Yes that is what my thinking was. If you are not going to raise funds through placing what is the point of being listed? AA doesn’t want his share diluted. So maybe a merger with another cash cow like Serica is more likely. Or AA does a deal with PE or private company and sells. I posted an article the other day that is worth a read. Attack or defend?
as you effectively state, the point of being listed is to leverage debt markets (raise money) and grow the business. Ball in AA's court. Can't surely have a billion $ company in cash. Pointless.
Possibly Serica? Been researching RRE for a couple of weeks, unfortunately that’s meant paying £12+ instead of £9 or £10
I have been saying this for a few weeks, hopefully I not proved wrong today!! But I think the production cuts are deeper than predicted. I can deffo see a stronger re-rate next week. It’s just a pity if RRE can’t get back to cash levels £20/sh ++. Minus Coronavirus RRE would be ~£30/sh IMO. We must keep an eye on those gas prices too, oil is half the story.
I can’t see AA sitting on his hands for much longer. There is a deal or merger or PE delist to be had. Markets are out of love with fossil fuels so what route is best for the SP? What are the benefits to being listed for RRE, AA doesn’t want placings. What’s the point? As a guess I would say either merger or PE buyout are more likely. With the current environment in mind maybe a merger favourite?
Definetly seeing 1450 next week which is great base to build from.. Oil can see in the high 40's and things are really starting to crank up....
Would be nice to get some positive RNS next week, not really sure what though hah
this positive data looks like the reason for the boost to all stocks late on. Next week should be very interesting. That £22/sh cash is looking even safer tonight ...;0)))
