Even with the enlarged bond value it saves them over Eur 8M pa
New Eur 600M bond at 0.5% replacing Eur 350M bond at 3.25%. Good news.
With the way the market is at the moment and the current situation Rentokil should definately look to continue to expand its market share, whether its buying smaller businesses like React Group which has the ability to take on contracts all over the country. Good be a good ploy for the business to drive real growth.
Well that dip was a nice opportunity to load up on these again. Happy to hold for the long term now that there is a bit more clarity about revenue.
I got this one wrong(ish). I had been reducing since it went over 500 as it essentially, seemed to be costing in no impact from covid. The results were OK but I had still expected a fall back to nearer 500 rather than an increase - hey, ho .
I will rebuild in this again over time.
Appears to be a lot of positives out of today's results. It would be nice to see RTO continue with expanding their hygiene services. I'm sure that hygiene demand will continue with the gradual reopening of shops and work spaces around the world. It will be interesting to see what sort of impact lockdowns have had on pest numbers and whether they whether pests have become more or less abundant with the decrease in human traffic.
bamb, mto have >20k cleaners in the UK, but I am not that keen on the company so not invested their.
apologies for cross posting...but reat looking good today...does anyone know of any other deep cleaning firms listed?
Yes, I think cleaning is going to be a huge thing going forward. The practicalities of social distancing and cleaning are going to be a big cost to many companies though.
Anyone in reat?
Cov 19 times. Quite something!
Well done Monkshood. Up almost 50% from the low 300s which is some bounceback from the PW. Not sure if any other share has turned it around so quickly and to such an extent in
I will rise to the bait - I am still holding FK, RTO have, for many years, been one of my key holdings, I did sell most in early Feb and then took the opportunity to load up again around low 300s. No plans on selling anytime soon, but hoping to clean up here as they develop and extend their disinfecting service...
Well that was an easy 25% for the brave! Well deserved for anyone who took the bait after the profit warning. I have been nosing round elsewhere but had no expectation that this rebound was lurking in the shadows. Hey ho!
Empty Bars,Caffs, Restaurants . Will not be able to open when the Rats and other vermin have moved in. They make very attractive homes for all sorts of pests . Its a constant battle that has to be fought. If anything there will be too much work for RTO over the coming months.
Few I imagine !
Ouch Rugs :) I was would this hold above 300p and it has so far though personally I alwasy watch trading into the close. I see so many good bombed out stocks that I wouldn't put money in here anyway. I suppose most pests come out at night but maybe the self isolation will mean more time to deal with these issues yourself if you can. Or will it mean the public are more aware and demand will increase. Commercially though shut down buildings won't have a demand imo. Interesting to see what recovery if any comes here.
Buzz off FK1
Good arguments for buying Monkshood to be fair but the day's fall is getting worse and now I am in a deeper hole. I knew I should just have kept my trap shut!
Reasons to invest - well run and has been a great growth stock up to this point.
Rats, mice, termites, wasps and mossies will have not gone away because of Covid. In fact I think that vermin may become more of an issue with semi deserted buildings at a time of year when the populations start to increase. As mentioned in the rns, hygiene, will be something that will feature more going forward. What they are currently losing by not servicing buildings, they may , in part make up with disinfection services.
good luck pal...
cheers
Have a look at the RNS, i have personally bought a few of these today as think overall it is a sound company for the long term
a friend mentioned this company recently and I just let it fly by my head ..
see the drop today and my gambling instings smell a buying opportunity
what's the main reason for the drop??
hhaaha no Rugs. I said trusted anyway. Just joking Rugs. You have provided me great expertise and one of the most honest posters here. Everyone else denies losses. You did well on this one. I think the general market is also up following on from yesterday so maybe a temporary bottom has been reached.
Not invested here Monks though I considered it a few times due to London's rat problem and the divi. I honestly would't touch it for now as there are a lot of restrictions in their operations due to Cov19. That said the fall seems to be easing so the initial drop might be a typical over-reaction.
