13p didn't hold - Noel right as usual!
I believe a takeover is coming and they need Eric to step aside to be ready for a world class CEO to step in to build on Wedt Kenya
to be honest ... i read nothing about a involvement of La Mancha here ... absolutely nothing ... but we don't need La Mancha or an other bidder at this time ... we need WK to grow to attract a bidder ...maybe in 1-2 years from now ... 2.5-3 million oz of high-grade gold will make SHG interesting for a potential bidder... at a rate of 100000 oz p.a. production we will be debt-free in 1 year .... SHG will be a cash-machine from now ... the 2 running mines are too small for a bidder.. all depends on WK down the road....
the new mine already produces on nameplate .. the SP will rise from here .... the AISC will go down from 1400$ and a lot of cash will come in with 100000oz p.a. production...
"I am pleased to report a strong start to 2023, with first gold pour at our new Singida Gold Mine taking place on the 30th of March. As a result, Shanta is now a 100,000 ounce per year gold producer with a diversified resource base, a de-risked balance sheet, and significantly more financial flexibility. Ramp up at the site is progressing well, with 2,200 ounces produced in the first 22 days of April 2023, and we expect to announce our 2023 production guidance and five-year plan in this quarter.''
You meant 13p won’t hold today ! Admit it
However, I do think that we will see the sp rise to above 14p in the not-too-distant future.
13p won't hold. You know I will be proved right right.
"6% up 13.50 and 14 on The ask" - not any more. 13p won't hold.
I couldn't get a quote for a dummy sale of 100k shares earlier (50k alright), wouldn't a large fund just mop up anything at 13p?

$1.4billion gold mining fund….hmmmmm could be them acquiring a position to then fully takeover ?
thanks Tony...yep I have spoken with Jeremy at HZM at length over the years (he's a good un)....made some....recently rode up from 3p to 7p before the 20:1 Currently out now.... the capitalisation and debt levels don't support my investing style. I'm sure I could be tempted back in...but I would revert to type and sell out soon enough....which risks me losing money! Best of luck though!
been here in SHG as long.....down some 50%? Made mistakes staying as a LTA in shares all those years back.....happy to hold a bit and trade a bit......My share cert in SHG never gets sold!

bankrupty, you may like to hear the HZM presentation given earlier this afternoon. It will soon be in my top 4.
"Shanta remains my number one share and is a dominant leader in my own portfolio."
Yep me too Tony no.1 in £value terms now out of thirty companies.....fifteen of which are reasonable size investments.
My top four are mainly gold with a bit of silver and copper....followed by oil and "green"? battery materials....!

hope instead of how!
Eric has done a great job especially with the new Singida mine. I liked how he helped create a vision, took opportunities to grow the company and be what I call a builder. I also liked how he delivered news flow to investors. I just how anyone replacing him maintains those qualities.
The one thing gold miners can not control is gold price. It is a factor that can still result a Shanta retreating a little. The upside from the growth picture looks great from early summer as debt begins to ease off enterprise value. I believe sub-11p is in the rear view mirror ,but 11.5-13p is not fully behind us until we have a clear picture of what gold may do as we come into the slow physical buying season for jewellery in Q2. Shanta remains my number one share and is a dominant leader in my own portfolio.
If endeavour mining are lining up a bid and want Eric to continue running things (with better pay package) then he'd need to stand down as he would be an insider on that deal and not represent all shareholders interests etc..concert party or in effect MBO.
West Kenya is worth the market cap alone (and more) but will need deep pockets to fully fund the development. It feels to me like Eric knows what's coming and needs to step aside as has a connected interest. Just a guess of course! But no CEO's leaves a company just before a big buyout or when times are good unless there's something else going in his favour.
Will be far higher yes 30p plus v possible
Definitely not at that price - we will be at that price naturally later this year. Needs to start with a 3 I think.
I believe the Chinese companies are going to make a bid for Shanta, 20p would be nice
$11m gold shipment ready to go --- great news
The new NED also spent a lot of time at Ivanhoe Mines, with Robert Friedland, getting interesting this.
and barry7376 says "Keep to facts" and then in the same paragraph "TR1 coming that canaccord selling along with Myles McNulty"
either he's mad or guilty of insider info....lol
and then there is Noel and his fan club.......I would have thought he would be too embarrassed to come on here....after his last shambles of a post....lol
Thank goodness we don't take "junior" theories seriously! Why not allow there to remain doubt about being a "junior" ?
It's just mad to publicise one's inefficiencies...lol
i dont think they were formal bids anyway so might not apply ?
