Phunt you absolute drybread you or your colleagues are Not professional in anyway a CPC card is easy to obtain trying to justify this as being a professional sums up, your level of intelligence .At the end of the day your doing a good manual job I just wish people like you would respect the real world and not the CWU world what a dinosaur you are !
Mhudson is on the ball. A foreign manager turns up and turns a club lost in the wilderness for years into a well oiled machine... for a while at least (the premier League is ultra competitive)and to the delight of the fans. Compete or get relegated. How can I put it ........like wolves playing West brom in the championship next season
anger all i can say is see what happens between now and christmas..... i for one reckon as an investor you are in for a rollercoaster of a ride and we as posties too.... as for cwu lying... take a look at the figures oli quoted..... a board of directors giving away £400m in dividends and within 12 months losing £1m a day.... behave.....
so mhudson you are mugging young kids now @£35 an hour with a car license!!!!...pmsl
mhudson, "those who drive a van on a car license are mugging a living". "
Nope , driving instructor"
So presumably you are teaching HGV lessons?
Now I've left royal fail they can do whatever they want as long as the share price goes up.
Sell it all to whoever
AngerSharkz, I have always thought that it's dangerous to take the average citizen for a fool.
Brainwashing is a different matter although you would be giving Pullinger and Ward a lot of credence to think that they could pull that off? Having said that, Johnson and Sunak spent about a year brainwashing the UK population and succeeded to a great degree but look where we are now....
Nope , driving instructor
AngerSharkz, Royal Mail went from producing a £416m profit for 2021/22 to an adjusted operating loss of £92m for the first quarter of the 2022 fiscal year.
This is possibly the worst case of poor management that you will ever see?
How on earth are the RM CEO or CFO still in a job?
AngerSharkz, your comment that "they just get one view point" is totally untrue. Sure, we receive communications from the CWU via post and social media but we are also bombarded with communications from Thompson, Macaulay and McPherson via post, our work magazine, email and the Royal Mail Workplace app so all employees have been exposed to propaganda from both sides.
anger you quote"Rick91 - ‘It's disingenuous to assume the Union has your best interests at heart when they never consult their members. In case anyone says it, a ballot paper is not a consultation, it is an ultimatum on a decision Union has already made for you.’
I made this point months ago and got pilloried by the ‘we are Union’ brigade that think they’re part of some Hunger Games style political uprising lol.
Dave Ward tells them what he thinks is ‘best’ for them and they vote yes or no. Very simple. The employees aren’t sat in the negotiations and have absolutely no idea what is being discussed…..they just get one view point."
And you as a so called investor only listen to the other side!!!!!!!!!!
one that has the BOD milking the company left, right and centre....
mhudson so now with your qualifications earned at royal mail i assume you now work for amazon.....
oli Liz truss became prime minister with less votes than our IA VOTE...
lads as a posty you are vilified on here just by letting the shareholders know what's going on...
please just do not post your frustration to them so called investors and let them work it out for their selves ... after all they are professionals!!!!!! the more you post the more they take the proverbial...(big word for a an uneducated posty maximus. i use spell checker... try it some day!!!!!!) let the educated on here do their dealing and wheeling and telling all how much they have made on the way down....PMSL... JUST LEAVE THEM TO IT .....
A quote from the song lyrics of one of my favourite bands and written by arguably one of the best three rock drummers in the history of rock music....
You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
You can choose from phantom fears and kindness that can kill.
I will choose a path that's clear, I will choose Freewill.
Rick, the current strike action is about pay only.
115,000 CWU members were balloted.
There was a 77% turnout (88,550 members)
97.6% of the 88,500 members voted yes (86,425 members).
Given that Royal Mail employs around 145,000 employees, those who voted yes account for almost 60% of the entire workforce. Now if you were a candidate standing in a local by-election and received 60% of the vote then you would be very pleased.
The turnout on strike action days has been small and certainly much less than 30% in offices (it was around 5% in my office) but that's not because the workforce that didn't vote or voted against the motion are being somewhat harassed or bullied (Royal Mail have set up a whistleblowers helpline on this plus all staff should have received a communication via their line manager), it's perhaps because they understand the democratic process.
If you take the Brexit vote, there were 46,500,001 eligible votes, 33,577,342 people voted (72.21%) of which 17,410,742 (51.89%) voted to leave. This means that the motion was carried on 39.1% of the eligible votes.
Democracy my boy, democracy.....
75000 of 110000 isn't indicative of support ?? Errrrr OK. If the 28% that didn't vote felt that strongly against strike action they would have at least had their say no ? I'm betting the majority of them agreed but just couldn't be bothered to vote.
i reiterate whilst staff in mail centres like Cardiff are getting paid night allowance on duties that could start at 4am and literally stand around most of the shift doing nothing and the night transport manager throws ghost hours out and while baystaff sit on seats , this company will NEVER compete with the big boys , glad i have left and found a decent job thats mega rewarding. The company will have to bring in change and reduce these wasted hours. If i was still there i`d now be sacked for saying just whats going on.
not a grade in royal fail i didnt do , logistics drivers are underpaid and i get the professional aspect but those who drive a van on a car license are mugging a living
I bought another tranche prior to the close at the 249.5 level.
Will be looking to add more if and when the price shows any weakness tomorrow.
Give Kretinsky the nod...and it becomes a totally different ball game from here on in.
Rick , are you suggesting that most of the 98% of staff that voted yes in a secret ballot voted that way because they were scared how they would be treated , even though no-one would even know which way they voted as it was a secret ballot ?? Strange thinking . Sounds like bs to me.
Calm down ar$ewipe, sheesh, take a pill or something. I wasn't claiming we are brain surgeons , but in the realm of courier services ( which is what we are talking about no? ) we are classed as professional drivers . In the respect that we have to train , take a test and then hold a CPC card ( certificate of PROFESSIONAL competence in case you didn't know ) so my point was we are not governened by the same rules and regs as the posties, collection drivers or mail centre staff. This is taken straight off the government website.....
Getting your Driver CPC card
You’ll get your Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card when you’ve done 35 hours of periodic training. The card is sometimes called a ‘driver qualification card’ or ‘DQC’.
You must carry this card while driving a lorry, bus or coach professionally.
Note the last word. So whilst you may think it OK to say that all hgv drivers are not professionals , you are in fact wrong.
Maximus.......... I did ........start to read......... your comment...........but I gave up.........After the first ...........Two lines..........I just couldn't ..........understand it . Was it even English?? You tard.
Funt
You make me laugh…wud love to be a professional letter box opener, but I carnt…my fingers arnt long enough and I failed the walking in a straight line and breathing at the same time task…apparently there’s an app to use…a lot of posties have the earplugs in and the app says …left right left right…breath in breath out…funny thing is i would prob pass the grammar test though…just carnt get the letter box thing right:-)
Looks like a good buying opportunity again !
