Great company, growth industry, no debt, reasonable dividend and likely to increase. Where else can you put your money. The Directors have to sell at some point and they still have large holdings.
Happy Happy Joy Joy!
"The market is always very overvalued" says your video at c19mins - sorry, but what a ridiculous statement! And why is this made over a chart of the FTSE that only goes to 2005? All credibility gone right there! At 40x earnings and directors selling, and a 40% return in 3 months, I'm seriously thinking about taking profits here.
No RNS as Director sells £11 million pounds worth of shares today.
Loads of Company directors are selling their shares based on lower revenues and
reduced dividend pay outs due to Covid. The only way to compensate for reduced dividends is to sell your own shares. Gresham Hse, also today and Diageo on the 2nd Feb.
A stampede of directors selling out.
Not happy with director sell's but I suppose they have worked hard for their reward, but hayho another great contract worth £8MILL

Stock Analysis update video on Softcat and Its going Great Guns! : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvspLUqmy2c
Softcat rated as a BUY in the Tempus in The Times today
Big move up today
Yes, the pattern has been for a while, a push up to 1400 mark, then a drop back to low 1000's. Each time it's pushed a little higher and each time it's fallen a bit less, usually 100 higher than the previous level. There seems to be good support around/above 1200 now and though the swings seem big, I've always held instead of try and trade. The general trend is very steadily upward over the years I've held this, bizarre, current circumstances aside, though I think the fact that Softcat has been little diminished by Covid makes it a 'relatively' safe bet. I'm not going to try and predict individual spikes, but could foresee/hope for 2000p by year end.
“With the seasonally important December trading period behind us we are significantly ahead of where we expected to be at this stage.”
I like significantly ahead.
Thinking 1500p then take profits? Good company but sp has peaks then drops away a ton so buy back opportunity exists a month later. Thoughts from LTS?

Using proceeds which I Have begun taking out of Codemasters following the the bid there. I really like these low capital intensity/High CF generating businesses, with cash on the balance sheet and high, transparent and sustainable growth rates. I'll admit it's not cheap as chips at c30x, but this should soon come down as Companies seek to update and upgrade their IT. I'll buy more on further weakness.
Lets hope so...

Should we expect a nice bounce back into the 1200 range?

peter, funny thing is I read a similar article on Motley Fool a few weeks back, which suggested CCC and SCT would be good investments to take advantage of the so-called working from home boom. So I bought both.
Since then?
CCC up 12%
SCT down 16%
I can only put this down to the fact SCT was at the time trading at a significantly higher multiple and maybe the subsequent movement has been a ‘correction’ to close the gap between the two? As things stand (using Hargreaves Lansdown calculations, which I always do), SCT still has a higher PE of 33 compared to CCC 26

Computacenter a similar company seem to be doing ok, Can't get my head round the drop here, Iam very top heavy . Holding out for the results......
Thanks for the response schjmh.
This market makes little sense to me, but do see UK tech stocks generally seem to be out of favour this week. BOO and CCC (two of my other holdings) also down today, as well as ASOS and IQE, at a time that the wider market has done well.
Anyway, if the MMs want sellers they’d better look elsewhere. No chance am I selling this while it sits at a lower valuation that the start of the year! Fingers crossed we’ll see some upwards momentum again as results draw closer!
