could offer you a volume discount
These things do get repaired pretty fast over there.
Emergency repairs are ongoing to the pipeline in the Guardian
No worries mate. ATB
I didnt say that OML 18 was in Bayelsa but the Nembe Creek Trunk Line originates in Bayelsa and then crosses Rivers State. It is difficult to say how this might affect OML 18, depends on the terms of the agreements on sharing transmission losses, assuming the several media reports, including the UK Guardian are correct. We already know that Eroton are unhappy with these terms.
By the way, in my spare time I teach Adult. Literacy. If you want to send me an email I'll see w hat I can do.
idjjit
get your facts correct before posting
OML 18 IS IN RIVERS STATE
No where nearBayelsa state
Major pipeline explosion in Bayelsa state. Reports all over the place. However, it could well be the NCTL that takes OML18 crude to Bonny.

sp certainly looks too discounted right now to me Olderandwiser. somewhere around yours and bluerill's excellent analysis last week looks right. and remember Oisin's recent interview with the Irish Times, where the journo states Tosca 'unlikely to sell' and see 'greater value in longer term'. and if the good news keeps coming, who knows what
Yes, the uplift since the closing market price of 30.95p the night before the TO rns is 14%. So Mr Market is assuming about 95% of shareholders will tender, otherwise if all 100% tendered, the sp should now be 34p. That still seems too high a percentage uptake, unless Tosca opts to exercise its warrants, then tender 10mn of its 300mn owned, and then some. Fat chance of that happening!
So worst case for me is that Tosca will only tender 10mn out of a possible 30mn, leaving an additional 20mn available for the rest of us to tender successfully, out of 200mn or so non-Tosca shares. If every single non-Tosca shareholder tendered their 10%, AND went for the extra 20mn available from Tosca not taking up its entitlement, we get to 20% tender ratio for PIs. But that assumes all insiders and all legacy shareholders still tender. Again, highly, highly unlikely.
So, bottom line for me, the current quote underprices where the sp will trade day 1 after the tender result is announced, by upwards of 10%.
a heavily falling share price from our Nigerian friend? I could have sworn we had to mark his words and watch 30p taken out this week...ho hum! I must say I am very impressed with Mr Market...it basically did the maths and said 35-36 is the right price with a 10% profit take to be had at 46p...and its stayed here ever since...am thinking we will not move an inch until we get results of the tender when we will know better how Tosca are thinking...
i should have written, 'EVEN IF steady-state production rates blah, bllah, blah.....' my bad
omg, no! i was just trying to point out that EVEN if the flow rate is meh, its still terribly positive that the well is flowing well enough for the company to be confident enough to hook it right up and test it that way. I though I was just being conservative!!!
"sure, the steady-state production rates may not quite come up to predecessors," ------you seeing some flow rates somewhere Blue ??
not often you see a company put a well right into production. sure, the steady-state production rates may not quite come up to predecessors, but who here is going to claim that this share price was discounting ANYTHING out of this well??? Not only is it flowing, but it's doing so sufficiently that Eroton is able to hook it right into production. At a minimum, I'd say that qualifies as 'better than expected'. Oh yeah, and they've moved the rig on to drill the next well. Just like a real O&G company......
