If you’ve been a LTH, no point selling now. Might as well see how this plays out though it stinks to high heaven. I got in 3 years ago and averaged at 10p for 5 grands worth. GLA
Sorry but this is curtains, take what you can and learn from it.
It’s sad because the product is good and it’s needed to go green, problem is our BoD have been too busy lining their own pockets and not caring about shareholder value.
Scott’s in for 5 grand, that’s a joke.
He’s robbed shareholders for years, get him in court together with Kenna.
Camco was sold off last year, what’s that all about getting a million now? Looks like somebody is putting the pressure on these guys for what they’ve been doing, rightly so.
Who gives up £10 million of income for nothing? Scott that’s who whist their connected businesses line their pockets.
So many BS RNSs that someone needs be held account of too.
Still hope yet !
“first Gen 3 machine manufactured and in testing awaiting delivery to Anglian Water's site”
“In March 2019, redT received a signed purchase agreement to supply 72 storage units (~5MWh) for a large grid project in the UK, with delivery scheduled to be across 2019 and 2020.”

Says the man who tried to argue with me that Gigha was not a scam and a fraud.
I asked to be on the share price guesstimate list several times with my target price being a big fat ZERO p
My price prediction stands solid.
This will go bust and soon it's finished.
Strategic Review is shorthand for FINITO.
Ball Gas argued with me last year telling everyone how wrong I was ...
How did that pan out for ya Ball gas?
ZERO p

Hey...IDS.
20% dilution nearly 50% less than sp to raise £3 million quid
2p ffs
give the company away
The Government proposal is to ban domestic gas boilers for new build housing - so about 2 or 300,000 homes per year.
Current building regs already cut heating requirements substantially but in my opinion moves such as this will push new houses closer and closer to "passivhaus" standards, so the impact would be a lot less than the Headlines suggest.
I believe that the intermittent renewables problem will need a heat based storage solution. Latent heat is a good contender, the reason defrosting and cooking a frozen meal seems to do nothing for a while is latent heat. 1414 degrees in Australia has a prototype being constructed at a sewage farm there using silicon at melting point I.e 1414 degrees . I hope Redt can succeed but a I am less optimistic with the "new year " radio silence from the company.
A government announcement ''conventional domestic gas boiler to be banned by 2025''. The average home gas boiler uses around 100kw/h per day for home and water heating. I've not done the maths. but multiply that by 25m homes in the UK and the additional electricity generation, including electric cars would be off the scale. In addition the transmission system could not support that level of demand by a factor of 100. Obviously this would require storage capacity. Is anybody looking at this from a realistic view point.
thanks OF ... interesting link. I had not considered business rates being so high - quite a barrier
In fact I suspect Red are getting relegated out of the medium players league. Have a read through this down to the bottom and Annesco are presenting again
https://www.energy-storage.news/blogs/five-things-we-learned-from-energy-storage-summit-2019
Annesco are linked with BSIF and IMO now one of the key players. A mega deal and the necessary ramp up in production will change this but time is dragging on far too much
Agree Faramog, 100MW systems are a totally different league and hundreds of shipping containers will not get planning permission and the technical requirements to connect the units to a substation is not viable on a number of fronts, the only answer is a bespoke building, I have discussed this with RED on a number of times even offered to meet with them to present out line designs I had worked on with previous battery manufactures with no interest. Or should I say understanding. REDt would have a great market space in retro fitting all the first solar and wind projects around the 10 - 20MW generation. These plants need load shifting to maintain their viability.
Well they didn't say too much on specifics, mostly reiterating what we already know - the absence of counter news indicates this open opinion to be correct though - just little hints that do not add upto much, but either the person on the phone is a complete crook, or they are genuinly optimistic. Nothing I have ever seen makes me doubt their sincerity. But yes where is that damned RNS!
Faramog, essentially I agree with you, so there! I doubt technical superiority, I also await funding with or without mega news as I have said for a while now.
I don't agree Bolgas ... leasing is a viable option to get over the up-front capital outlay issue. And the very many VFRB projects round the world ought to testify to its future success (at least in time).
It is the ONLY viable mass storage alternate to Li-Io and has numerous long term performance and environmental benefits ..... but we will see
I don't think it is too late for RED, but the offerings here have no technical superiority (like Betamax had), and before (OF) anyone harps in to rebut, where is the evidence of technical superiority ... nothing has ever been published. RED's only viable market place is niche smaller scale. Its systems are just not designed to be 100MW storage systems, the cost overhead of multiple shipping containers is too high.
I await the funding call... right after we get noises about Germany and needing money to implement it ... must be feeling in a cynical mood and its only monday morning
OldFool, I agree that they always seem very optimistic and tell be they are burning the midnight oil but where is the RNS describing what they have achieved? What did they tell you last time you phoned?
re administration, one only needs to look at the Gildemeister story to see how that could pan out. (There are those that have been suggesting that a management buy out "on the cheap" is on the cards in such a situation)
No one has talked about the option of them going in to administration and then someone buying them on the cheap. If I was eyeing them up as an acquisition I'd definitely be considering that option.
Funny old game this share business. Starngely JJJ brings up a good point that unless news is released soon a fundraise becomes far more difficult for the company to get out. I esteimated a while ago That May would be the month it is needed to raise cash for normal operations and I guess April will be used to sound out potential II participation. That gives Red 3 or 4 weeks to turn the SP around. There is no air of panic in each of the conversations myself and others have had with Red, in fact they sound quite optimistic so I think news will come shortly .... if that Mega deal is secured the SP and direction will turn around and then the fun really starts.
I don't fear a fundraise except if it is off the back of a failed Mega deal, then we would have real problems!
they will be the stop gap used, or lithium, whilst a stable alternative is found, in my opinion.

There’s big money going into alternatives, green energy that is.
Good luck.
tagware - which solid state batteries are you referring to, and why do you think that they will, unlike every other solid state battery in existence, not degrade ?
Good luck Tagware, I am not too bothered about these, if they get their act together then I'll get a nice return, if not well it does not have too much to fall anyway.
I am glad to read the two new posters having much the same opinion of the company as I have (meanwhile Yellow1 misses the mark yet again). It is interesting that Scott comes across well to others. It is correct that the company do not feel the need to RNS small sales, however I think it is time they acknoledged where they are with Gen 3 sales. When I last spoke to the company they were out of testing and were frustrated by Anglian planning issues. This really ought to not stop other Gen 3 sales. It is time the company updated us here.
