Hope so! I’m adding very cautiously
and it will last a long time. These will be half what they are now. But my godness they will recover to a quid!!!
I’ve also added. Very solid business here.
Well we have had a update on trading which seems ok as not another profit down grade apart from the usual inflation pressures. Now the energy bill was forecast to hit £46 mil now maybe 34mil . Uk Shares going to tread water or drift down some more but I’ve added some today the value of the casino business only must surly be on bidders radar at these levels
i dont understand big buys and the price does not move
We know they are going to make around £40m operating profit, according to last trading update. Not sure what that will look like as pretax profits? More important will be any forward looking comments and especially about the Grosvenor Casino's.
Would love it if 888 was to bid as doing nicely in there at the moment , but doubt that as they have just brought out William Hill, but thought this would be doing better then it is ? strange times.
The RNK share price has collapsed -90% in the past quarter of a century. One of the worst shares of all time. Time for an overseas bidder to jump in, break it up, and put shareholders out of their misery.
Be surprised if bidder dose not pop up at this depressing level.
A drop from £47m-55M to £40m is a drop of between 15% and 27% depending.
Seems oversold , a £10M profit target miss leads to £70M wiped off the MCAP
Sign of the times I guess
Previously bought at 1.35 , just topped up at 99.3 Hope this does prove to be a good price!
Could do with a general turn around of the current negativity. Difficult times recently.

A bit of good news for you with investec , your n91 free shares should be in your acc now, yes its grim for everyone at mo in this hype inflation bear market at mo , experts say stay in cash alot of my PF is red also, ive sold here the other day n kept very small profit in shares, cmcx been very good today for me , hope your luck changes n check your free N91 shares
Roofer61, I find the timing of selling is way more difficult than the buying, in the last six months I've gone from a 100% blue portfolio to 70% red, without me being overweight big oilers, and Investec I would have lost a lot of profit made since march 2020 but these shares have kept me within 10% of my portfolio highs. For the last six months, the markets have been tough and I'm a **** trader, that being said I do think Rank Org at these prices, is a good investment, backed up by the recent CFOs 83K purchase. I purchased at 1.25 and at 1.00 and 95p(I'm at sp with these at the moment), but after Wednesday RNS I am encouraged to purchase more at the current price. Good luck.

Yes Invp done excellant , im also hold that as well , ive traded that a few times ,been a few large bounces recently , just sold a tranche on tues ,but always keep profit in shares to capture the dividends
Market Screener website shows 90% of shares in Rank Organisation held by institutions, only 10% in public free float though there does not seem to be a lot of interest judging by Chatroom input. This does not put me off (the noise can lead you to bad decisions)my best investment over the last few years Investec(INVP) does not attract much Chatroom input, that share also has a similar profile with large institutional holdings. As with many shares, before Covid, this was a regular consistent Dividend payer and I believe it will be once again.

Same here had small dabble at trading here, thinking is might be a re instate dividend payments in the near future , nothing declared yet but something brewing , time will tell i guess
Must be a good price, a relation of the CFO (Wife or another family member) has just purchased over 80K of shares, I have dipped my toe in over the last few weeks may be the right time to buy a few more this share has been hammered (as have a lot of others) over the last few months, they have a virtual monopoly on casinos in the U.K, not many shares in free float and does not take much to move it (up or down), I feel or hope that this is somewhere near the bottom.
Both of their high rolling and low end businesses are being squeezed. No more oligarchs at one end and cost of living at the other. I am afraid it is going to be a long haul, but strongish balance sheet should get it through to the other side. At 99p and on a 5 year horizon, the shares are probably worth a punt.
Back in to average down my untimely entry at £1.27 less than a month ago.
Just when we thought it was at the bottom, here we are, Surely this will be our best buying opportunity.

I though the same a good time to add, last week only to see the sp drop further, however almost everything has dropped.
Hoping for better days very soon.
adding back my May 192 sales, quality company caught up in headwinds for now.
I've done well on Rank up to now and sold out at 1.56.
I have however bought back at what i thought was a good price
of 1.35 Surprised it's continued down to today's price but still
believe it will recover strongly assuming no new major outside negatives.

Looks a great starting price for me and I’m in. Give it a year and I can see it back in the 180s and maybe the dividend back too. Good luck all.
