Aplant won't buy , but Steve Corcoran is waiting with a war chest of at least 100million to continue the demolision job of Speedy.... As previously stated the fuel management side of speedy could be sold and the partnered services side of the business of which SC as employees currently sitting in Speedy offices!!!
Can't see A-Plant buying out Speedy - surely they learnt that lesson from seeing what happened to Speedy after their takeover of Hewden Small Tools in 2007. What I would like to know is how much confidence the major shareholders have in the current management team & the future? Toscafund own about 16% of the shares so I can't see them being too happy with the drop in the last few months unless they see this as being short-term and have confidence in things turning around medium/long term. Or do they know something we don't?!?!
HE THINKS A-PLANT MAY BUY THIS SACK OF STICKY STUFF. SHALL I CALL THE POLICE OR WILL YOU CALL THEM?
the question is not whether, but when!!!
Can't see A-Plant touching this with a barge pole...
?
You must be bored or twisted to say good morning or maybe few slates missing on roof !! Sell your shares pal it might help you sleep
I can see it going lower in next few months although range about 40/50 Can't see people making money until this company starts turn round "although could see buy out on cards.Maybe Aplant will take a punt !!!
Hello all{:-))
Nowt just a big Steve Winwood fan ;-)
tell us more then!!!
Valeriieeeee. Oops ;-)
Heard this week that this years accounts won't be as "oily" as last years!!!
Being sold st auction, at this rate they won't have anything left to hire out!!
Morning all{:-))
Further to your post implying only people who know about the tool hire business are qualified to be knowledgable in matters relating to Speedy Hire. I disagree, because the current and future SP is not all about ''TOOL HIRE'' but also about market manipulation etc.
Good morning all{:-))
well, if you talk about further profit warnings, invariably, this will give rise to the question of convenants. Will there be a risk of convenants being breached subsequently?
Good morning all{:-))
Profit warning has to be around the corner.! Personally I think we will se low. forties very soon, high thirties that would be very scary. More heads to roll yet.! Waiting for some direction from the top, none forthcoming as yet.
Think your right about hard times coming into Christmas, that much we know. What we don't know is what is happening after Christmas, that is, will there be a global slowdown? interest rates rising will surely impact on capital expenditure. Will there be a construction sector slowdown? But what is most important is, how low can the SP go?
And Mr C has his company staff based in a Speedy building re-hiring plant, quite ironic don't you think.!
Maybe the soft arm of sdy will kick in. Good look
Big it up from the pit pat massive... Can't wait for the morning start
To be fair I said a while back that they are playing at song plant hire....lots of people on this BB that have no knowledge of the plant and tool hire business.
