Over the past six months, online sales in the UK have jumped by around 50%. This has left many retailers scrambling to catch up. Companies like Segro are rushing to meet demand. The FTSE 100 company recently raised £680m from shareholders to fund new developments. It was planning to raise £650m, but demand was so strong, the firm decided to increase the offering.
valuation
Any idea why the downgrade? There's massive demand for the storage, capacity is near 100%, and expansion is continuing.
tgt price 905p
12 month high achieved, impressive in the current climate.
Segro collects 93% of third-quarter UK rent
Results due 5 August.
Something has lit the fuse!
Just got mine. Made about £700 after costs so far ....not bad bearing in mind Wall Street toppled last night. Keeping half as I think next week could be good for reits with shops opening and warehouses full. Plus Sunday opening.
Just wonder if this price is going to be affected by OCDO acquiring £1bn extra capital for expansion. I assume they will need warehouse space and they already use Segro.
Going up on a down day. Always nice to see.
With hindsight I should have just bought SGRO and AZN years ago and held instead of chasing "exciting" small caps
Good steady company with great fundamentals. Bought some from primarybid and will hold long term.
I think the Primary Bid allocation (£7m) is not significant compared to the total MCap so retail holders flipping shouldn't have much impact.
I hope it is different from most of the other Primary Bid offers , all but one of last weeks now cheaper then offer .
The exception the one they saved for the spivs and closed before the banks opened.
Yes first time though PrimaryBid. Had to change registered address via phone call which was a pain but sorted for next time. Not a big discount but placing has a good story behind it hence demand. Won’t flip like many others as will hold for income and growth.
Price was 820p. Not much discount. Amazing number of trades before 9am. Over 3500.
Very strange though. No mention on twitter site and PB always do that. No mention offer closed either.
Yes got some and no problems with Primary Bid
yes I took some. Hoping for 750p or lower. New shares on Friday so in your account midday Friday or Monday. Very good statement tonight.
I did get some in the end. Luckily they responded quickly to my email and fixed the issue with the verification process.
The price will be determined later but we get the same price as institutions.
I found them helpful and hopefully they will overcome any initial problems as such a service is needed!
Probably a book build ask one of proper brokers doing the placing they will give the range .
Primary Bid will get no more of my business wile they treat customers with contempt.
What price we pay for the share. I was not clear with the statement
I tried but the primary bid site is rubbish!
Good chance too.
Yep, he's been a bit of a plonker on other boards as well.
IC have Segro as a buy tip of the week, I would have more faith in them than NI.
Just a de-ramper then. Sad.
