Phunt who you kidding You and your colleagues are Not Professional ,don’t insult true Professionals. What planet are you on !
I think that's a bit unfair mHudson . To compare us to the general staff is just nonsense . For starters , we are classed as professionals because we actually have to be qualified, we are a on a different pay structure to everyone else I.e monthly pay not weekly . Them meal breaks you're moaning about, you do realise we don't get paid for meal breaks?? We are not really included in the shorter working week because you obviously can't really shorten shifts that are made up of long journeys, the time it takes is set and run tested. Yes there are people that will take the **** but you hey that in every function. I see plenty of small wheels collection drivers standing around talking and having long meal breaks and finishing early and they are getting paid for meal breaks. So maybe know all the facts before you make a judgment.
This time next week we should get news on VESA and GLS .
KERCHING my friends.
m8 , logistics is the one , they are still living the good old days of the 80`s , many watch videos for hour or 2 in cabs and then go to break for hour ish , jobs were that easy people would fight over the ovetime , and ghost hours wow , never seen such early finishes, SHORTER WORKING WEEK lol , less than now is laughable
HH1AN2 - In fairness to mhudson he seems to be referring to the ''working'' culture in MC's rather than posties on Deliveries.
As I've previously mentioned (and as a delivery postie of 22 years) I do agree with him, RM has a completely different attitude toward it's delivery staff compared to the Mail Centre staff who really do take the **** with antiquated and inefficient working practices unchanged from the 1970's
Yes duty structures 318's , and some are working 3 hours in an 8 hour shift
Oh your going down the exceptional circumstances route now funny how you didn’t put that in your post when you said you swapped your day of it was only when me and Keith pulled you up on it your now saying this was the reason. Look just carry on swapping your day of like Keith said do what’s best for you don’t worry about your fellow workers
Dowsie.
So how did i work 5 days last week, as per my contract, but only got paid three?
I'm quoting my contract. And I've never swapped my day off. Unless there are exceptional circumstances.
So, how many casuals are in your office helping to clear the backlog?
Like i said, 6 in my office. So that's about 16% of staff in post for any given day. Now where have i seen that number before?
All you did was swap your day of so you worked 5 days where as the people who worked 4 days actually strike How do you not understand that if everyone swapped their day of nobody would be on strike simples ps sorry for calling you thick
Memo
All duties within the M25 and our glamorous capital will be structured using only hcts in future (double decker if necessary).
All top of the range vans will be supplied to the levelling up constituencies.

@ Dowsie.
Since March 1989 i have never broken a strike.
Anyone can work their days off. That's the desperation of the managers. If you saw the state of my office, you may understand.
I think you fail to understand that up to 16% of workforce is lost through 1 day of action. That's why we have casuals.
48 hours' worth plus hire vehicles at 300 quid per week.
How many casuals do you have in your office?
Maybe you need to look at my contract. It does state that i work a 5-day week. Maybe i should take up fishing. It would be harder.
Do you understand work to rule?
And how would that apply now?
Ispy are office is not cleared it hasn’t been for a while now read my previous posts how are office works . Nobody worked Friday but we only have 12 duties and 17 staff made up of FT and PT now you say you voted for IA then why don’t you adhere to it from the beginning. You also said anyone in your office can work there day of no **** Sherlock no wonder the top brass don’t want to talk to TP or. dW the workers keep doing a 5 day week and that is why we will lose this dispute
@ mhudson.
Did you not find doing nothing absolutely terrible?
I couldn't imagine spending 8 hours at work but only doing 4. Each to their own, i suppose.
You mentioned "518's" the other day. Is that the duty structure that MC workers abide by?
Hmm yes and your point is ? I believe GLS IS HERE NOW and shares are plummeting
Strange as I did 34 years and like most did the bare minimum and looked forward to break and home time.
Half my office and playing the managers friend card and doing literally nothing
From what i've read, we have to hand over items that we have collected to GBA on production of the relevant I.D.
I'm not going to post the whole transcript at this point.
I would assume that these items will be correct for delivery that day.
A 1 hour service maybe?
OK !
All the Best
@ Keith666
Absolutely not.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion. More worrying would be my lack of response. Or indeed, yours.
I do like differences of opinion.
GBA,
Pretty some company - with a fleet of 200 vehicles.
Apologies ispy - that was a bit ****ty.
You've got to do what's best for you and your family.
@ Oli G.
I think that we've one past the nineties. Although, according to some we are still living in the past.
I haven't got the full details on this. I'd love to know how much this costs.
Maybe it's cheaper.
RMG in constant decline it would seem. And ably supported the management. And this will only impact the investors here.
I can't wait for the next few months. I fully anticipate £260 per week, every other week come November.
I may even have to dip into my fund set aside to buy shares at 100p.
Oh well. Needs must.
@ Keith666
Read my post again.
But if you say it enough, i'll agree.

Many Thanks.
