Good day to all{:-))
Good day to all speedy investers{:-))
It's a dead dog.! There are far better companies to invest in than SDY..! Can't see the SP hitting a £1 for 2 years minimum, MR was clueless and it will get worse before it gets better.! The lame fooling fools who have let their emotions rule their heads will find that out, on a slow burn.
Razorbite, you sound like the Iraqi information minister! "There are no U.S. Marines in Baghdad!" (cue Hummer driving past in the background) This business is in serious disarray: . Several key sales team members leaving, who look after MAJOR accounts .STILL not enough kit at the branches .Computer system crashing almost every other day Wakes wakey dude, this business will take 15 months + to recover
Good day speedy slowly-slowly back on up{:-))
From 23p to 52p in five years and how much has it cost those in the company share saving scheme I wonder..?
Masses of new kit in the depots, lots of auction bound kit has been returned and going back on the shelves. New opportunities for the superstores to hire light plant. All going in the right direction.
are fun to bait. A bite every time
A truly outstanding post.! You obviously have your head buried very deep in the sand. Wait for half year, you'll swing yourself.
yes very much so! more casualties and even I few depot closures............Very painful here atm
cvbncvbn
Good morning{:-))
40's my arse
There will be blood on the walls very soon..! It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better. To put it politely this company is in a very bad place right now and I can see the SP heading back to the forties.!
The whole company have spent nearly the whole day with no computers can't hire anything out, transfer kit or even make kit available
Good morning speedy investers{:-))
Whaddukno bp123? More shocks waiting in the wings I've heard......
.........just around the corner ha ha
The new IT system was implemented in April 14 and we're still having daily IT outages. Not very front office friendly either. in some instances customers can be waiting 30-40 mins to be served, issues with kit really started surfacing last Oct when Capex was frozen for all but essential purchases......depot managers had the powers to order items up to the value of £250 taken away from them..........Capex still remains an issue even this early in the new financial year.....in some cases we have to travel 200-300 miles to collect kit from depots or pay more in external courier charges , even if the hire is low value just to appease the majors
I think they over sold the old kit to balance the books which they do every year, but did not replace with new kit?
I think a lot of large companies do that to hit full year figures, same every year for some to make sure they hit target to remain positive to their stakeholders. When did they implement their new systems and have issues with kit? Sorry but I am new to this and not sure where to find this info! Just throwing in my own thoughts on the company :)
They ran out of kit because they were selling it like ice creams in the summer to land the last FY numbers. Ask an insider what their credit notes as a % of hire revenue sits at today. Computer issues ARE NOT fixed Lack of core kit IS NOT fixed Root and branch change required at senior management level for this to have any chance of turning a round. Currently full of bullying one dimensional, one trick ponies who have read it in a a book, but never done it at the sharp end
that is what we are seeing.
I don't argue that poor customer service during the implementation of a new computer system, or not having the stock that customers want is good management but surely the fact that Speedy Hire could actually run out of key items shows how much of a demand there is for their products?? Coupled with the fact that there are now (according to the radio this morning) more homes needed than what are being built this seems like nothing but good news to my ears! GLA & DYOR ;)
Phew!! I thought you had left me alone in here! :P
